Day of the Daleks (4). Note that there was a small error in the
credits on the previous episodes of this story. The Doctor should
have been credited as Dr. Who and not Doctor Who.

Hi Everyone!

I've just gotten back on-line again I thought I better see what's happening
here. Boy, you've all been busy! Before I go into what you've been doing, let me
explain myself (ie, Where the heck have I been?)

I'll try to make it short:
September 2002 - Switched jobs and didn't have much time for anything.
December 2002 - Phone got disconnected for an extended time. Quit above
mentioned job due managerial conflicts. That, and the place got robbed twice in
three days.
March 2003 - Sometime about here (I think) is when the domain went down.
Obviously, this was due to lack of payment (still no job at the time). Towards
the end of the month I finally got another job AND had the phone turned back on!
From here to May I was working on paying other bills.
May 2003 - My Dad had a heart attack early in the month. He had a quadrupple
by-pass and was expected to be out of work for three months. Obviously, I had to
put certain things on hold.... (ie, ISP, domain, etc.).
June - Dad's doing great! He was even permitted to go back to work. He's only
allowed to do extra light duty, part-time and only four to five hours two to
three times a week. Bills are caught up and I finally am able to get an ISP
again!

This brings us to the present. I AM investigating options for the site and DO
plan to work with it again. The only difference will be that I'm dropping all
the other stuff and concentrating on the DWTP this time!

As to what you all have been doing:

I've only been able to scan the messages headers and read a few, so please bear
with me.

If I understand it right, all of Hartnell is complete?! If this is so, that's
great! It's exactly what I wanted to see for the site for the 40th Anniversary!

I also see that several people have taken it upon themselves to make mirrors of
the site. I think that it was a wonderful idea and full support mirrors of the
site! However, I must warn you that I've not been idle these past few months.
I've done an extensive reworking of the site with a completely new layout. If
you're planning on keeping an exact mirror of the site, you'll have some work to
do :).

I've also seen some issues brought up concerning writer credits on several
episodes. I will deal with these before the new site is put up. However, please
be aware that I don't have any way to verify some things, so it may be ommited.
Or, I have just put up what the transcriber suppied and haven't verified it yet.
Or, I just over-looked it. See, there's a rational explaination for everything!
:)

Fonts: I've always been supportive of this idea, but never had time to implement
much of it into the site. With the dropping of other projects, I'll give it a go
again. Thanks for posting more info in this John!

Finally, I do have a new e-mail address (kingspyder@...), but, please
don't bombard me with transcripts yet. I need to get organized and verify that
my copy of the site is in working order. It's been a few weeks since I looked at
it and I'm not sure what kind of state I left it in. I'll let you all know when
I'm ready and when the site goes live again. However, don't hesitate to send
comments or questions to me personally, if you wish.

Thanks for your time. Hopefully I won't disappear for so long again.

Take care,
Artimus (KingSpyder)

Good news about the site. As for fonts, I'm still researching the

I must apologise - I've been promising the transcript of Earthshock
for years, it seems! University takes up most of my time and most of
my holiday time is taken up with house chores and my job stacking
shelves. I just can't seem to find the time for Earthshock.

I wouldn't like to promise anything and then break it, but I hope to
get Part One down withing the next week/ 2 weeks and then I'll get
going with the next parts, hopefully quickly and hopefuly before the
DVD in August!

Apologies and Kind Regards, Robert :)

Hello once again!

Just a quick note to let you all know what I discovered while getting the site
organized. I found that I really didn't have the entire site complete AND I
still had links to the other stuff I was doing on KingSpyder's World. So, I have
to finish what I starteded as well as remove all the other stuff. This will take
some time.

However, I have uploaded a preview at http://dwtp.topcities.com/
Please give this a look, give me your comments (good or bad) and give
suggestions. Please note: I am going to resurect the Documentaries and Sketches
sections so, no need to suggest that! :)

Take care,
KingSpyder

Hmm, I didn't seem to write anything ... hmm

Anyway, what I wanted to say was that the new format looks much
neater and more straightforward - text on right, links on left. Good
work, old bean! Hopefully if your site crashes again, we may get some
warning and not have heart attacks! ;-)

Hello everyone.

