A lot of those pictures come out of the tabloids.   I've seen a bunch of them in
either US or overseas articles.

As for the personal pictures - some are from books (does anyone have the Xfiles
book where there is a pic of Piper and another crew member's child?
The later editions don't have it. I have an earlier edition of the book.), sites
where the pic is copyrighted and you can't get the watermark off
(well you can if you're good with photoshop) etc.

I have my opinions on some of the stars' photos (ms leoni for one - some big
threads in atxf).  The pictures of Piper shouldn't be there since they
were asked not to put them on the web.

Ubi Soft Entertainment has announced that David
Duchovny and Adam West will be starring in XIII, its
upcoming first-person shooter. Duchovny--best known
for playing Fox Mulder on The X-Files--will voice the
role of secret agent XIII, while Adam West--who played
Batman back in the '60s--will lend his voice to a
character named General Carrington. "XIII isn't like
any video game I have ever seen--it plays like a
suspenseful movie with a conspiracy-ridden storyline
filled with enough twists and turns to keep everyone
guessing," Duchovny said.

"Players are in for a lot of surprises with this
game--things are never what they seem, making for good
drama and a great game."

"XIII's visual style is extremely eye-catching," West
said. "The game's comic text and pop-up windows are
similar to elements we used with the Batman series to
stay true to the comic. In XIII, it builds this
graphic-novel world to the last detail."

XIII is a comic-book-inspired first-person shooter in
which players assume the role of a secret agent with
complete amnesia who has been accused of assassinating
John F. Kennedy by the FBI. As they attempt to clear
their name, players will be assisted by the hard-nosed
General Carrington, and by a character named Major
Jones who is voiced by musician and movie actress Eve.

Ubi Soft has recently announced that television
veterans David Duchovny and Adam West will voice two
characters in the developer's upcoming FPS XIII.
Duchovny, most prominently featured as Agent Mulder in
the X-Files, will assume the role of the game's main
character, an amnesiatic named XIII who has been
accused of murdering JFK and must clear his name.
Known for his portrayal of the caped crusader in the
original Batman TV series in the 60's, West will voice
XIII's bodyguard, General Carrington.
"XIII isn't like any videogame I have ever seen--it
plays like a suspenseful movie with a
conspiracy-ridden storyline filled with enough twists
and turns to keep everyone guessing," said Duchovny.
"Players are in for a lot of surprises with this
game--things are never what they seem, making for good
drama and a great game."

Duchovny In "Sex and the City"

"X-Files" star David Duchovny has ditched his search
for little green men in favor of joining the gals of
"Sex and the City."

"He might be heating up the sheets with one of the
four girls," a source close to the show told The Post
yesterday.

Duchovny is expected to appear in four episodes of the
long-running hit HBO series starting in August.

It's believed he'll play a potential suitor for Sarah
Jessica Parker's Carrie Bradshaw - even though Carrie
is currently shacking up with down-to-earth writer
Jack Burger (Ron Livingston).

An HBO spokeswoman would not corroborate upcoming
plotlines for "Sex and the City," but confirmed
Duchovny has signed on.

But executive producer Michael Patrick King hints
Duchovny might pose a problem for Carrie's on-again
off-again flame "Mr. Big."

"Why would we bring in a major name if [Big] was
already [the clear winner]?" King told TV Guide
Online.

Duchovny started filming his role on the show
Thursday.

"Sex" producers were also able to woo two other
high-profile actors to guest-star on the show.

"L.A. Law" star Blair Underwood has signed on to have
a fling with one of the four gals later this summer
and Oscar winner Tatum O'Neal will play Carrie's
friend, a baby photographer, on the Aug. 17 episode.

Like to add my 2cents, I like the actor who plays Berger(Ron
Livingston)on the show. In the beginning of the season I wasn't that
thrill about his character, but now I enjoy watching Carrie and
Berger together. As far DD concern I don't see him with SJP/Carrie at
all, but stranger things has happen it will be interesting to see
what happens next.

After having watched him last night on "Life with Bonnie" as Johnny
Volcano (and he has gray-green eyes, no brown, gold or blue there at
all from what I saw), he is going to make this part his own and he
will do well.  I never cared for Mulder, but that's a character.  DD
is a good actor and he will do a good job in this role, I am sure of
it.

