I am not a spammer. Military Pride is a legitimate organization that gets
information from deployed troops and their family members. Any donation goes to
cover the cost of packages. When a unit expresses a need, packages are sent out
whether there are sponsors available for the troops or not. Donations cover the
cost of buying these items and sending them off.
Any information I passed on was received directly from the troops or their
spouses. If you care you care. If you don't you don't. I am not some
scatterbrained idiot latching onto the latest cause. I am a veteran of the Gulf
War and researched this organization thoroughly before I signed up to be a
sponsor. I was just trying to pass on something for a friend and drum up a
little support for our troops, who seem to be forgotten in the news and by most
people lately, now that the war is "over."
Whatever. I don't know any of you, you don't know me, and that's the way it
should be. I'll stay on these lists for a while, so that you all know I'm not
the spammer some people are accusing me of being, but after that, I'm gone. I
see too much cynicism in the world as it is, I don't care to see it from the
virtual world.
