I wonder if any clue(s) can be gleaned from the episode "Many Happy
Returns" in the scene where Number 6 is going through the General
Store for items he needs for his raft. He has the courtesy to write
out an IOU for the amount of credits he "spends" in looted items. Did
he expect to come back at some point? Did the authorities ever collect
on his credit expenditure?
