I've tried, just another sob story. I've probably got the wrong post code!
Everything else is a post code lottery. I have the same email I had sent the
last time I got in touch with them, but still no DVD, awkward contrary buggers
that they are!

Okay Louise, I see your point, but it's still bloody annoying! If they WANTED
to let us know there was a problem, then why the hell DIDN'T they?! Sounds to
me like a sob story to make us feel sorry for them. Let's just wait and see.
The estimated dispatch date is now 18th to the 28th of February for mine. They
sent me the same email twice, so they could have told me there was a problem
once! Wanting to inform customers is one thing, but not doing it and bleating
that they wanted to do so? Nah, I don't buy it!

I sent Amazon an email late on Sunday night, received a reply by
6:30am, where they claimed the delay was due to a technical fault. They
upgraded my postage and I received the DVD on Tuesday :)

So anyone who hasn't got their DVD yet, email Amazon, you will
hopefully receive the DVD within 48 hours of receiving a reply!

Hi Matt, I've just been on to Amazon, and sent them this:

Thank you for finally ammending the estimated dispatch date for my
merchandise. I have a rather pressing question in elation to your response to
my previous question. If you were aware - and you must have been - that the
product was not in stock, why did you state that the original dispatch date
would be in a time scale that you were unable to send me my DVD's? Would this
not be a breach of Trading Standards? I ask this, not only because you stated a
dispatch date where you possibly knew that you would not be able to deliver the
goods, but failed to inform me of any problem until I contacted you about it,
and have, to my knowledge only just ammened the expected dispatch date. I
understand I am not the only customer having this problem, a gentleman of the
name Matt in Luton, Bedfordshire for example? Myself and this gentleman have
both been treated poorly, and are both somewhat dismayed with this. What are
you going to do in an effort to appease us for the
unnecessary frustration and inconvenience that you have caused us, and however
many other customers that have ordered this particular product from you?
   Hayley Barber
! hope it works! I did infact mention your name and location, I hope this is
okay. With some luck the more disgruntled customers that get onto them the
better. I have only given them what I know about you, that being your name and
where you are. It is very annoying, but after this they might attempt to
wriggle into our good books.

   Good luck

   Hayley

Hi Gem,
I have a bit more information that could come in useful. It still makes me
wonder, if they knew that they didn't have the product in stock, why didn't they
get back to us immediately, rather than wait until someone contacted them to ask
what was going on, then say "We wanted to...?!"

Any way, here's the email that I received:

I usually use Play.com, but had an Amazon voucher to use. I have
ordered lots of products from Amazon before and have never experienced
a delay like this. I have always received pre-ordered DVD's on time.
Unless there was a problem with the deliveries of the DVD's from the
suppliers or too many people ordered the DVD's and they didn't have
enough of them to dispatch.

You and me both! I am going to email them to ask them what the hold up is. I
should have received my copy between last saturday and about yesterday. If it
hasn't been dispatched yet, I'm going to email them to ask them what they are
playing at. Last time they claimed they hadn't received the money, and it has
to go through all these channels. Sounds to me as though they just aren't
organized. Someone else used play.com and got the merchandise pretty quick. I
think that could be the best way of getting goods in the time scale they say it
will arrive.

Hi, James. Thanks for the info on Bravo. :) I had no idea.

I do have a muti-region DVD player, and tons of UK, Australian and European
DVDs. :)

As another American fan, I can tell you the first six series aired on
Bravo for a while. Alas, no more. Luckily there are ways to make UK
(region 2) DVDs play here. (Google for details.)

I'm eagerly awaiting the release of Series 7 and above so I can
finally see them.

Hi. I'm new here. I'm ashamed to admit I've never watched the series, though
it looks like my kind of show. I live in the US, and as far as I know it's
never aired here.

The reason I joined was to find out if any of you loyal fans had a keen enough
eye to know which episode Jason Hughes (This Life, Midsomer Murders) appeared
in. It's not listed in IMDB, but several bios I've read about him say that he
was on LB and The Bill. Once I find out, I'll keep an eye out for the DVDs to
see if I can get the episode at some point. :)

Any help would be appreciated. :) And I'd also love to hear about LB. I like
UK dramas, so I'm sure this one might be right up my alley. :)

Thanks and apologies to anyone who might think I'm crashing the list.

BR,
Monica

Just thought I'd ask!!! I wish I hadn't sold series four of it, I needed the
money to go and watch a hockey game though. Thankfully my team won Can't wait
til my copy lands, I've read the book, Blue Watch Blues that had a large
influence from seriese 6, so I'm pretty damn sure it's going to be fun. Wasn't
this one the one with the amorous couple getting trapped in a car, with some
really terrible one liners in?

Alright for some! I'll get mine about Saturday and will have the second week of
my annual Leave to watch it. How much was it off Play.com? They should have
receioved the cheque for it today or tomorrow as I mailed it first class on
Monday.
I trust it's worth the wait?