The Dominators is now up for anyone who wishes to find out whether
the Doctor and his companions escape those ruthless, big-shouldered
aliens and their spiked assassins unscathed - or will they all
suddenly get boiled alive at the last moment?
I assume that The Mind Robber 5 is on the way soon, and this will
wrap up the Troughton era. Woohoo. *Gets another party popper ready*

I see the issue of Big Finish transcriptions has been raised again.
Please don't.
The best course of action by far is to show support for your
favourite programme by buying their CDs. Allow them to continue to
keep an important new part of Doctor Who alive by making them
popular. (I enjoyed one BFA so much I seem to have acquired two
identical copies for some strange reason)
Alternatively, I'm sure that ordering the CDs at your local library
would be just as good, or one of their published script books.

Official scripts are always a bit better than fan made efforts. IMHO
The season 12 script book is a fantabulously detailed "must buy" item
for all those interested in these things. If only they did the same
for each season of the sixties. Poot! (It might be a fun exercise one
day, to get some people who have real scripts together just to gauge
how many of these museum-worthy treasures are known to have survived
those hungry BBC furnaces)
I would tend to have the same opinion about supporting (IE not
transcribing) BBC DVD extras too, and a few other new bits and pieces.

Picture files. It might be better if these were kept to a minimum, or
preferably be archived on a web site. Still, fun to see all the
perfectionists at work.

One last thing: All trolls will be exterminated. There will be no
further discussion on this issue.

Have fun,

Fair enough, I'll cut out that scene in which they speak French; what
I really should have just done that in the first place. It's not
really very critical anyway, and a little cheaper than hiring Frazer
Hines to record linking material to keep everyone entertained in the
meantime.

The War Games 7
Are the Doctor and his two young friends doomed to be squashed inside
the SIDRAT?
Can the resistance ever organise into a force capable of challenging
the War Lords?
And what will it take to get that General Smythe to stop swearing on
screen?
Only you can find out.

Well that about wraps it up for Troughton's tenure. At this point I
must thank (Upon behalf of myself and other readers) all those who
contributed to the completion and correction of the first two Doctors.

Obviously I could hardly do this without recognising the enormous
continuing effort that people are putting into battling with all of
the other stories.

Unfortunately, personal circumstances of late mean that I won't be
able to do any more transcriptions for a while, so I've taken myself
off the database for the time being. I'll still be in and out from
time to time though.

'Over here! Move in this way!'

'The river ... he's heading for the river.'

'After him! Cut him off! Mutt! Mutt! Mutt!'

That's how the TARGET version runs.

clarification on. If it's ok with you, I'll post the details in a

"The Mutants", Episode One. I'm afraid that I can't confirm if the
Marshal's words in the transmitted episode conform to that stated in
the previous post from the Target novelisation. The words are just
too indistinct and do not sound like "River". I've therefore left
them as a blank line in the first scene, unless anyone can tell me
different?

...with "The Mutants", specifically Episode 2 and the scene early on
in the episode where Ky and Jo materialise down on Solos. Ky's first
words are drowned out by the sound effect of their materialisation
but they carry on as "No Overlord can exist without a mask."

The second 'lost' line is seconds later when the alarm starts to
blare out and covers what Ky says but it carries on as "...outside.
The atmosphere is poisonous! No Overlord can exist for more than a
few hours without a mask."

Can anyone advise what appears in the Target book?

Many thanks

Updated and corrected versions of Episodes 1 and 2 of "The Space
Pirates". Episode 1 especially has been updated to describe the
individual film sequences that are not detailed in the present
transcript from "Earthbound Timelords". This updated version is from
the CD and the DWAS Season Chronicles. Episode 2 is revised from the
video.

I've also added a file called "Corrections". The end of this file
has the missing "French" sequence from "The War Games" Episode 7.
I've transcribed this from my own limited knowledge of French, a few
dictionaries and the help of a colleague at work. The only part
which defeats me is Du Pont's very first line. It sounds very
like "Que Bous?" but I'm told no such phrase exists in French. Can
anyone help?

The first part of this file are corrections to the reprises and
credits of "The Sensorites". I suspect that the transcripts on the
site were derived from a "movie" version, rather than the correct
episodic version. I've therefore put down where the episodes should
begin, where the title credits appear and what the correct end
credits should state. There are a few other stories where this needs
to be done but one at a time.

Further transcripts of "The Mutants" soon.
