Many thanks to Tired Old Lion, Wonga Spillage, Android 65 Mar, Spindle
Legs and George O. Wain for their work in scanning and uploading the
Dalek Book for others to enjoy.
I used to have some of the others when I was knee high to a
grasshopper (just a few weeks ago, . . .and yes some girls like Dr Who
too), and now I have been able to see this one as well. I particularly
like the artwork and inventiveness, both of which seem rarer these days.

Does anyone know where I might download scans of TV Comic #916 (Action
in Exile) through #936 (The Night Walkers)?
Those are the Troughton Doctor adventures - I'd love to read them! :-)
Thanks,
-James
Just finished downloading the last file, and I'm wondering, what
happened to page 6, and the back cover?
Also where can I find parts 1 to 4 of Children of the Reverlution?
many thanks,
ruby_6320
Hi to everyone. Only just read my emails, and discovered that I'd
been accepted thank you. Just had a quick look through, and I am very
pleased. Liked "The Children of the Revolution" story, only managed to
read the first part before. Any plans to do the other 8th Doctor Dalek
story.
thanks again, ruby_6320

Why, thank you for the plug! Always much appreciated by us simple folk
here at AV. :)
All being well, Curse of the Daleks (plus a mystery bonus disc) should
be available by December/January.
Once upon a time, some blokes got together and wasted days of their lives scanning a full set of British weeklies, only to find that at the end, some twit* decided it would be clever to try and sell these scans on ebay and make some money from other people's hard work. His listings didnt last long due to reporting him to ebay, but this act did kill another great project which was on the way. It also killed the original 4shared project which housed the scans. They were however still available on demonoid, up until the other day that is when that site packed up their bags, put on their hat and coat, jumped in a boat and pushed off..
So.. to try and keep these scans going far and wide to people who would like to see them, and appreciate them for what they are - classic British comics - another Savefile Project has been started. It will take a while for all 138 issues to be added, but I'm sure there's no rush really.
And once we're near the end there's always some TV Comic + Tv Action issues to add!
Pass this link or email along to other groups or sites that you may belong to please, and hopefully it should stay alive for the forceable..
For those not in the know, Countdown was a classic British weekly off-shoot from TV Comic, which eventually became TV Action. Famously it contained probably the best Dr Who strips of the earlier years with other Anderson strips and TV related offerings.
Just a quick hello to everyone who's joined recently - hello!
If you enjoy the annual, please don't forget to visit
http://alteredvistas.co.uk/ for some rather lovely productions based
on the comic strips. Oh and Curse of the Daleks (the 1965 stage play)
is still in production with some new screengrabs.
Hi everybody - as you'll see, I'm new to this site but had assumed that
it was possible to see a scanned version of the Dalek Book (1964)
somewhere about. Maybe I'm being stupid and if so, please tell me but I
can't find any way to get to it so far.
The reason I'm interested, is that I'm writing a third story in my New
Daleks series (see www.newdaleks.co.uk for existing e-books) and was
hoping to check up on some of the old Dalek terminology as described in
the Lexicon which, if I remember correctly, featured in this book.
Any pointers gratefully appreciated!
Alan

I've tried to bar this person but they don't come up with a proper
email address. I'll change the settings on the group to try and
prevent this in future.
Meanwhile...what d'you think of the latest Dalek story on the new
series? I think it was a cracker, but I'm sure someone will tell me otherwise!
And her message removed from the archives. All mention of her infamous
web site and the dubious temptations it offers will henceforth seize!
All messages will now be transmitted via the Group Owner, although if
any of you mere mortals out there aspires to be a moderator I'll be
only to glad to perform the requisite genetic manipulation.
All memberships to our illustrious listing will now go via Skaro for
approval by the Supreme Council.
That is all.

Man, if only that were for real. :-(
I would LOVE to meet a chick that was into Daleks!
Perhaps a Dalek Dating Club?

For those who may have no idea otherwise BBC7 is broadcasting an
original series of Paul McGann Docotor Who audios, produced by BIg
Finish. The first of these 'Blood of the Daleks' is due to be
broadcast on New Year's Eve at 6 p.m.
Dear DALEK'Bookies'
Thankyou for this splendid publication's return to the Fold(ers), it
was the third of these Specials that i got to "Conquer and Enjoy"
when i arrived in your universe (to commence my Dalek-data survey re
Your Planet - 2 years ago!!) due to the original site having
defuncted at the time.
Although i merely wanted a collection of 'official' Dalek strips &
stories for my Research Project, inevitably i was seduced by the
nostalgic silliness of it all and am now living in the intellectual
gutter of enjoying Dalek cigarette cards; slide-show scenes; archaic
newspaper appearances; & presently my 'Pusher' is Plungering me with
weetabix cut-out-&-stand-up gaming tokens! Help, help!! Once i was
an intellectually superior preInvasion DalekAgent-Robot with vast
mental* horizons - now i am a Dalek-media Fan!!!
[* or 'metal' ]
Aware, as i am, that i am here communicating with fellow
Daletraumatized beings it is of course necessary for me to point out
that i mean this in terms of how far i have Fallen, not Risen.
Having been living in aBasement it now beWhovians me to restore my
original Orbital Stasis in that Higher FrontEar and spend time
assimilating the vast amount of Daletactical-data i have
