The Curse of Fenric PART 1 has been converted to RTF format. PART 2
and 3 to follow in the next couple of days, as well as Warriors Gate
PART 1.

Daemons (4) has been added to the files. As my other transcripts have
now been put on the "official" site, I have deleted them from this
group in order to save space. Without wishing to take the group
moderators place, could I suggest that others do the same?

I have added slightly new versions of "Terror of the Autons" (Ep 1)
and "The Mind of Evil" (Eps 1-3). These have corrections which are
not on the versions loaded onto the main site on 21/10. I have been
meaning to update the versions on the group for a few weeks now, so
apologies for any rework I may cause!

Updated transcripts have been added for all of "Galaxy 4", "Mission
to the Unknown" and "The Ambassadors of Death".

The two Hartnell stories have been updated using the BBC Audio
releases and the DWAS season three chronicles for reference
(particularly for "Mission").

"Ambassadors" is mainly an update to insert much more description of
scenes, characters and action but the dialogue has also been checked.
This source material for this, of course, is the superb BBC video
release.

Great! However, I still can't open Warrior's Gate 1. The other three I opened
with no probrlems. Are you sure you uploaded the right file?

Thanks J. Don't worry about any rework I may have to do. I've got a new
system that works better than when I first started the site :). It's alot
easier and quicker.

I like your idea about others removing the files once I have them up on the
site. However, since I'm not the moderator, it's up to him to decided when
files should be removed. I was also thinking, if the decision is made to not
remove the files, that maybe they can be moved to a sub-folder once they're
on the site. Again, it's the moderators decision. However, it would make it a
little easier to determine what's new.

For convenience I'll move them to a folder whenever updates are made.
Anyone can add or remove their own files as they wish, and as soon as
space becomes an issue the oldest files will go.

>You have The War Games Episode 8 posted on the files section.

It's gone on holiday in France while it searches for someone to
translate the language bits. But do not worry! When it returns I
fully expect it to bring back plenty of duty free wine for us all.

Talking of missing bits, if any friendly person could send the first
few seconds which my video cut off the beginning of the Gunfighters,
it might make a little more sense.

I`ve just been to the "DWTP" Site.
I notice that "Time Warrior 1" & "DCTT Fragment" have no
transcriber`s credit.
Worse still,"The 5 Doctors SE" is credited to Artimus Brown when it
was ME who did the corrections!
Thanks a lot.

Hi Bryan,

Check the MAIN PAGE under NEW TRANSCRIPTS and you'll see all three of these
as credited to actsten38. This, I believe, IS YOU.

Also, READ THE UPDATE and note that Phase 5 (Standardizing of all
Transcripts) of the updating is NOT complete. Adding transcriber credits to
the transcripts themselves IS A PART of this phase. These three ARE NOT the
only ones that don't have the transcriber credits.

Finally, all the most recent transcripts (which includes these three) have
been add AS IS! All *.doc and *.rtf files were converted to *.html, had some
minor corrections applied (background, color settings, etc.) and added to the
site. Existing *.html files (downloaded from the group) had the SAME minor
corrections applied. If there was ANY CREDIT in the file, it was left there.
If there was NONE, it stayed that way. If you check your file, you'll see you
have Artimus Brown (which is me, by the way) as making "Corrections and
Additions". It appears to me that YOU started with MY *.html file and made
the rest of the changes.

Hi DWTP Writers,

as I haven't been in contact for a while, this is just to give a
brief update on my little transcription of The Silurians lest
someone believe that no work has been carried out on
episodes 4 - 7.

Episodes 1, 2, 3: some extremely minor nitpicks corrected
when I played the tape again.
Episode 4, 5: fully transcribed from an audio cassette
(I didn't want to wear out my video going backwards
and forwards umpteen times :). Missing: only a few
descriptive passages at the end of episode 5, and the
credits for both episodes remain to be done, when I
view the video tape. (Currently they are the same as
episode 3)
Episode 6: I have a rough cut of this - I've transcribed most
of the spoken text of the episode, without indicating the
speaker (the context is usually enough for me to work out
the speaker :) There are however a lot of descriptive
passages required for this (e.g. all of the London scenes)
Episode 7: Unbegun yet.

The current Episode 1,2,3 and draft Episode 4,5 (with
incorrect credits as explained above) are available from
http://www.carringbush.net/~pml/dr_who/silurians/intro.html
though for obvious reasons I don't wish Episodes 4 and 5
to be posted on the Transcripts site yet.

Cheers, Philip

Episode 1 of "Dalek Masterplan". This is an update of the current
transcript on the site but corrected using the CD release and the
DWAS season chronicles book to add a great deal of description and to
correct quite a few lines of dialogue. The rest of this story will
follow but no promises about timelines!!

Episode 1 of "Inferno". Again, the rest will follow soon(ish)

and

As per a previous request, the first few minutes of the episodic
version of episode 1 of "The Gunfighters".

Some time back, in an attempt to get organised, I started a database
which I have been endeavouring to keep more or less up to date.
It might save a little on the usual squashed toes and lynchings if
stories intended for production were announced prior to work so they
can be added. This could especially help multiple transcribers.

Why does the file I uploaded (the Mission To The Unknown Linking
Narration) now say it was created by someone else? Please explain as
I was the one who provided this...

As there is now a note saying check before transcribing, I will now
ask if the rest of the linking narration (eg- Daleks Masterplan Part
1-12) is wanted in the group. Answer soon, please.

And finally, are the transcriptions for the TV Movie acts I provided
good enough? I know they were not complete but... that goes for the
Sontaran Experiment, too! Please answer.

I simply snipped the description, no big. I left the file complete,
including any credits it may contain.

>As there is now a note saying check before transcribing, I will now
>ask if the rest of the linking narration (eg- Daleks Masterplan Part

I don't believe anyone else here has expressed the desire to do
these..?

>And finally, are the transcriptions for the TV Movie acts I provided
>good enough?

Anyone is free to post here anything on topic they like, but if
someone is already doing the story it does seem a little pointless.
(Having made the mistake myself) And especially when there are so
many stories left untouched.
I have material from the story done already, and will be continuing
with it myself in a few episodes time.

Hopefully the system will prevent people reserving a story that they
have no intention of doing, and doubling up on stories that are
already getting done. Other than that it's still first come, first
served.

>that goes for the Sontaran Experiment, too!

I think someone asked to do that story a while back, but I will take
this opportunity to ask again. If no-one steps up in a few days, the
assumption must be that they are not doing it after all.
