This is a GEN discussion and fiction list for Irwin Allen's Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea. To be a member, you must be willing to post a piece of fiction, artwork or speculation relating to Seaview and her crew at least once every three months. You can post it to the list or just post a URL, and there's no need for the story to be exclusive to Seaview's Sub Pen list (though some fiction will end up being exclusive to this list by those authors who so desire). The dues requirements are not stringent. A drabble is as sufficient as a novel. The purpose of dues is to have all list members be in the same boat as regards offering up their work for public consumption. The goal of this list is to provide a "safe haven" for writers and readers to explore the world of the Seaview. It remains the writer's prerogative to decide what kind of critiquing he or she desires: grammar; grammar and content; canon; content; style; etc. as well as whether critiquing should be private or public. List members are expected to abide by their fellow writers’ wishes in this regard and to “play nice.” Membership is by invitation or application. Specific requirements for dues submissions as well as list rules can be found in the files section under subpenPOD.doc. Joining the list will signify your acceptance of the list rules.
