Well thanks. Yeah, i'm really looking forward to seeing the show. I
like the Ultraman Tiga series and hope that none of anyone's fears
about the show coming to america are realised. Hopefully, it will be
a hit. The only thing I can really see bringing the show down is if
people mistakenly think it's a Power Rangers ripoff. Which makes me
fear that a lot of people won't even the show a chance even. I can
hear it now! "Isn't that some new Power Rangers type show or
something." High likely since most of the US aren't familar with
Japanese sci-fi shows at all. Hopefully, we're all wrong and Tiga
becomes a hit and a whole new generation of Ultrafans will be born.
Let's keep our fingers crossed. --Ken

Kids should like it, and with the 'net, you can find all kinds of
info on Ultraman and pals, and any writer with any sense should be
able to do that. Of course, they may say something stupid
like "Power Rangers inspired".

Well, I watched the Fox Kids special, and while it was just as bad as
the ones I used to watch in the 70s, it was kind of fun. Those kids
are sure annoying!
Anyway, Ultraman Tiga looks... OK. The jokes are truly lame, and yet
still funnier than any of the "humor" the first three seasons of
Power Rangers had. The rap song is not truly awful, but the other
theme is OK.
I look forward to it.

Wouldn't it be better English to say "laughs ominously"? I reckon if
the new subs use proper English and similiar titles it would say
that. Just sounds better.
Cool episode, though

kewalaka_1

Speaking of translations, I'm, still looking for people who are
willing and able to translate song titles from Skyrider CD or, Kamen
Rider Super-1/ZX CD, and/or episode titles from Goranger, JAKQ, Battle
Fever J, Kamen Rider Stronger, Henshin Ninja Arashi or Barom-1. I'd
also like song lyrics translated but I know those are more difficult
because they're longer and they tend to include character names people
not familair with the shows might not be able to translate. I have
songs from Kamen Rider through Kamen Rider ZX, Goranger, Kikaida,
Kikaida-01, Zubat (only tv sized, ie short, opening and ending of
Zubat), Diamond Eye, Condorman, Denjin Zaboga and Meteor Man Zone (aka
Zone Fighter).

I can scan song titles/episode titles/song lyrics into just about any
graphic file format you could want. The info would come from CDs or books.

Anyone able to login to PayPal today? Earlier I got an error page, too

Makes me wonder if their server is under attack by one of those jerks

kewalaka_1

Anybody watched this 12 episode series? I've seen about half of it so
far.

For those who haven't seen any of it, there are 3 Ultras in it. Zoffy,
Ultraman Neos and Ultraseven 2-1. Zoffy appears at the beginning to
send Neos and 2-1 to Earth. Since I haven't seen the last episode I
don't know if Zoffy appears at the end, but so far he leaves the
fighiting to Neos and 2-1. 2-1 does not appear in every episode nor
does he fight in every episode he is in. Sometimes he's just there as
advisor.

Ultraman Neos takes after the original Ultraman. Looks like him and
like him merges with a human to exist on earth. Outside the human body
he can exist only for a few minutes.

Ultraseven 2-1 like Ultraseven creates his own human form, but unlike
the original Ultraseven he does not pick a single form but appears as
different people in each of his episodes. I think its fun to try to
figure out which person is really Ultraseven 2-1 in diguise. He only
goes into combat if Neos is in danger of losing. His human forms do
not seem to have the mask the original Ultraseven had though his eyes
glow as he transforms. I almost forgot, he can be Ultraseven 2-1 form
but human sized, unlike Neos who's always a giant.

I have seen the entire series. Nice to see one that connects to the
older ones. And it'a great to see Zoffy again. I have met the
American guy who plays 7-21, Robert Scott Field- he was the android
in GODZILLA VS KING GHIDORAH.

I didn't know 2-1 was an American guy. How did that happen?

When I finish with Neos I have the first 4 episodes of Cosmos. I also
have the Ultraseven 90s movies, which I'll get around to watching
someday as well. What I'd really like is to get a hold of are Ultraman
Leo episodes 27-49 and Ultraseven episode 20, somehow when I was
trading for Ultraseven I missed that episode.

I saw the whole series. They were okay, but not very high on my list,
although the last two episodes were pretty cool. I think part of the
problem is a lot of the ideas that were "original" for the proposed
Neos TV series back in '95 or so were used in the Ultraman Tiga,
Ultraman Dyna, and Ultraman Gaia TV series (names of certain things,
idea of having a female captain, the 2-Ultraman idea) so that when
Neos was finally made, it felt kind of dry, and Ultraseven 2-1
doesn't really help sometimes (though at others he saves Neos
bigtime.) I do like the newer sped-up version of the theme song
though, because the old one is really, really long!

The Ultraseven movies just get progressively more confusing and
complex; the new "Ultraseven: Evolution" series pretty much has me in
the dark as to what's going on, even with being able to understand
most of the diologue, though their still pretty cool.

Zoffy has some good fights in both Ultraman Ace and Ultraman Taro (he

He also saved Ultraman's bacon in the last episode, though he doesn't
fight at all.

In his own movie, the only new thing Zoffy does besides talk is use
his most powerful weapon on a hapless UFO. (:

The Double-team with Ace in episode #5 of that series is pretty cool.
