I am currently reading A Fine Passion by Stephanie
Laurens.

The last of his line, Jack, Baron Warnefleet, has fled
London after nearly being compromised into marrying a
dreadful female. Turning hs back on the entire notion
of marriage, he rides home to the estate he has not
seen for years, determined to set in motion an
alternative course of action.

But then in the lane before his gate, Jack rescues a
startlingly beautiful lady from a menacing,
unmanagable horse. However, while he begins by taking
command, the lady continues by taking it back. Lady
Clarice Altwood is no meek and mild miss. She is the
very antithesis of the woolly-headed young ladies Jack
has rejected as not for him. Clarice is delectably
attractive, beyond eligible, undeniably capable, and
completly unforgettable. Why on earth is she
rusticating in the contrary?

That engma is compounded by mystery, and it's quickly
clear that Clarice is in danger. Jack must use every
ounce of his cunning and wit to protect this highly
independant and richly passionate woman...who has so
quickly stolen his heart.

###

Background:
In November, 2003, Tina Adams created the Fiction
Promotions website as a way to help published authors
reach their reading public.

The site grew, and it swiftly became apparent that
there was a growing need to separate the
"writerly-type" information from the "readerly-type"
information being made available to visitors of the
site.

In September, 2005, Mrs. Adams made the decision to
expand--a decision which brought about the birth of
the Fiction Today website. Fiction Today is the more
"reader-centric" side of Fiction Promotions, which
will become more "writer/author-centric", and largely
targeted toward published authors, book publicists,
book marketing professionals, and publishers.

The decision was also made to merge the additional
fiction sites Mrs. Adams had previously created, to be
run as extensions, or divisions, of a single business
instead of separate ones.

This created an entire "network" of fiction websites
that Mrs. Adams encourages all readers to visit and
enjoy.

The FictionToday.com Mission:
Booklovers need a place to go where they can talk to
other lovers of books--about books. They also desire
information about novels they haven't read yet,
authors they've yet to meet, and even more, readers
who love books love to read!

Fiction Today strives to bring readers together in a
place where they can connect, communicate, discover
new books and authors, and most of all, feed their
love of reading by, well...giving them plenty to read!

I am currently reading Charade by Sandra Brown.

Cat Delaney is a TV personality who experiences a
lifesaving medical miracle, only to be trapped in an
ever-tightening web of danger. On it edges lurk
sinster shadows and cruel lies. At its center waits an
unknown stalker reaching for her with the hands of a
killer.

It all begins with Cat's new heart. One of several
patients who recieve transplants on the same day, Cat
doesn't know her donor's identity. She only knows that
instead of returning to her glamorous, high-profile
career, she feels compelled to change her life.

Leaving Holleywood for San Antonio to host a TV show
spotlighting adoptive children with special needs, Cat
has reevulated the woman she has been--and the person
she needs to be. Where she had embraced ambition, she
opts for compassion; where she fought for fame, she
begins to value love. In her new role, she fights to
gain respect as a newscaster and meets Alex Pierce, an
ex-cop turned crime writer who regards her as a woman,
not a heart patient. When danger strikes, he may--or
may not--be her most important ally.

Cat doesn't yet suspect her new world will lead her
into a dark maze of love, betrayal, and fear. Or that
the people around her are not what they seem. Even
more frightening are the fatal "accidents" befalling
the other patients who recived donor hearts--and the
mysterious stalker who now haunts her every move.

It's not just that Brooklyn bar owner Billy Nolan is
wickedly handsome; it's also that any woman he dates
and dumps--and he dumps them all--immediately goes on
to marry the next person she meets. But Kate Jameson
is immune to his charms. She left Brooklyn for upward
moblity in Manhattan at the first chance she got. Now
working as a psycholgist at a swanky private school,
she's not about to fal for some cad from the old
neighborhood.

