These rights issues seem odd.
BBC Scotland were able to have a starting tune by the Cuban Boys, and John
Williams Productions were able to put it on their releases of the DVDs.
Then the BBC decided to show it UK wide and have Take2 release it on DVD.
Suddenly they have to find new title music! and despite that in Scotland it
was still broadcast with the Cuban boys mix!?
Hadn't even spotted Series 11 being available.

Hi all
I have just an email from Amazon, canceling my order for Series 11.
I phoned Network DVD to see what they had to say and all they would say is this
that it is a rights issue with it at the moment in time. They do not know when
it will be released.
I am guessing this is bound to be a piece of music overheard on a radio or
something similar.
For anyone who tried to visit my London's Burning web site
(http://www.londons-burning.co.uk or http://www.londonsburning.co.uk)-
it has been down for the majority of this month due to bandwidth issues
as it was receiving a lot of visits.
I have not rectified this issue by purchasing more bandwidth, so
hopefully the web site will experience no downtime in the forseeable
future.
finaly somthing good to watch on day time tv lol

Hello. New member here.
Im sure you all know by now that is being shown on DMAX daily at 12pm,
8pm, 2am. The 12pm showing is of the previous episode from the night
before.
If by the chance you don't know about this yet, DMAX is on Channel 144
on SKY (197 Virgin), DMAX +1 is on 145 and DMAX +2 is on 155.
Apologies I don't know if the timeshift channels are on Virgin.
Series 14 will start after this. Season 13 then starts repeating from
the 7th July.

FWIW, my Series 7 arrived here in the US promptly from Amazon UK. Now
Series 6 was another story. . .
Any word on Series 8? We never got beyond Series 7 here, so I'm
eagerly awaiting the rest on DVD.

Any one know when to pre - order series 7? just thought I'd ask!

I'm guessing that it will probably be available to pre-order in a week
or two. Shouldn't be long now since it's a month until it's release!

I think the DVD's are ok. The only reason why 'London's Burning'
appears before an advert would have appeared and then after again is
probably because they couldn't physically remove it as it had
been 'burnt' in. We would have lost a bit of the story if it had been
removed.

Thanks Gem, sorry I didn't answer when I first read your reply, I was on my way
to hockey practice and using my phone. After I saw your email, I found I had
received not one but two emails from Amazon, firstly apologising, or asking for
an apology for their behaviour, and the second - which probably shocked my
friends - saying that the DVD had been dispatched. As yet I have not seen it,
but I have been out so it will probably be on the hall way table looking at me
when I get back home! It's rather funny how when we get in their faces they
come up with the goods. I'm not shopping with amazon again, not after this,
even paying overe the odds has got to be better than being messed around by an
internet shopping company.
Let's just hope it really is worth the wait and hassle now

Send Amazon an email zambinibr, they will then realise the mistake with
your order and send you the DVD. I did about 2 weeks ago and received
my DVD within 48 hours of sending the email.

That looks to be my only option now, unless I go to play.com. I got
another email yesterday saying there was another problem with my order,
another delay. I wouldn't mind but I pre-ordered it before it even got
released, and sent them the money on the release date. It seems all
they do is mess a random customer about, this time it's me! I've lost

Okay, I've narrowed it down to Series 8 where Jason Hughes might have
appeared in a guest role. I'd like to request ONE of the following
for anyone who'd be interested:
1. Can someone take a glance at the guest cast listing of those
episodes and confirm for me if Jason Hughes appeared in one of them
and which one?
Or
2. Would someone be willing to send me tapes or DVD copies of series
8 episodes?
Thanks,
Monica
I have just read a reply from them claiming that they MAY have contacted me to
tell me that there was a problem. I didn't get it. They have however changed
the dispatch date to 13/2 to 19/2. I will wait with anticipation! It is still
very annoying, though at least they won't take my money until they have
dispatched the merchandise. After all the hassle, why the hell should they have
my money? What a load of hassle just to get some DVD's, next time I'll but it
from HMV, at least I know I'll get it when I hope to get it, not when they
decide to dispatch it.

If you email them with a complaint they should hurry up with your
order.

Okay Louise, I see your point, but it's still bloody annoying! If they WANTED
to let us know there was a problem, then why the hell DIDN'T they?! Sounds to
me like a sob story to make us feel sorry for them. Let's just wait and see.
The estimated dispatch date is now 18th to the 28th of February for mine. They
sent me the same email twice, so they could have told me there was a problem
once! Wanting to inform customers is one thing, but not doing it and bleating
that they wanted to do so? Nah, I don't buy it!
