Yes, it's especially ironic this year, given that Fred's birthday
falls on a Friday (for the first time since 1998). Although, they
are airing an opera (Granddad for Daniel) that day (although that
opera will also air Oct. 31, so it's one of many repeated weeks), and
they often do air operas that week in years that Secrets are
skipped. This is the first time I've seen Secrets skipped 2 years in
a row, it normally always airs in odd numbered years.

3 out of the 4 post-75 operas are airing:
Bubbleland: May 29
Granddad for Daniel: Oct. 31 and Mar. 20 (Halloween and Fred's
Birthday)
A Star for Kitty: Dec. 19

That would be an interesting idea, and the operas don't have any of
the "outdated" material that they worry about with the pre-79s. 1370
and 1425 for sure could air, since they have blue walls and the Good
Feeling song.
