On March 25th the CBS show Cold Case airs an episode called "Offender."
Mitch Pileggi is in it as the character Mitch Hathaway. Here is the
summary I read: "A desperate father turned serial killer coerces the
team into taking another look of his son's 1987 murder."

I don't know how Mitch plays into the story line.
