I agree with John here.
If anyone finds any dialogue mistakes in a person's transcripts,
amendments can be posted in messages here for convenience, provided
(of course) that only the episode's scene number and ammended
passages are posted from the transcripts. And then the original
transcriber can decide to change the things if they wish.

K9's line was in the original broadcast.
It seems the Five Doctors has had a bit of a ride. Broadcast as one,
repeated in episodes, edited for overseas broadcast, released edited
on VHS and Betamax, released on laserdisc, re-released (unedited) on
VHS again , remastered in a way that made it worse than the original
for yet another VHS release - then released on DVD on both sides of
the Atlantic, but without Uncle Tewwy's commentry here in the UK.
How shall we celebrate 40 years of time travelling? What about a Five
Doctors release, but this time with Easter eggs? :)

>So, I was trying to think of how we could maybe find a way of making
>transcribing easier so that we could get through all these episodes
>quickly.

Sara: Interesting idea, but speed isn't really the object. As long as
most of us are occupied there will be at least a few new episodes for
people to read every so often. It seems to work as a kind of free for
all here, providing that two people aren't unknowingly doing the same
thing.
Breaking the stories into episodes for people may work to share the
stories around when there are only a few left; but as it is, there is
more than enough for everyone.

(Dæmons)
>Could anyone tell me what the coven say - it sounds like "Eoh evoteh"
>or "Eko evoteh"! Could anyone say for sure?

I don't know how the script book matches, but according to pages 39
and 41 of the novelisation it's:

"Io Evohe"

And the later incantation is:

"EV A, EV ARA, EGABALA!
GAD, GADOAL, GALDINA!"

Now if someone could just tell me how to spell what is being said in
the French bits in the War Games episode 7, I'd be able to post it.
The novelisation seems to be no use for that scene.

"Colony in Space" episode 6 has been added to the files section. The
remainder of "The Daemons" to follow soon, therefore completing
season 8.

I've also added corrected versions of all seven episodes of "The
Daleks". The first four episodes are further revisions to my own
corrected versions on the main transcripts website. Episodes 5 to 7
are newly corrected versions of Christopher McElroy's transcripts.

All these new versions have been written with close attention to the
remastered video release and a line-by-line, word-by-word comparison
with the Titan script book.

I'm currently working on revised versions of "Galaxy 4", "The Keys of
Marinus" and "The Ambassadors of Death".

Hello Everyone!

I just thought I'd let you all know that I FINALLY updated the DWTP
(http://www.kingspyder.com/dwtp/)!

63 transcripts have been added, 2 partial transcripts have been added and 8
transcripts have been updated. I've also begun standardizing the transcripts and
adding fonts to some of the pages (make sure you download and install the
fontpack)! You'll also notice a complete re-design of the site. I hope you all
enjoy it!

Now, some questions:
John Tomlinson - Some time ago we were discussion the fonts used in the title
sequences for each Doctor. I'm afraid I've lost most of what you sent me on
this. Can you please re-send the fonts and the info on where they're used again?
Thanks.
narlythotep2002 - I can't open you're versions of The Curse of Fenric book
comparison or Warrior's Gate Episode 1. It's in a newer version of Word and
nothing I have can recognize it. Can you save and send it to me in either RTF or
HTML please?

Well, that's about it. Comment and questions are welcome.

Take care,
Artimus (KingSpyder)

Daemons (4) has been added to the files. As my other transcripts have
now been put on the "official" site, I have deleted them from this

I have added slightly new versions of "Terror of the Autons" (Ep 1)
and "The Mind of Evil" (Eps 1-3). These have corrections which are
not on the versions loaded onto the main site on 21/10. I have been
meaning to update the versions on the group for a few weeks now, so
apologies for any rework I may cause!

Updated transcripts have been added for all of "Galaxy 4", "Mission
to the Unknown" and "The Ambassadors of Death".

The two Hartnell stories have been updated using the BBC Audio
releases and the DWAS season three chronicles for reference
(particularly for "Mission").

"Ambassadors" is mainly an update to insert much more description of
scenes, characters and action but the dialogue has also been checked.
This source material for this, of course, is the superb BBC video
release.

Thanks J. Don't worry about any rework I may have to do. I've got a new
system that works better than when I first started the site :). It's alot
easier and quicker.

I like your idea about others removing the files once I have them up on the
site. However, since I'm not the moderator, it's up to him to decided when
files should be removed. I was also thinking, if the decision is made to not
remove the files, that maybe they can be moved to a sub-folder once they're
on the site. Again, it's the moderators decision. However, it would make it a
little easier to determine what's new.

For convenience I'll move them to a folder whenever updates are made.
Anyone can add or remove their own files as they wish, and as soon as
space becomes an issue the oldest files will go.

>You have The War Games Episode 8 posted on the files section.

It's gone on holiday in France while it searches for someone to
translate the language bits. But do not worry! When it returns I
fully expect it to bring back plenty of duty free wine for us all.

Talking of missing bits, if any friendly person could send the first
few seconds which my video cut off the beginning of the Gunfighters,
it might make a little more sense.

Hi Bryan,

Check the MAIN PAGE under NEW TRANSCRIPTS and you'll see all three of these
as credited to actsten38. This, I believe, IS YOU.

Also, READ THE UPDATE and note that Phase 5 (Standardizing of all
Transcripts) of the updating is NOT complete. Adding transcriber credits to
the transcripts themselves IS A PART of this phase. These three ARE NOT the
only ones that don't have the transcriber credits.

Finally, all the most recent transcripts (which includes these three) have
been add AS IS! All *.doc and *.rtf files were converted to *.html, had some
minor corrections applied (background, color settings, etc.) and added to the
site. Existing *.html files (downloaded from the group) had the SAME minor
corrections applied. If there was ANY CREDIT in the file, it was left there.
If there was NONE, it stayed that way. If you check your file, you'll see you
have Artimus Brown (which is me, by the way) as making "Corrections and
Additions". It appears to me that YOU started with MY *.html file and made
the rest of the changes.

Hi DWTP Writers,

as I haven't been in contact for a while, this is just to give a
brief update on my little transcription of The Silurians lest
someone believe that no work has been carried out on
episodes 4 - 7.

Episodes 1, 2, 3: some extremely minor nitpicks corrected
when I played the tape again.
Episode 4, 5: fully transcribed from an audio cassette
(I didn't want to wear out my video going backwards
and forwards umpteen times :). Missing: only a few
descriptive passages at the end of episode 5, and the
credits for both episodes remain to be done, when I
view the video tape. (Currently they are the same as
episode 3)
Episode 6: I have a rough cut of this - I've transcribed most
of the spoken text of the episode, without indicating the
speaker (the context is usually enough for me to work out
the speaker :) There are however a lot of descriptive
passages required for this (e.g. all of the London scenes)
Episode 7: Unbegun yet.

The current Episode 1,2,3 and draft Episode 4,5 (with
incorrect credits as explained above) are available from
http://www.carringbush.net/~pml/dr_who/silurians/intro.html
though for obvious reasons I don't wish Episodes 4 and 5
to be posted on the Transcripts site yet.

Cheers, Philip
