Torchwood: Children Of Earth. Here is what we know on scheduling.
1) BBC One (with a BBC HD simulcast) will insist on airing the episodes fir=
st. Maybe by hours, maybe by days. Any network that schedules Children Of E=
arth - you know that either BBC One will air ahead of that or they will for=
ce said network to revise plans and delay the show.
2) BBC One has not announced when they will air the episodes. Bugging James=
Moran on Twitter is not going to get you an airdate, because they have not=
told him either.
3) BBC America is the only network to announce a firm schedule - 5 day stri=
p from Monday 20 July to Friday 24 July. So Torchwood's UK premiere will be=
20 July or sooner (bearing in mind point #1 above). Torchwood is part of t=
he launch of BBC America HD.
4) UKTV Australia and SPACE in Canada have announced that Torchwood: Childr=
en Of Earth is coming in July as well. No airdate announced for either one,=
and point #1 still applies. BBC HD Australia has claimed that they will si=
mulcast the Torchwood episodes with UKTV Australia.
5) BBC Entertainment South Africa bought Torchwood: Children Of Earth as we=
ll. As that network has yet to air Series 2 of Torchwood, it is expected th=
at it will be a while before they can get to the Children Of Earth episodes=
.
6) The 3 Radio Plays on BBC Radio 4 from Wednesday 1 July to Friday 3 July =
are available to listen to around the world and are set prior to the Childr=
en Of Earth episodes.
