The 88-89 series is out on DVD and now that I understand the show it is
very well written. What's weak of the series it was very low budget and
we never saw the Martian "Aliens" true form and design. The DVD's were
unfortunately cheaply produced and seem to be edited. The introduction
precall had the CGI Alien hand covering the Earth and a audio of the
episode, those scenes are edited out and there are no menus or special
features that focuses on the show. Well something is better then
nothing. If we are lucky we may get season two on DVD as well. What
sucks about season 2 is they move away from the George Pal's Martian
and focus on a totally different aliens the Morthrens (yarn). Malzor
and Mana are totally unconvincing as a formidable threat. Non of the
Morthren's plans ever work and finally they are as stupid as the humans
that knows nothing of the invasion. Finally they kill off two important
characters in the series. It seems that the creator of the series
wanted to squeeze in a new format trying to renew a second season of
the show. Then again, the 2nd season did end with a resolution of all
the invasion. As the Mortexians, Martians or Aliens say "To Life in
Mortal".
