That's right... here's the excerpt from Sesame Street Unpaved:

"Legend has it that Sesame Street's famous Martians were originally made
from chenille hats with fringes, hats that were apparently inspired by
Elizabeth Taylor's headdress in the movie Cleopatra. The Martians are
actually hats turned upside down."

Yip yap memories...hmm. Yeah well I definitely am an 80's kid, so I did
my fair share of sesame street watching. Also had my occasional brush
with the yip yaps. The Count was my favorite, I've gotta admit. But the
yip yaps were a definite memorable addition. I've never forgotten the
"yip-yip-yip-yip-yip-yip-yip-uh-huh-uh-huh". I have no idea how someone
came up with that, or what they were smokin' when they did, but it's
something I'm sure many, many will never forget. Love what youre doin
here, keep it up!

From what I've seen on the net, you won't be able to find any. Not
to discourage the group from answering or searching for this, but
there seems to be an utter lack of any content whatsoever on the yip-
yips. Everybody I talk to around my age knows them, but it seems
that other than the 38 members in our group, nobody is too overly
devoted to them.

I encourage anyone to post any video or photos, sounds, whatever in
our folders, for our group to access. Hey, that's the reason we have
those folders.

(Groans) Aren't we a comedian.
I was just dared by a friend to put that in. I didn't know that I ran the place
until just recently. I had requested permission to take over, as the previous
admin wanting to resign his duty, but the control of the club was a surprise to
me.
I will soon be creating a gigantic Sesame Street Encyclopedia website, at
sesamestreet.8m.com and sesamestreetpictures.8m.com, as well as some other
domains, like sesamepark.8m.com, sesameplace.8m.com, prairiedawn.8m.com,
yipyips.8m.com, etc.. If anyone has an media or information on the show, or has
an old fan site that they'd like to merge into mine, or anyone who'd like to
literally write anything on Sesame Street for on the site, post it here, contact
me, whatever. I want my Encyclopedia-eske resource to be the Internet's best,
combining everybody and anybody's brain powers.

     i am looking for a video copy of a segemnt from sesame street.  It's an
animated sequence in which the little boy is trying to call his teacher to wish
her a happy birthday.  He keeps making mistakes and end up singing "happy
birthday miss jones...You sure have nice bones".  can anyone help me out?

the yip yips, and i actually did see them recently, but it just
doesn't hold my interest anymore.  but in order to not be moderator
