He also saved Ultraman's bacon in the last episode, though he doesn't
fight at all.

In his own movie, the only new thing Zoffy does besides talk is use
his most powerful weapon on a hapless UFO. (:

The Double-team with Ace in episode #5 of that series is pretty cool.

She's a singer on several songs from Kamen Rider Stronger, not composer.
I wonder if that date came from InternetMovie database which has a
"composer" section but not singer section and people tend to put
singers in it too.

Here's some songs I know she recorded:

1975 Himitsu Sentai Gorenjaa (Secret Taskforce Goranger)

Go! Goranger (w/Isao Sasaki and The Columbia Cradle Club) - opening theme
Flowery Pink Ranger
Goranger Picture Painting Song
Goranger Storm (w/Isao Sasaki & Koorogi '73)
Mysterious Green Ranger (w/Isao Sasaki & The Columbia Cradle Club)

1975 Kamen Rider Stronger

Fight! Seven Riders (w/Mizuki Ichiro)
Kabutoroh Boogie (w/Mizuki Ichiro & The Columbia Cradle Club)
My "S" Mark Shines On My Chest (w/The Columbia Cradle Club)
Stronger Action (w/Mizuki Ichiro) - ending theme 31-39
Stronger Counting Song (w/Mizuki Ichiro)
Stronger Picture Painting Song
There Go On! Dear Tackle (w/The Columbia Cradle Club)
And Also For Today, Fight On Stronger (w/Shimon Masato) - ending theme
episodes 1 & 2
And Also For Today, Fight On Stronger (w/Mizuki Ichiro) - ending theme
episodes 3-30

1976 Ninja Kyaputer

Fight Ninja Captor (w/Mizuki Ichiro & Koorogi '73) - opening theme
Go Captor Machine (w/Mizuki Ichiro & Koorogi '73)
Captor Of The Sky (w/Mizuki Ichiro & Koorogi '73) - ending theme

I just checked my files. The date I have for her birthday is March 8,
1957.

I'd love to ask her, but I don't think the chances of my ever meeting
her are very good. That I don't know the Japanese words or even if
asking such a question would be considered rude or not.

I'll still be asleep for the first and getting ready for church during
the second. I'll probably tape it just like I used to tape Andromeda
when it ran Sunday mornings here (it's now Saturday at 9pm).

On another topic. The shoreleave Enterprise episode was apparently the
one just before the season finale. So the second season should be
starting soon. I do want to see how they undo the disaster though what
I'm really curious about is who caused it.

Here's are brief descriptions of some of the books in the "Chronicle"
series, for anyone who might consider buything them. The book titles
are on the covers in Japanese and English.

"Kikaida Chronicle" (the publisher mispells it Kikaider, they can't
spell ranger either, see below)

240 pages pages, most with black and white photos or drawings, there
are 8 color pages which includes the "Back of the Dark and the
Shadow", rear views of Dark Androids, 11 Dark monsters, Zadam and 1
Shadow monster. The text is of course mostly Japanese. Appears to
include program guides and interviews. The book covers Jinzo Ningen
Kikaida, Kikaida-01, both live and anime versions. There is even a
small section on Kikaida in Hawaii. The Kikaida Tribute book has more
color photos (18 pages).

"Masked Rider V3 Chronicle"
224 pages, 8 with color photos. The color photos include back side
views of "Doctor G", "Tusk Baron" (how the book names them) and 22
Destron monsters. Text is again mostly Japanese but appears to be
program guides and interviews.

"Secretforce Gorenger Chronicle"
224 pages, 8 with color photos of Goranger merchandize, Japanese text
seems to be monster guide and interviews

"Kaiketsu Zubat Chronicle"
192 pages, 7 with color pictures, again text looks like program guide
and interviews

If you decide to buy them DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT, use ebay. The books
are over priced there. Instead try http://hlj.htm even with shipping
the books will be a lot cheaper. Note I did have to wait a couple
weeks for the books to be in stock again. And they were held up by a
random inspection by customs once they arrived in the US, in Alaska,
but I'd be very unhappy if I paid $40-50 each for them which is what
they're likely to start on ebay instead of only a little disappointed
that they were not more color photos. The "Back of" is an interesting
idea with some monsters, like the bazooka turtle monster from Kamen
Rider V3 it even makes sense.

