c) Making fun of racers'/contestants' mistakes
I concur regarding that any the above has nothing to do with "bashing"
contestants.
Personally I've been rooting for Nick and Starr from the get-go, and
while in side interviews the sibs have no issue admitting to lying to
other teams, when they DO lie, generally it's been done *playfully*.
"Have you found anything...?" Nick asks when he already found and has
the clue and he "casually" heads back to Starr, giving other players
the illusion *he's* still looking. Brilliant.
Nick and Starr get that lying is an aspect of the game. I find it
hilarious when racers whine about other racers "not being fair."
Excuse me, in a race there is only one [winning team]...! Were I a
TAR racer, being "helpfully unhelpful" certainly would be one of my
team's top strategies.
Nick and Starr aren't nasty about it: they're just more strategic than
most of the current (and even many previous) teams. If they're
eliminated, I'd suspect it would be a case of major Bad Luck over any
major mistake on their part (nightmare cab driver/heavy traffic, et al).
