Our purpose is not to further divide an already divided fandom, but rather to stand in the middle.
Everyone over 18 is welcome, even if you prefer ship or slash.
A lot of fans like all genres. Several of our members are active writers and readers of all types of fics. But there seems to be a tendency for gen fans to lurk more often than not. So as an experiment, we're going to see if we can develop a comfortable place for Gen fans to share their thoughts and fan fiction, away from the politics of the ship versus slash debates.

The philosophy is similar to Tok'ra Flats. We love and respect the whole team - all seasons of it. Jack was not born to make Daniel's life a living hell. Daniel respects Jack. Sam and Teal'c are not trying to come between Jack and Daniel. Jonas was also a member of the team. No flames directed to the characters, actors, or list sibs.
I really can't stress the importance of the concept here enough.
This isn't about disliking ship or slash, but merely about preserving and enjoying Gen fic.