I think he will do a great job, that's a really great show. Great
writing.
I read somewhere, although I confess I don't remember now, that USA
network would be re-showing their Eco-Challenge: Fiji with David's

'The Speed of Light' - the story of the past inside
the present

The subject of the Holocaust and its survivors has
been explored in literature for more than five
decades. Elizabeth Rosner, in her debut book "The
Speed of Light," takes us, the readers, one step
further - she writes about the next generation. These
are the children of survivors who inherited their
parents' grief and silently struggle with fears
unintentionally imposed on them.

"We are at a historical transition point, right now,
in which Holocaust survivors with first-hand
testimonies are slowly disappearing," said Elizabeth
Rosner, in an interview about her book "The Speed of
Light." "I feel strongly that it's my obligation as a
daughter of survivors to continue the conversation. I
feel compelled to explore the effects of inherited
grief."

"The Speed of Light" starts on a Wednesday. The story
is set in an undefined place and time. Three
first-person narratives, woven together, lead the
reader through the innermost recesses of the minds of
characters struggling with the ghosts of their past.

Julian and Paula Perel are siblings who grew up with a
father haunted by his experiences at Auschwitz, unable
to talk about these painful moments.

Julian has adopted his father's silent grief.

"Throughout my childhood, my father's ghosts came into
my room like a nightmare, invading my sleep, with what
he didn't tell me," he says.

He lives in a world conquered by anxiety and various
phobias. When he is not numbing himself in front of 11
television sets, he writes entries for a science
dictionary. He plans his days carefully as uncertainty
or unexpected events would destroy what little fearful
stability he's built upon compulsion and retreat.

Paula, on the other hand, a gifted opera singer,
diffuses sound and light. Devoted to the singing
career, she performs around the world. However,
Paula's singing is just another way to fill the
silence, just another form of the "inherited grief"
effect. When the silence is finally broken by the
truth about her father's painful experiences, which
Paula discovers while visiting Budapest, her father's
hometown, for the first time in her life she feels
fear. That's when she temporarily loses her voice.

"There was no room for my voice anymore, no place for
that translucent sound," she says. "There could only
be cold earth, empty graves, ashes and darkness. No
rightness or wrongness to any of it, simply the
silence of the dead."

After she discovers the truth and accepts the sorrow
she's been running away from for so long, she not only
recovers but is able to sing more openly.

Paula is not the only character that undergoes a
soul-saving change in the book. Discovering and
especially sharing the mysteries and pains of the past
helps Julian and Sola Ordonio, the third main
protagonist of "The Speed of Light".

Sola is Paula's housekeeper, who takes care of Julian
when Paula takes off for her singing tour around
Europe. She came to the United States after fleeing
her village in Central America.

The bond Julian and Sola forge while Paula is gone
heals both of them. Julian slowly emerges from the
shell he's been building since childhood. He smells
lemons, opens windows in his room, feels the need to
touch and to be touched by a woman, allows himself to
break his everyday routines. As for Sola, sharing
frees her from being the only witness of the massacre
that took place in her village.

"We needed the stories to tether us to the world,
sharing them among ourselves could keep us connected
to the dead and to one another," says Julian. "We
could live in two places at once - carry the past
inside the present. We could travel faster than the
speed of light."

Even if the subject weren't so compelling, "The Speed
of Light" is worth reading for the sensory journey
Rosner offers her readers. You can hear the vibrations
of Paula's vocal chords and the murmur of Julian's
television sets. You can picture Sola cleaning a
kitchen table and feel the sponge in her hands rubbing
against the surface of the table. The book abounds in
symbols and metaphors, such as Julian's science
dictionary definitions, which serve as emotional
markers for the storyline.

Rosner is a graduate of Stanford University. Her
writing, including short fiction and poetry, has
appeared in numerous poetry magazines across the
United States. After teaching creative writing for 18
years, Rosner recently retired to work on her writing
full time. She now lives in Berkeley, Calif.

Actress Gillian Anderson is working on the screenplay
adaptation of "The Speed of Light." Anderson plans to
make the film her directional debut.

Former X-Files star Gillian Anderson was rushed to hospital yesterday
after falling down the stairs at her London, England home. The 34-
year-old was taken to the private Cromwell Hospital in west London by
ambulance with suspected back and hip injuries after the accident in
the early hours of yesterday morning. Anderson shares a $2.25 million
house in the capital's trendy Notting Hill with journalist Julian
Ozanne, 38 - who followed the actress to hospital. A witness at the
Cromwell tells British tabloid the Daily Mirror, "She was clearly a
little sedated and must have been on heavy painkillers. It appeared
the paramedics were taking every precaution against worsening her
injuries. However as she was carried into the hospital she did manage
to smile at well- wishers. People appeared to recognize her
immediately although she was terribly modest and a little embarrassed
about the accident." Doctors are awaiting the results of X-rays and
tests carried out on the actress.

