No, this is not a joke (at least not on my part), and it is not simply
a rumour. It's been confirmed that Paramount have finally come to
their senses (or have better braintrusts in charge), and will indeed
release our beloved TV series onto DVD.

The first season will be released November 1st. Nothing on Season 2 or
anything concerning features. Hopefully, we won't get cheated. At the
least, it should beat our poor quality VCDs and VHS tapes, and we can
now redirect newcomers beyond the second-rate resources we had to go
through.

I pre-ordered it and the re-release of the 1953 film as soon as I
heard about this. I'm tempted to save up money just to buy a back-
up/preserved set to go along with it.
