This is it! The show you remember, but no one else seems to! It came on during the mid 80's and starred Stephen Collins (7th Heaven) as Jake Cutter, pilot of the sea plane Cutter's Goose. His love interest was Sarah Stickney White, played by Caitlin O'Heaney. Jake's forever faithful buddy was Corky, played by Jeff Mackay (Magnum PI, JAG) and the owner of the Monkey Bar-where they all hung out-was Bon Chance Louie, played by the great Roddy McDowell(Planet of the Apes, Fright Night). Why not travel with me right now to an island in the South Pacific to a bar and inn nestled in the palms. Inside resting on the bar is a brass monkey idol, century's old! It points towards you as you enter the bar. Does it offer a curse on those who come in...or a blessing? What adventures await those who tell the tales of the gold monkey?!!
