Its all over.   Gappy McGappen has been crowned World Idol, For all
those who havent realised, Gappy McGappen is Kurt Nilsen. :-(  and
he won.  I cant say I really expected Guy Sebastian to win... but I
did expect Kelly Clarkson to win.  I would be really proud if I was
her, but didnt she looked a little.... cranky?  I still love her,
but still.

So does anyone know what Kurt wins?  I saw him getting that crappy
looking trophy thing... and he has the title of world Idol now...
but what else did he get?  Itd be pretty crappy if he got nothing...

Anyway, Im talking crap.  The whole reason I posted this message, is
cause I wanted to be first!  YAY!!!

  Yes todays result show is going to be live.. on the Heinz site he has posted that he was leaving to go back to UK on mon the 29th.. so they will all be there live..

Hi All,

Just wanted to say hi. I have a kind of warped perspective on the
show as I am from England and was able to watch the first season of
Pop Idol over there but I now live in the US and have watched both
seasons over here. For the record my favs from those shows are Gareth
Gates, Justin Guarini and Rickey Smith. I was lucky enough to go to
the final two AI season one shows and was able to meet Justin and
Kelly both and I went to the Vegas concert too. This year I went to
two of the shows and I run a fan group for Rickey Smith, he finished
8th and is recording a CD, was able to go backstage at the final
concert and meet Rickey and some of the other contestants.

  I really enjoyed wathing World Idol. My favs were Kurt, Will, Peter
and Guy. Votes are free over here so I voted for Will for 1hr and 15
min and 15 mins a piece for the other contestants. I am on a personal
mission to hunt down Kurt's CD called I. IF anyone one knows of a
site that has it which ships to the States let me know.

I'm from Aus & I voted for Kurt. He gave a good performance.

I reckon he'll get a few votes cause Simon Cowell said he was ugly. I
don't think he's ugly- sure, I've seen prettier- but he wasn't that
bad. I felt sorry for him then: Imagine being told you were too ugly
to be an Idol in front of a worldwide audience of millions!

If Guy can't win, then go Kurt!

As far as I know, the calls are charged as per what they were during
normal idol - surely they couldn't do it for nothing?  Yes, it is
nice to give each a vote but Kizz is right they do cancel each other
out so there really isn't any point.  I just put in my one vote for
Kurt.

I don't think there was a cost for voting...wasn't it toll free?
and i don't think it's a waste (well except that it counts against
Canada in the end...
it's just an attack of conscience. didn't want NOT to vote for
everyone i could.  That wouldn't be nice. They all came a long way to
get to World Idol so i just figured might as well give them something.

It won't be a flop if one of the 2 you said, Kelly or Guy don't win.

I would like to see Guy win, but it could easily be Kurt with the
judges comments we saw, or Will with his unique style or Heinz with
his beautiful looks and voice. Even if Ryan or Peter won it would be
ok too.

The bookmakers last time I looked had Kelly and Kurt equal favourites
with Will next then Guy.

I had one vote only - for Heinz.

I had seen that and was hoping the comments about Guy were not a hint
thet he might be like Will, which he isn't. Also he did have people
doing his hair at times on Australian Idol and did not do it himself
all the time. Another hint?

I do think it's time the fro is trimmed down a bit it is getting a
bit big and golliwog like.

But in the broadcast of World Idol even though Guy said he and Kelly
were the only ones doing ok with the judges, it was Kurt who got the
standout coments like the best voice etc. As we saw him last it
looked like the main judges liked his voice the best of the night.
The 5 judges we saw were very glowing about him, The coments on his
looks - being the top idol of Middle earth etc just seemed to appeal
to everyone. He was the only idol to completely change his betting
odds after the show aired from 22/1 to equal favourite with Kelly.

It did not come out at all like Dicko and Guy said. Dicko had said
Kelly had a great voice but Guy was thr star etc b4 we saw show. He
didn't even mention the hobbit.

So some editing I take it. favourable to Kurt.

When I saw Alex, I thought "Wow, that girl has a great voice" and she
was immediately my favorite.  I doubt she has even a remote chance of
winning, but she's still my favorite.  For the past hour and a half,
I've been searching the internet, seeing where I could buy her album,
but I've been unable to.  All I found was one song that I could
download and I think it's amazing.  Does anyone know where I could
find her album?  I want to buy it so much.  Thanks.

in my opinion kelly's an artificial, stage-acting person, u can see
it in her inters or even hear about it from the other competitors.
However, she's got a nice vocal - maybe not splendid but warm-
hearted. Still, that's the feature u can get from singing lessons -
don't need to be special talented. That's why I don't think she
shouldn't get the WorldIdol title, dispite she's selling her albums
successfully, and she's becoming famous world-wide (Will Young might
be named her counterpart in UK). I think this title should be given
to someone, who's obviously a great singer, but till 25th december
was staying unrecognizable in most of countries in this world, to
someone who wasn't given a chance to have such an advancement as
Kelly or Will. I live in Belgium and haven't heard nothing about guy,
Alex or Nilsen. What a shame!!!, couse I think they'r really, really
great!!! - They'r totally different from each other, have diffrent
characters and voices, but as for me they stay TOP3. Guy's really
cute, funny and seems to be a quite interesting artist. Likewise,
Alex - really talented, spontaneous person with cheerful character
and wonderful, amazing vocal. And Nilsen - also great voice and a

Guy and Kelly did well and I thought it would be them two fighting it
out, although I did think Kelly had the advantage as she has already
made a name for herself, all my thoughts were at this point untill I
heard Kurt. What an awsome voice, I had to hear more so I downloaded
some songs from his idol comp and he is just amazing. He is ugly but
his talent far outweighs his looks.
It's interesting though when you look at the people who are getting
through, maybe the public all over the world are sick of the big
music execs telling us that only 'beautiful people' can make it as a
star and are actually more interested in talent.
Kurt has my votes for world Idol, there were a few talented people in
the line up but he just blew them all away and no one came even close
in my opinion.

worth.  Of course as an aussie I love Guy Sebastian and hope he wins
but I was a bit disappointed that he chose the song he did, it
doesn't quite show his vocal range like some others he has sung but
I hope it gets him through anyway!!  I also like Kelly Clarkson but
did expect a bit more from her performance considering the
experience she has behind her.  My vote has actually gone to Kurt
the Norwegian - I thought he did a great job and honestly beleive he
could surprise and win this thing, especially of people decide not
to vote for Kelly and Guy because they are favourites.  His song
choice also has a very broad appeal.  I was disappointed in Will and
Ryan - having heard about them previously yet not hearing anything
they had done I was expecting more, they were quite boring actually
but thats just my opinion!!  Its great to be here!!