[If anyone wonders, I got burnt out on computer adventure games,
playing too many in too short a time, plus its hard to go from the
modern sound and grahics of Monkey Island 4 back to 1980s low
resultion graphics and no sound card support of Kings Quest 1-4, so
I'm taking a break.]

"Kiba" can mean both "Fang" or "Tusk" so it's up to the individual
really. I like "Baron Fang" myself, but "Baron Tusk" is certainly
okay. "Tusk Baron" is pretty much what you get when you directly
translate "Kiba Danshaku". In some cases, I actually like to keep the
word order kind of funny; I like the sound of "Black Shogun"
and "Hell Ambassador" over "Shogun Black" or "Ambassador Hell". But
again, it's a matter of personal preference.

There is plenty of good info in the book if you can read Japanese.
Lots of interviews with the cast & crew (especially voice actors for
the monsters) and a lot of comprehensive info on V3 powers, Destron
weapons, guest stars, and the comics that went along with the show.

That was done mostly to add a humorous touch, but also since there
have been pictures of the kaijins' backs all the way "back" in early
TV Magazine articles, and those are considered "rare" photos by some
since usually we only get pictures from the front. :)

I bought one other book with the Chronicles, "Toei Heroines Photo Book
[Red]". I got the title from Hobby Links Japan, only English word on
the book cover is "RED".

The page aren't numbered and I'm too lazy to count them but every page
has 1 or more color photos (some photos take up an entire page). The
book covers female characters from 1975 through 1995 series. I wish
they had started 2 years sooner with photos of Shihomi, Etsuko as Mari
in Kikaida-01. The first 9 photos (not counting the cover) are of
"Peggy Matsuyama", the Pink Ranger from Goranger. The last 3 photos
are I think from one of those heroine shows. There are characters
from sentai, metal hero and other series. Despite the title not all
the women are fighting on the side of justice, some are evil
characters, such as the two women who work for Neross in Choujinki
Metalder. Most of the photos show the women in normal clothes though
there are some in costume photos, Miss America from Battle Fever J for
example (which means the woman who played Peggy Matsuyama in Goranger
actually had 11 photos since she was stunt woman for Miss America) and
a handful of bathing suit shots. There are a few men shown with some
of the women. For example "Shinmei, Akira" (the Blue Ranger) appears
in one photo with Peggy and "Jou Shigeru" (Kamen Rider Stronger)
appears with "Misaki Yuriko" (Electric Wave Human Tackle).

There is a second book wich is "BLUE" but HLJ was out of stock, so I
don't know what it covers. Igadevil, you know? I bought the Red
book because it has Goranger and JAKQ heroiens on the cover along with
3 women I don't recognize but two are probably sentai since they are
wearing bracelets.

I just noticed the back cover photo is a third shot of Miss America,
somebody must really like that character.

I have now heard through someone who translated the credits
that "Peggy" did play Miss America for some of Battle Fever J, but
the last set of credits have different characters for the actress.
Since there are two Miss Americas, this sort of makes sense. She
might have been legit injured and another stunt woman took her place
for the rest of the filming.
Guess we won't know until we can ask her!

Never heard of those two books. I have a book called "The Super
Heroine Chronicles: The History of Japanese Super Heroine & Actress,
1967~1997" (different "Chronicle" series than the ones you bought,
these have covers with a montage of different photos, all done in one
color. There are also books in this series covering all Super Heroes,
Kamen Rider, Daiei films, Toho Films, Anime Heroines, Gundam, and
numerous others.)

The book covers the major female characters from all sorts of
Tokusatsu series. For Kikaida is has Mitsuko, as well as the "Woman
Androidman" (which I guess should be "Androidwoman") androids and
even the "Violet Turban Shell" monster (which is strange since the
book does not go into too much abotu the female monsters-of-the-week)
For Kikaida-01 there are several Mari/Bijinda pictures, as well as
Rieko and Misao. It'd be nice if they did a revised version that
covers the female characters up to now.
