"It's Good to Be King", Episode #813.
While attempting to warn a former adversary of an approaching threat,
the SG-1 team stumbles upon what may be an ancient time machine.
Original Airdate: February 4, 2005.
Tom McBeath appears as .... Harry 'King Arkhan The First' Maybourne
I've recently taped Tom McBeath in Supervolcano (playing a senior geologist) and
in Mysterious Ways (playing a man who claims to be from 1934).
Both are reasonably good parts and I particularly liked his acting in the
second.
The tape is in PAL format. Does anyone who missed the programmes want to borrow
the tape?

I finally got around to looking at this one - or trying to. To anyone without
broadband, it's in the total 'forget it' category. The top page needs breaking
down into a lot of smaller pages for many of us to be able to view it.
WAy too many big images. After ten minutes, you kind of lose interest in trying
to download it all while waiting for the bit you actually want to look at.

The three story gen. series, 'Another Fine Mess', is now up on Eos's
website. That's:
The Maybourne Identity
A Friend in Need
Fool Me Once
They all feature Harry and if you haven't already read them, go
read. If you have, then you'll know they're well worth re-reading.

Can anyone help?
I've got an American friend in Maryland who is starting to show an interest in
our favourite character. (I tempted her with fanfic and she likes the pictures
on the Cult web site). THe trouble is that she's never seen Stargate at all.
Has anyone converted to DVDs and got unwanted NTSC tapes around?
Or is anyone willing to make tape copies of DVDs for me?
IF you are, let me know what kind of costs I'm looking at. At least the exchange
rate is in my favour for once...

The easiest way is to leave it all at the defaults - then the user gets to
define the font size.

Why not settle for a few? There's at least 7 people on LJ who have 'Harry
Maybourne' listed as an interest.

Ergh. I'll have to see what's up with the site. I obsessively
cross-check it on different res/in different browsers, but sometimes
stylesheets go wonky. :)
> Is there a livejournal community for Maybourne?
Sadly, no! It'd be nice if there were, though. I love Livejournal and
spend entirely too much time logged in. If I knew that a lot of people
were interested in one, I'd create one in an instant.
> I love some of the Livejournal icons - would anyone mind if I used

Oh, sure. You're welcome to use anything on the site. :)

Chele,
Is there a livejournal community for Maybourne?
I love some of the Livejournal icons - would anyone mind if I used any of them?
(Always assuming I can figure out how to use them - I'm still very new to LJ and
struggle with all things PC dependent) (though some of the icons rely on text
that is too small to read on most screens, which is a shame)
I'm watervole on LJ
Judith
PS. I've got a couple of Harry/Jack stories that I had in zines that really
ought to go on the web somewhere.

I found that one, but the one I remember was more interesting. Maybe I read it
in a magazine some time. Who knows?

I'm not alone!!! Mind you, I don't know if my take on it will appeal to all.
There's a problem with all the site in that you've overridden the defaults on
font size and it's all coming up a couple of sizes smaller than I find easy to
read. The navigation bar in particular is almost impossible. I actualy can't
read what some of the items are.

Well, I've got to finish it first, but I've two Sam/Harry stories in progress.
One closer to completion than the other.
If they work out, I'll probably post them.

I'm trying to track down a con report/interview that I'm sure I read

Hmm. I didn't find that, but I found an older quote from Cult Times
(issue #69), where Tom mentions them "hinting" about a soft spot for
Carter:
http://stargate.envy.nu/tom_mcbeath1.html
I doubt that's of much help, but I did like it. :)
Does anyone else find this a potentially interesting pairing?
::cough:: They're actually my pairing of choice. ;-) There's some
Sam/Harry related stuff up here (http://www.glovelove.com/samharry/), in
fact.
If you do end up writing anything, I'd LOVE to read it. I usually have to
sucker/bribe/blackmail friends into writing the pairing for me - and
they're the shy types who won't put anything up for public consumption.
