NET counting leaders   Message List

I watched the Youtube video of the 3rd episode and saw an NET counting leader
that went "8
7 SIX 5 4 3 2" and ended with a white circle flashing on the screen. When I saw
the opening of
#1086 tonight, it started with the same circle, but no countdown. The countdown
on show #3
was B&W, so I am wondering if any of you know if a color version was used for
the 1969-70
programs? If so, did it spell out the word "SIX"?

I am also wondering what the source of the show #3 tape was. It looked like a
studio copy,
since those usually have countdowns. Have any of you seen #1001 at the Museum of
Television and Radio in New York? If so, did that have a color counting leader?
