Heh  I think we just proved the opposite by not supporting a Canadian all-Whedon
con when we had the chance to make it something really special and our own!  ;)

BUT it looks like Wizard World is doing the same thing they've been doing with
the US leg of their tour, and bringing in a handful of Buffy-esque guests, so
let's see if anyone shows up for it this year!  Last year's turnout for Jewel
was pretty abysmal, as I recall.  Same with when Ron was at Polaris.  But maybe
Buffy guests will draw more of a crowd than those pesky Serenity ones did. :)

Hi all,

I had put up a poll for movie and dinner for Saturday, October 30.

At this time, there doesn't seem to be a whole lot of interest. I know many
people have plans for Halloween parties etc.

I will give people until Wednesday at noon to RSVP or to change existing RSVP.
Location TBA but will be in Toronto along subway line, as usual.

If we don't get at least 6 solid RSVP's for dinner, event will be cancelled so
people can make alternate plans.

That's right, shiny Brownocats! Just one month from now the Bedlam Bards will be
back in town at SFContario in Toronto. They have a full concert, plus will be
involved in workshops and panels and hypnosis sessions all weekend long.

Not good enough for you? How 'bout the fact that the Concom have informed me
that Heather Dale and Ben DuChamp have been added to the concert line up as
well?

STILL not good enough for you? They will be having a DOCTOR HORRIBLE SING A LONG
BLOG during the course of the con, too.

writing "I AM A  BROWNCOAT" on your membership form you will receive a special
goody packet at registration when you pick up your badge. So what, you say? Some
of the things it will include will be a discount coupon for the Firefly Cargo
Bay booth in the dealers' room and a DVD of a Bedlam Bards concert that can be
obtained NO WHERE else!

Incidentally, the FFCB booth will not only have my stuff, including sneak
preview items in the 2011 line, but will also be offering shinys from Ma Cobb's
Hat Shoppe, Darkly Designed, and GypsyHeart handcrafts.

We have monthly shindigs and hope you will be able to come to them. They are
usually the 3rd Saturday in the month
The one on Saturday the 30th looks a little iffy since it is later in the month 
and not everyone can make it. But then, not everyone has voted either. get on

The Oct 30 meet is cancelled due to lack of people being able to attend.

We will have another gathering soon.

It wasn't just the movie, there was a dinner after, the movie was just for
anyone who wanted to go beforehand.

But since people weren't even showing much interest in even the dinner portion,
another time.  I know many have plans that night because of Halloween parties. 
Thought I would give it a shot.

November we will do something.

I have a ticket for sale for the upcoming Whedon con in LA - November 6-7, 2010.

It is a Gold ticket up front, row c.  Gold tickets are now SOLD OUT.

Original cost was $379 US plus service charges. If interested, make me an offer.

I would hate for someone to be looking for a Gold ticket, finding they are sold
out and buying something at the back of the convention hall when there is a
ticket available.  I may even have two available seated together.

I think organizers said for the ball itself there was about 140 or 160 or so
people.  But the numbers varied over the whole weekend because not everybody
attended the whole thing.

I only got 2 photos taken of the waltzing lessons on Friday afternoon before my
camera died.  That's what I get for being environmentally conscious and buying a
rechargeable camera with an odd type of battery.  And then forgetting to take
the charger with me.  boo.

Let's have a shindig this Saturday, November 5.

We will have it at Yonge and Eglinton this time.

There are two movie theatres in that area so among them, there will most likely
be a thing or two people want to see.  I want to see Hereafter if anyone wants
to joine me before the shindig.

Then, we will have dinner at the Pickel Barrel which is right inside the same
complex as Silvery City Yonge and Eglinton on the north/west corner of Yonge and
Eglinton.  I don't advise you park in the mall though, it's pricey.  Pick a lot
off Eglinton or the one behind the Rose and Crown, where we ate last time.
