Question:
I would ALWAYS respond back to my favorite Seattle WEather man.
I remember watching you up here in WA STATE..So proud to see that you
are
on the national scene..
Actually,I was going to ask a Tropical Storm/Hurricane question since
it is
that season already..
I was wondering (though as much as I watch,I feel stupid for asking
since I
watch all the time...
I know the water has to be warm enough for it to be favorable
conditions
for a system to strengthen, out of curiousity, has there been any
systems
that went from TS Staus to say a cat 3 or 4 in a shot manner of time.
(say
within 24 hours).
Also,I saw on the TWC MESSAGE BOARD That there is speculation that
Jen is
pregnant...Is she?I still can't really tell.
Malia,
I do remember that last year Katrina went from a Category 2 to a 5 in
only
12 hours, but I can't think of any specifically that went from a TS
to a 3
or 4 that quickly. There may be others. It is certainly possible,
especially in the warm waters of the Gulf.
Yes, it is true, Jen is pregnant, breaking the drought of pregnant on-
air
meteorolgists. We went quite a while without any!
Thanks for the kind words and say hello to the folks in my favorite
state!