Gish Elected 'West Wing' First Daughter

LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Get ready to meet
President Bartlet's older daughter.

Annabeth Gish has been tapped as a recurring cast
member on the NBC White House drama "The West Wing,"
playing Elizabeth Bartlet Westin, President Jed
Bartlet's (Martin Sheen) older daughter who has been
talked about on the show but has never made an
appearance.

Bartlet's younger daughter, Zoey, played by Elisabeth
Moss, has been a recurring character on the
Emmy-winning drama from John Wells Prods. and Warner
Bros. TV.

Gish will make her debut in next season's opening two
episodes, which were written by executive producer
Wells, who has taken the reins of the series following
the May exit of creator/executive producer Aaron
Sorkin.

Sources said Gish is one of several actors "West Wing"
producers plan to bring in for recurring roles this
season.

Gish co-starred opposite Gillian Anderson and Robert
Patrick on the last two seasons of the Fox sci-fi
drama "The X-Files."

She will next be seen in the indie film "Knots"
alongside John Stamos and Scott Cohen.

checked at the hospital then immediately released without any fractures or

Pileggi Stretches In Tarzan

Mitch Pileggi, who spent nearly a decade playing Assistant FBI
Director Walter Skinner on The X-Files, told SCI FI Wire that he's
returning to series TV this fall in The WB's Tarzan, playing a
character as unlike the straight-laced G-man as possible. "Some
people perceive Skinner to be complex," Pileggi said in an interview
during The WB's fall press preview. "I just basically was trying to
remember my lines, so I guess that's what they perceive as being
complexity. But [with] this guy, ... there's a lot going on with him,
you know? He's very layered. He's very complex. ... It's going to be
very different, and it's going to be a real treat to play."

Pileggi plays Richard Clayton, the mysterious billionaire head of
Greystoke Industries, who has captured his long-lost nephew, John
Clayton Jr. (Travis Fimmel), and returned him from the jungles of
Africa, where he was raised by apes, to his hometown of New York.
Richard Clayton is a dark character, though Pileggi hesitates to call
him the heavy of the show. "In his own mind, he's not," Pileggi
said. "He has to believe—and I have to believe as an actor—that what
he's doing is right. ... That's one of the things they're really
stressing and putting a lot of emphasis on: The fact that they don't
want him to be just a heavy. They want him to have a soul."

Pileggi added, "After I finished doing The X-Files, I had to go back
to acting class to see if I could still act. ... And then this came
about, and fortunately somebody thinks that I can still act ... and
play something other than Skinner. And so, knock on wood, I'm really
grateful and really fortunate to have the opportunity."

Meanwhile, more than a year after the end of his last series, Pileggi
expressed ambivalence about reprising his most famous role in a
proposed second X-Files movie. Would he play Skinner again? "I don't
know," he said. "It's just a matter of ... You know, yeah, probably I
would do it. It's like ... I owe a lot to The X-Files. I owe a lot to
that whole nine years, you know? I met my wife. I had my
daughter. ... So it was a big part of my life. But it's nice to move
on. And having played that character for so long, and now, it's like
a fresh start. It's a new chapter. It's a new adventure, and I'm
really excited about this. And I don't know. You know, when you
finish with something, it's like you don't want to go back?" Tarzan
will air Sundays at 9 p.m. ET/PT, starting this fall.

X-Files 2 In The Works?

Dark Horizons ( http://www.darkhorizons.com/news-n.htm ) reported a
rumor that a second X-Files movie might start by the end of the year.
The site based its report on comments made by Gillian Anderson (Dana
Scully) on the British talk show Parkinson.

Anderson reportedly told the show that she and David Duchovny (Fox
Mulder) have signed on, as have Robert Patrick (John Doggett) and
Annabeth Gish (Monica Reyes). She added that the film might be a
prequel set before the events of the TV series.

The cast will also include Brian Thompson as the alien bounty hunter
and Mitch Pileggi as Walter Skinner, the site reported.

FYI: This was debunked as an incorrect rumor a few months ago.

If you've seen the two guest spots, you'll understand.  He's just a
riot on that show.  The best part: it's like 75% improv, so he gets
to be a true goof.

Yeah, but what really irritates me was that the man was on one of the best
action adventure/dramas on tv for <insert number here depending on when you
think the show jumped the shark - I'm thinking 4 years> and they paid no
attention to him.

Let him do a little bit on a sit-com and he gets a nomination.
