playing game. Here is a description:
This exciting roleplaying game details the characters and rich
background from the 35-hour saga. The Jeremiah roleplaying game
includes all the rules and background information needed to play in
this gritty, post-apocalyptic world. Taking advantage of the Open
Gaming License from Wizards of the Coast, the rules and mechanics of
the Jeremiah Roleplaying Game should be easily recognized by anyone
familiar with the most popular roleplaying game in the world.

ASTEROID DOUGLASADAMS:
Late author of the classic SF HITCHHIKER'S GUIDE TO THE GALAXY,
Douglas Adams, was honored by the International Astronomical Union's
Minor Planet Center with an asteroid bearing his name. MSNBC.com
reported Asteroid Douglasadams was among the 71 newly named
celestial objects announced on Jan. 25 in Cambridge, Mass. The
asteroid was chosen because of its original name, 2001 DA42, which
references the year Adams passed away, his initials and the number
42, which, as fans of the author know, is the answer to "life, the
universe and everything" according to the Hitchhiker stories.

NEW DVDS:
THE GREATEST AMERICAN HERO, the 1980s superhero show, is coming to
DVD on Feb. 15 in a three-disc DVD set that includes the original
two-hour pilot, a spinoff pilot and new interviews with the cast and
crew. This is the first season of the series. More to come.

ALIEN VS. PREDATOR:
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Fox's ALIEN VS. PREDATOR
performed well on its first day in stores. The showdown flick ALIEN
VS. PREDATOR sold about 1.85 million combined DVD and VHS units
Tuesday, its first day on store shelves, according to executives at
20th Century Fox Home Entertainment. While that figure doesn't set
any home video industry records, it does mean that "AVP," starring
Sanaa Lathan and Lance Henriksen, nearly matched its opening-weekend
domestic boxoffice take of $38.3 million during its first 24 hours
on retail shelves.

THE FAST AND FURIOUS star Paul Walker has landed the leading role in
ANTARCTICA for Walt Disney Pictures. The film's story follows two
arctic explorers who set out to locate and retrieve a meteorite from
a remote part of the icy wasteland. Midway through their journey the
pair have to give up their quest and head back, faced with no choice
but to leave their sled dogs behind. Walker's character is a
National Geographic reporter that, with the help of a rescue party,
leads the way back to recover the pooches. The film is based on a
true story. Frank Marshall is directing from a script by David
DiGilio and Mike Rich.

SUPERMAN:
The Kent Farm is under construction for Bryan Singer's SUPERMAN
film. A property near Breeza is being transformed into the Kansas

with construction underway of a complete Kent farm replica, 45km
from Tamworth.

BLOOD AND CHOCOLATE:
According to the Hollywood Reporter, German helmer Katja von Garnier
is in negotiations to direct MGM's upcoming werewolf flick, BLOOD
AND CHOCOLATE. Von Garnier, who directed the 1997 hit "Bandits,"
comes to the project after Rupert Wainwright dropped out in December
to direct Revolution Studios' remake of John Carpenter's classic
horror film, "The Fog." Based on a script by Ehren Kruger, the
feature is based on the book by Annette Curtis Klause and is set in
a secret society of werewolves living in a modern day society. At
the center of the tale is a romance between a female werewolf and a
human. Von Garnier first made her mark with the German
language "Making Up!" in 1993. Last year she directed HBO's TV
movie "Iron Jawed Angels."

The Hollywood Reporter reports that animation director Andy Jones
has joined Sony Pictures Imageworks where he will work on SUPERMAN.

animation on 20th Century Fox's I, ROBOT, Jones joined Imageworks
for the opportunity to oversee 100 shots of a computer animated
digital double of SUPERMAN on Warner Bros. Pictures' upcoming
SUPERMAN RETURNS. Jones joins Imageworks' team of animation
directors and supervisors that includes David Schaub, Spencer Cook,
Sean Mullen, Troy Saliba, Pepe Valencia, and Todd Wilderman. Jones
directed "The Final Flight of the Osiris" episode from "The
Animatrix" series.

Robin Williams will star in a comic fantasy feature based on the
preschool book THE KRAZEES, The Hollywood Reporter. Set up at
Paramount Pictures and Nick Movies, the project reunites teams from
Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events. The book follows a
young girl who encounters mischievous polka-dotted creatures known
as krazees who show up on gloomy, gray days and vanish when the sun
comes out. HR says that Williams will play the newly created role of
a repressed psychologist unable to deal with his daughter hitting
puberty and whose emotions manifest as computer-animated characters.
As they wreak havoc on his life, the psychologist is forced to team
up with the only other person who can see them and the one person
with whom his relationship is most strained: his daughter. Williams
also will lend his voice to the creatures. The book was written by
Sam Swope and illustrated by Eric Brace.

RACING THE MONSOON
From location in Mumbai, Michael Douglas said Monday that he will co-
produce and appear in RACING THE MONSOON, set to be shot entirely in
India. The Hollywood Reporter indicates that Douglas is there on a
scouting expedition for the adventure film, slated to begin
production early next year. Douglas also said the project will be

directed by Steve Carr (Daddy Day Care, Dr. Doolittle 2) and co-
produced by Douglas' Further Films (One Night at McCool's) with
leading Indian entertainment companies Sahara One Entertainment and
Percept Pictures. RACING THE MONSOON is in the same vein
as 'Romancing the Stone' and 'Jewel of the Nile,' Douglas
said, "Right now, we are developing the screenplay and hope to begin
production in early 2006." Douglas said he was in talks with actress
Aishwarya Rai (Bride & Prejudice) for the female lead and that the

version of Firefly, SERENITY, Serenity, will have treats for the
devoted fans. "If you loved Firefly, then you will love this movie,"
Minear said in an interview while promoting his upcoming CBS series,
THE INSIDE. "Fans are certainly not going to sit there and be bored
while they learn about these people. They won't." Minear said that
he is particularly impressed by the new developments in the
character of River, played by Summer Glau, who is revealed to be
extraordinarily skilled at martial arts. "She's amazing," he
said. "And the way Joss shot it, you can tell it's her—long,
continuous takes, the camera moving around a certain fight. And it's
Summer. It's her." SERENITY opens in theaters Sept. 30.
