BLADERUNNER: The Final Cut
Release Date: December 18, 2007
A new website is up and running for the new BLADE RUNNER DVD. Go to
http://bladerunnerthemovie.warnerbros.com.

Be sure to watch all the trailers. The comments from cast and crew are
wonderful and give you some idea of the complexity -- and difficulty
-- in making this movie.

SYNOPSIS:
Synopsis: Visually spectacular, intensely action-packed and powerfully
prophetic since its debut, Blade Runner returns in Ridley Scott's
definitive Final Cut, including extended scenes and never-before-seen
special effects. In a signature role as 21st-century detective Rick
Deckard, Harrison Ford brings his masculine-yet-vulnerable presence to
this stylish noir thriller. In a future of high-tech possibility
soured by urban and social decay, Deckard hunts for fugitive, murderous
replicants - and is drawn to a mystery woman whose secrets may undermine his
soul.

WHAT'S NEW IN THE WORLD OF SCIENCE FICTION

DRESDEN FILES
I had been hoping to see DRESDEN FILES in the fall line-up over at
SciFi, but no such luck. This wonderful show has been canceled. In an
age of so few quality programs to choose from, I am sad to see this
one go by the wayside. The stories were well written; the acting was
right on the money. I hope that SciFi will bring it back for a second
run-through, so that more people can enjoy this wonderful series. The
books from Jim Butcher seem to be doing well in the bookstores -- too
bad SciFi pulled the plug on this one.

NEW SHOWS TO WATCH THIS COMING SEASON

NEW AMSTERDAM
Premiere Date: January 2008
New York City homicide detective John Amsterdam is cursed with
immortality because he stopped the murder of a Native Indian girl in
1642 by stepping in front of a sword. Due to this act of kindness, the
Indian girl rescued Amsterdam from the stab wound by making him
immortal, but warns that it is a curse that will only be lifted when
John meets his true love. Now, Amsterdam is a homicide in the Big
Apple where he shares his secret with Omar, a blues club owner with a
few secrets of his own. John is partnered up with Eva Marquez and gets
into a chase with a suspect. When he suffers what appears to be a
heart attack and is revived by ER doctor Sara Dillane, he realizes
that mortality may be closer then he thought. New Amsterdam is
produced by Laha Films, Regency Television, Sarabande Productions and
Scarlet Fire Productions. FOX originally planned to premiere it in
September '07; however, it will now be a midseason replacement....

K-VILLE
Premiere Date: September 17, 2007
It's been two years since Hurricane Katrina ravaged New Orleans and a
select few still remain at the NOPD. These special cops are bound and
determined to bring back the life to New Orleans, otherwise known to
most as K-Ville (Katrinaville), and clean up the crime and damage that
still remains.
Marlin Boulet, a veteran of the NOPD's Felony Action Squad, was left
stranded in the waters by his partner, but still attempted to keep
some little bit of order to all the chaos that was going on during the
hurricane. He now has a new partner with ulterior motives, Trevor
Cobb, who is fresh back from a tour of duty in Afghanistan. Together
the two work the streets of New Orleans, trying to make it a better
place. Helping them on their crusade are fellow officers Jeff Gooden,
Captain James Embry, Billy Faust, and the lone female officer, Ginger
LeBeau.
K-Ville was shot on location in New Orleans. Jonathan Lisco, the
series writer and executive producer, toured parts of New Orleans with
actual New Orleans Police Officers before writing the pilot in hopes
of making the series as real as possible.

JOURNEYMAN
Premiere Date: September 24, 2007
Kevin McKidd (Rome) stars as Dan Vassar in this new series from NBC
set to air in the fall of 2007. Dan is happily married with a son. It
seems like he has everything going for him. Dan ends up traveling into
the past. He changes people's lives, sometimes for the better, but
sometimes not. During his travels he meets up with Livia Beale, he was
engaged to her when she died in a plane crash. Knowing the future he
has a chance to save her but how will that change his own future?

PUSHING DAISIES
Premiere Date: October 3, 2007
This romantic drama shows us the strange world of a man, Ned, who can
bring dead people back to life through the power of his touch. The
people he touches, however, can only stay alive for one minute, and if
they don't die again, someone else nearby will die. Ned decides to use
his ability to solve crime. He and a local investigator, Emerson,
bring murder victims back to life and find out who killed them, to
cash in on case-solving rewards. But, when Ned brings an old crush
back to life, and decides to let her live, things start to get
complicated...
The show is created by Bryan Fuller, who has brought us sci-fi series
such as Wonderfalls and Dead Like Me. The series is said to share some
aspects of Fuller's previous shows, with quick witted comedy mixed
with darker emotions and drama. The main plot about life and death is
also akin to Dead Like Me.
The show is still in pre-production, and will, if it is picked up, air
on ABC. Lee Pace will star as Ned and Chi McBride as his colleague
Emerson. Anna Friel will star as Charlotte "Chuck" Charles, Kristin
Chenoweth as Olive, Swoosie Kurtz as Lily and Ellen Green as a, so
far, unnamed character. The cast will be joined by Jim Dale as the
narrator. Lee Pace has previously worked with creator Bryan Fuller on
Wonderfalls.

BIONIC WOMAN
Premiere Date: September 26, 2007
Jaime Wells Sommers is nothing but a hard-working woman juggling work
as a bartender, the responsibility for the care of her younger sister,
Becca, and her relationship with her boyfriend, Will. Although she
does not have much, Jaime has always enjoyed being as normal as any
other human being. However, this all changes when she is hit by a car
and seriously injured. Her only hope becomes an experimental and top
secret procedure, but, as Jaime soon discovers, this salvation comes
at a high price.
Bionic Woman is produced by David Eick Productions in association with
GEP Productions and NBC Universal Television Studio.

WOMEN'S MURDER CLUB
Premiere Date: October 12, 2007
A series of mystery books by James Patterson was the inspiration for
this new series, which tells the story of four women who work together
to solve some of the most confounding murder cases out there. Their
jobs as a homicide detective (Lt. Lindsay Boxer), a medical examiner
(Claire Washburn), a newspaper reporter (Cindy Thomas), and an
assistant district attorney (Jill Bernhardt) give them a formidable
range of skills, and their strong friendship provides the basis for
the teamwork that's necessary to crack each case.
Women's Murder Club is a blend of Sex And The City, CSI and Law And Order.
Women's Murder Club is produced by 20th Century FOX Television and Rat
Entertainment and distributed by ABC Television Network. The series
has been given a 13 episode initial order by the network.

MOONLIGHT
Premiere Date: September 28, 2007
Moonlight follows Mick St. John, an immortal vampire and private
investigator and his struggle to exist after he was bitten 60 years
ago by his vampire bride on their wedding night. It also follows his
internal torment as he falls in love with one he should not, one who
is mortal named Beth, a news reporter, as well as his dealings with
the woman who made him a vampire, his sire Coraline.
The show is produced by Warner Bros. Television and Silver Pictures.
Joel Silver is executive producing with Trevor Munson and Ron Koslow
both writing and executive producing.

with Charlie Pattinson and George Faber executive producing alongside
Michael Rauch.
