Had it not been for Joss Whedon creating Firefly, would Zac Efron (young Simon Tam) have become the High School Musical sensation that drives me insane, or would it have happened anyway? Is it Zac's fault that it drives me insane? Is it a secret Alliance plot?
Also, After taking a week or so to recuperate from one hell of a preparation period for CSTS in Salt Lake City, I will be running the numbers and getting the total raised out to you all. It wasn't as high as last year, as we had so very little time to put it together, however it is much higher than I thought was possible with so little time to prepare. In all actuality, I was very fearful that we were going to take a loss, but thanks to you all, we were able to raise a bit of money after all.
All of you who made it all very possible deserve a massive round of applause for making it happen. I
am already working to prepare next years event, and I am working to have a date and venue for next year set by the middle of December. With MUCH more lead time, we can really raise some serious cash for Equality Now next year.
I am thinking of putting together a get together at Godfathers Pizza in Taylorsville the first Saturday or Sunday in December (they have a nice all you can eat buffet for about 7 bucks, and we can have their big party room no extra charge). If so, would anyone be interested in attending?
