This story reminds me of a similar story from Japan which occured at
Toho studios, when some lowly staffer forgot where he placed a full
sized Godzilla suit and some people made off with it. The people at
Toho went door to door asking if anyone had seen Godzilla around
there. I believe they wound up finding the suit in a dumpster.
