Thought this was an interesting discussion.

Season 1 was awesome partly because it was all new and very
different. Now we know the characters or we at least think we know
them. Now they are doing things that we feel are either out of
character or we're just not liking it all.
Imagine if we started at Season 2. Imagine if we didn't know
Veronica
before. I don't think we would be complaining so much. In fact, I
think we'd find it quite intriguing. I like this year's main mystery
arc. This season is so much darker than last year.
My only complaint is that each episode is so packed with stuff that
by the end I am exhausted. Jackson's King Kong ain't got nothing on
Veronica Mars! Also, the quality of the cinematography seems a bit
off too.
I am going to say the unpopular thing - I don't like Veronica and
Logan together. They are so much better when they've got an
uncomfortable alliance going. I am excited about Logan and Weevil
teaming up. Weegan, anyone? I also understand why she is with
Duncan.
Veronica is playing it safe/normal and normal/safe Veronica isn't
the
edgy Veronica that we love. I find myself saying "Snap out of it,
V!"
The problem is that Duncan is far from normal, just not in a
particularly interesting way.