Then Kate's best friend Bina's engagement is broken
off, and a plan is born. All Kate has to do is get
Billy to date and dump Bina...and then wait for Bina's
wayward fiance to come back to his bride. With a
little help from friends Barbie, Bev, and Bunny--who,
along with Bina and Kate dub themselves the "Bitches
of Bushwick"--nothing could be simpler.

There are just a couple of hitches. Kate hasn't
conunted on how Billy feels about the whole
scheme--and how she begins to feel about Billy

I am currently reading Evening Class by Maeve Binchy.

Aidan Dunne, a Dublin Latin teacher, always meant to
go back to the Italy he visited as a youth. But as the
years passed, he concentrated instead on the usual
struggles of daily life, like vying for the job as
headmaster at his school, keeping memories of Italy in
the back corners of his mind. At forty-eight,
emotionally distanced from his wife and baffled by his
two grown daughters, Adian Dunne might have given up
entirely if he hadn't been for the evening class. His
class. A class called Introduction to Italian. A class
where people from every walk of life come together. A
class where long-buried hopes come alive again.

The teacher is Signora, a vivacious, essentric woman
with an irrepressable nature and a buried past. Her
real name is Nora O'Donogue, a Dublin native who
abandoned Ireland decades before to follow her
myeterious lover to Italy. Having defied her parents'
Catholic conventions, she ended up in a village where
tradition dicated everthing including how a woman
could love or grive. Now, as she meets Aidan Dunne and
the men and women who come together each Tuesday and
Thursday night, Signora begins to learn their secrets
and their dreams. And slowly she transforms each of
thier lives.

Suddenly Aidan Dunne's last chance, his evening class
has become a place of Intrigue and revelation. Here
Bill, a reliable bank clerk, uncovers the hidden
source of his fincee Lizzie's outrageous behavior.
Teenage Kathy, slow at day school but bright as a
button with Signora, is coming close to realizing a
devastating truth about her family. Streetwise Lou,
his tuition paid by a crime boss, has his own agenda
for the group. And mousy Fiona decides to meddle in a
married man's illicit affair--with repercussions for
everyone, including Signora and Aidan Dunne.

and help her sister care for thier ailing mother. But
Jane is also drawn home by a wrenching secret from her
past, a secret she's finally determined to reveal.
Even if it means destroying a local family--and her
best chance at love.

Dylan Chadwick has shed the steely exterior he once
wore as a federal agent to return to the apple
orchards of his childhood. Four years ago his wife and
daughter were killed in a crossfire of a case he was

For Madison "Mazy" Bacon, a young wife in southern
Wisconsin, the future appears every bit as promising
as it is reassuringly predictable. A loving marriage,
a well-organized home, the pleasure of planting an
early spirng garden--these are the carefully tended
dreams that sustain her heart and nourish her soul.

But when her husband of two years sells the homestead
and informs her that they are heading west, Mazy's
life is ripped down the middle like a poorly mended
sheet forgotten in a midwestern storm. Her love is
tried, her boundaries stretched, and the fabric of her
faith tested. At the same time, she and eleven
extraordinary women are pulled toward an uncertain
destiny--one that binds them together through
reluctance and longing and into acceptance and
renewal.

Based on an actual Oregon Trail incident, All Together
in One Place, Book One in the Kinship and Courage
series, speaks to the strength in every woman and
celebrates the promise of hope that unfailingy blooms
admist the tragedy adn challenge.

Saturday there was a nasty storm in my neck of the
woods. In the morning I went to a wine bottling and it
was not too bad, but it started getting worse when my
mom and I were on our way home. When my dad got home
from work we had to put down the awning that is over
our hottub. It took us about 15 minutes or so cause
every time the wind came up we had to hold on it the
awning really tight. It was very cold. Then later on
in the evening, we lost power for about 15-20 minutes.
I did not get online last night in case it happend
again. Now I am going through a ton of e-mails.

Just wanted to let you know what was going on in case
you were wondering. Hope everyone is having a good
weekend and will have a wonderful week this week.
