they didnt have world idol last year, so i dont think they will have it this
year

daniel was annouced as the 2nd malaysian idol. the 1st malaysian idol
was jaclyn victor. i wonder when the world idol is held. i cant wait
to see jaclyn representing malaysia... coz she is so good, even to me,
better than fantasia barrino. i really want her to win the world idol.

I have started a World Idol 2 petition to try and get a World Idol 2
started. I e-mailed CTV a little while back and they had no plans of
making a World Idol 2 at that time, it's been a while so maybe they
are in the process of planning it, but instead of e-mailing them and
bugging them again and again, I started a petition to try and get
people to sign it and show that there is an interest for a second
World Idol and that people would watch... so if you're reading this,
would you please sign the petition and say that you would like to see
another World Idol on T.V... thanks... I would love to see Idols such
as Kalan Porter, Ruben Studdard, and Michelle McManus compete on
stage!

announced! (even though i wanted Michael 2 win) and ben will be on

Hey guys!

First of all I just want to apologise for the site being off today -
we had some admin/technical issues, but it's all sorted now! Thanks
for your patience!

Well, everything is pretty much in full swing and going really well.
I just came from my band rehearsal with my Johannesburg band - we're
getting ready for the show in the Blues Room in Thurs. I am so
axcited! The guys are really good and I just it's going to be a great
show! We've also heard that the table seats have all been sold out,
but there are still standing tickets available. If you can't make
this one remember I'll play there again on 18 March!

My weekend in Phalaborwa was quite an adventure, but ultimately fun.
I went on a few game drives while I was there and even experienced
the Kruger National Park for the first time!

I was at the CANSA Shavathon last week - they're about to launch the
whole project. Basically they're challenging people to shave their
hair or die it a funny colour to show their support for people with
cancer. I think it's an awesome cause and I want to encourage all the
SA fans here to keep an eye out for this initiative and help where
they can.

Things are looking good in Germany. Thanks to all the German fans for
pushing me there - I really appreciate it and I know I cannot do this
without you guys! At this stage it looks like a strong possibility
that I will visit there in April to promote the single and album
release - WOOHOO!! Can you imagine! It's gonna be so much fun!

I also want to come to all the other countries - especially Australia
and USA - you guys are so active as well. We just haven't made as
much head way with the record companies there as in Germany and
that's mainly why I haven't been released there yet. This is where
you all are so important. The record companies and radio stations
need to hear that I have support there to push them to play and
release my music - please keep pushing as you are, I know something
will happen if it has to.

I'm still working hard on the new album - every now and again I have
nice break throughs, but it's hard work!

Watch out Charlize! Pop Idols winner Heinz Winckler is rapidly on his
way to international stardom! His break into the international market
comes as the double platinum recording and performing artist prepares
to release his commercial single to the German, Austrian and European
markets on March 8th.

His single — featuring tracks from his first album such
as 'Soledad', 'Next Stop Happiness' and 'Chasing Shadows', which is
the theme song from Disney's 'Treasure Planet' — is set for release
to radio stations on February 6 and his latest album is to be
released in April this year.

His international recognition was cemented with his appearance on
World Idol, in which he completed in forth position — and second in
the US.

Heinz has been a busy boy indeed. On Thursday he welcomed German
Idols winner, Alexander Klaws to Cape Town. Klaws is here to shoot

Hey someone else noticed it too! She (Kelly Clarkson) looked pretty

Why is it in most of these Idol competions around the world that
there's always some pretty boy up near the top of the pack for no
good reason other than 14 year old girls find them cute.

Millsy from Aus Idol was one (for the record I think he's an OK
bloke, but...), Will Young's one (despite being gay), Heinz Winkler,
Alexander, Jamai.....

Will & Heinz didn't deserve to be in the top 5. Kelly & Kurt did. And
I'm kinda proud of the Belgian guy cause he didn't fit the mould.

The lower results (besides 1 & 2) were a bit dodgy. We'll have to all
learn to band together and take phone privlidges away from those pre-
pubescent school kiddies in the future...

I'm from Aus & I voted for Kurt.

I really wanted Guy to win, but since I couldn't vote for him I voted
for Kurt.

I didn't vote for Kurt cause I thought he was a "loser", I actually
think he gave the best performance of the night (besides Guy), even
performing better than Kelly, who I'm also a big fan of.

Like or not he did deserve it. As for someone like Heinz being so far
up in the voting, well, that was just the teeny boppers! he didn't
deserve to be that high.

Kurt would get exposure now to the big wealthy music markets. so a
huge win for him. No actual prize apparently.

But just watch out for him on the US shows now and watch his albums
being bought worldwide at least for a while. he'll have to improve
his English though.

The judges especially Dicko helped him a lot.

I would have liked to see Guy win and hope he gets a few new fans
from it all. Dicko got a lot of attention from it all.

Its all over.   Gappy McGappen has been crowned World Idol, For all
those who havent realised, Gappy McGappen is Kurt Nilsen. :-(  and
he won.  I cant say I really expected Guy Sebastian to win... but I
did expect Kelly Clarkson to win.  I would be really proud if I was
her, but didnt she looked a little.... cranky?  I still love her,
but still.

So does anyone know what Kurt wins?  I saw him getting that crappy
looking trophy thing... and he has the title of world Idol now...
but what else did he get?  Itd be pretty crappy if he got nothing...
