Enter your vote today! A new poll has been created for the
whoscripts group:
Do we as a group feel that the new seasons (2005 onwards) of Doctor Who should
be transcribed? (BTW this is just a gauge for popular feeling on the subject)
o Yes. We should transcribe the new series! Nothing in the world can stop us
now! w3 s0 1337!
o No. NEVER transcribe the new series! Far better not to risk the classic
series archive.
o Not now. Possibly allow it in a few years, after the classic series has been
completed.
o Like, whatever, man. I couldn't care less.
o I want to be a tree.

Regarding Transcripts of the new series. I've been curious about what
the group thinks regarding this for a while now. I am still of the
opinion that it would be a VERY bad idea, but have adopted a more
relaxed attitude to it previously.
Bear in mind that the old "It's an advertisement" thing is no excuse,
as some other sites have discovered.

Has it really been two years since I started this?
Apologies for taking so long about it.
I`ve finally got around to working on this again and have posted an
updated version of Episode 2. Seems I mixed up my episode endings when
working from the compilation VHS.

Thanks to those who took the time to do the poll.
This group was originally set up as a convenient place for
transcribers and readers of the classic series. At the time there
wasn't any indication that Doctor Who was much more than a magical
relic of televisual history.
Obviously the situation is very different now; so I've come to the
decision that whilst this is not a spoiler free zone, episodes from
the current series should not appear here.
Therefore I request that only transcriptions of things up to about the
90s are placed on this group for the time being.
Lastly, an honourary visit from the Rani goes to whomever it was that
requested a treeing. :)

It's really strange how time can escape one. I expect it'll escape us
all more and more with the new series looming on the horizon.
I'm interested to know if anyone has any of these?
Movies - Not so much the 60s Cushing movies but the unmade Green
Light/Daltenreys/Amblin ones covered by the L'Officier's Nth Doctor
Book.
Plays - I'm particularly interested in seeing scripts for Curse of the
Daleks, John Ostrander's Inheritors of Time, Ultimate Adventure and the
Trial of Davros.

The Dalek Invasion of Earth 2150 can be found on the mirror site on
the front page of this group.
You may want to check the files section in this group:

Not sure if any of the copies which buzz around have made
their way online yet. It'd also be fun to see The Seven Keys to
Doomsday.
I must admit to being interested in the Altered Vistas production of
Curse. The site is well worth a look - especially if you like 60s
dalek comics: http://www.alteredvistas.co.uk/index.html

A start has been made on a transcript for The Ultimate Adventure. As
soon as I get a moment to finish it, it'll be in files.
If you want to see the show itself just drop me an email.
i deleted, then resubmitted frontios part 1 as well as part 2
i noticed that for some reason for part 1 i had "Adric - Matthew
Waterhouse" in the credits...hmm

The scars from Earthshock still haunt many others even to this day.
Rumour has it there is a secret society of closet Adric-fans who wait
and prepare for his eventual return... Although I've never been brave
enough to attempt any further investigation.
I realise that this group is all about scripts for the original series
but are there any plans to include the new series at all?

I have recently found a snazzy site where they have all been completed
up the current episode. It's a quite a good thing that no-one here has
been making a duplication of effort.
http://who-transcripts.atspace.com/
On the tripod site, the explanation of the colors used should appear on
all of the pages that use those colors. It's inconvenient to have to go
back and forth to see what they mean.
- R
Actually - now someone has brought the tripod site up, and I've been meaning to
post this for a while...
Does anyone else have problems getting to the transcripts? Or is it just my
computer which doesn't like tripod sites? I can only get to one or two pages of
transcript in a session before things start freezing or refusing to load the
page, and the only way to continue is to disconnect and start again, which
doesn't always work.
As a more general remark, it might be good to have an index of what has been
transcripted and what has not.
Having said that, however - I think the transcripting project is a great one
and I certainly appreciate all the effort and time that goes into it, so also a
general 'thank you' to all who contribute.
Aye, ever yours
Emily

(All of the Monks are ready to leave.)
KHRISONG: Is there any sign?
RALPACHAN: No, every room is empty.
THOMNI: Mr.Travers and the Doctor are nowhere to be found.
KHRISONG: It as you wished. The monastery is deserted.
SONGSTEN: This is well. I will ask a final blessing of our Master,
Padmasambhava, then we will depart.
(This triggers something off in VICTORIA.)
VICTORIA: Padmasambhava.
JAMIE: Try not to think about it.
VICTORIA: I.. I..
(The DOCTOR and TRAVERS arrive back at the gates.)
JAMIE: Doctor!
VICTORIA: I think.
DOCTOR: Khrisong, I have found the control.
KHRISONG: It is too late, Doctor, I can no longer help you.
DOCTOR: But you don't understand! It's here! In the monastery.
TRAVERS: What? That's impossible!
SAPAN: But the monastery is empty, we are all here.
DOCTOR: Are we? Are we all here?
THOMNI: The Master! (Error)
SAPAN: Songsten is with him!
KHRISONG: Then he is in great danger! Stay where you are. All of you.
(KHRISONG rushes off. TRAVERS is suddenly able to remember everything
that happened to him.)
TRAVERS: I remember. Songsten, the Yeti, on the mountain. Yes, yes, it's
all coming back to me.
JAMIE: Tell us.
TRAVERS: There was this cave...

There is no way possible this is Thomni, the voice is at least an octive
lower, and totally dissimilar to that of Thomni.
Likely suspects are: Travers, Khrisong, or Ralpachan. Though do to the
context the most likely is Khrisong, or Ralpachan.
I strongly lean towords Khrisong, and have even built my recon on that
premiss.

Is anyone allowed to just come along and transcript an episode,
assuming no-one else is?
My name is Rhys Elliott, I'm 15 years old, and I found this website
via a link on a forum, and I think it's a fantastic idea. I don't have
any episodes that aren't on DVD, so reading the transcripts is really
interesting; especially for the "lost" episodes.
I'd like to transcript Genesis of the Daleks, as it's not been done
and nobody is yet doing it, and it's my favourite episode, so it means
I get to watch it a lot!
"(Too late -- the old man heard them. He opens the, music is heard
coming out, and he quickly closes it again as Ian starts towards him.)"
Of course, it should say (I think) that he opens the TARDIS door. Only
a minor mistake, although it could make a difference to those who
haven't seen the episode.
Still, well transcripted though. I'm enjoying reading it as well :)
Of course, it should really say that he open the police box door, as
we don't yet know it's the TARDIS.
