Hi everyone. Burton Roberts, from Survivor: Pearl Islands, is featured
in an interview at www.webdigestweekly.com. He talks about his time on
Survivor, his new hits with Camp Reality, Around The World For Free,
and Yacht Channel, and what he's planning for the future. Burton is an
amazing guy and it's a great article. Thought I'd share with it with
other Survivor fans.

So, surely everyone knows by now that Burton is one of the reality stars on
Bravo's new Battle of the Network Reality Stars....it plays every Wednesday
night at 9pm eastern/8pm central.
There promises to be tons of Burton without his shirt on...I caught a glimpse in
the previews and it looks as if he has trimmed his furry chest. :(
Anyways, just wanted to let all the fans know so they can tune in!
Pete in LA
(who has a total crush on Burton Roberts!)
Hey all! Below is an article I ran across online. The last paragraph
deals with Burton, but thought I'd copy and paste the entire article
so that the part about Burton made sense. It's pretty obvious the
dude that wrote it isn't a Burton fan, but with the "gay or not gay"
still being tossed around all over the internet, thought I'd tell you
all about it. I think this dude is a blogger (still not exactly sure
what that is)and this is his website forum. There is a picture of
Burton with his donkey that I couldn't copy, so when you read "except
the clown in the picture", the writer is referring to this photo. You
can find this photo on Burton's website that is mentioned at the
end.
**********************************************************************
The week of April 24 was taxing to say the least. To begin, my
grandfather died (sorry to get heavy) so I had to fly back to SF on
extremely short notice for his funeral. After having to speak at a
funeral service for the second time in two years, I left for a return
red eye and an interview in New York. The following day I then flew
to Chicago for my wife's business school reunion (Kellogg, class
of
2000!).
As the above should hint at, not having a job makes you vulnerable to
other's wishes. "Others" like those that do have a job.
"Others" like
my wife. This is what led me to an enclosed plastic tent on
Northwestern's campus on a cold Friday afternoon. There sick with
a
cold I found myself exhausted, a bit depressed and surrounded by
middle managers. Fortunately endless amounts of beer were also
present courtesy of liquor conglomerate Diageo. Little did I know two
days of shockingly HARD PARTYING lay ahead. Indeed, I remained drunk
for the next 48 hours.
Suffice it to say I was not anticipating a weekend with consumer
product group branding types that involved a shit load of vodka, more
Old Style than you can imagine and hot dogs of all varieties.
(Regarding this last gem: if you are ever in Chicago, you MUST go to
hot dog establishment called Hot Doug's. It is near Roscoe
Village on
the North Side and features 12 different varieties of hot dogs as
well as Italian beef, gyros and, for you busy folks, "meat on a
stick" (corndogs). During the entire 40 or so minutes I spent at
Doug's, a loud hit parade of The Buzzcocks, Damned, Deadboys,
Pagans
and Crime cranked from the speakers. The walls were covered with
encouraging slogans such as "The two most beautiful words in the
English language are "encased meats" and "EAT!")
The drinking occurred in our host's basement, a sleazy bar in
Evanston called The Deuce and Harry Carry's (RIP) downtown. The
people I met, my wife's former classmates, were extremely nice.
Rather than the bland, moderate Republican types I assumed they were
going to be, they were funny and loved nothing more than handing you
a cold beer or hot brat. This not being the up tight Bay Area, the
bars stayed open till 4; although the latest I could handle all of
the drinking was 3.
I guess the point is that a good time often comes where you are least
looking for it. In need of a smile after a grueling week, I
unexpectedly found it among MBA types. While some were conservative
in their politics, most were middle of the road. Nearly all are
having kids for the first time, buying houses and wondering how they
were going to pay for it. In short, they are just good, average folks
like you and me.
Except the clown in the picture. His name is Burton Roberts. He went
to Kellogg and evidently slept with many of the women there (not my
wife, I have been told). He is the son of Texas oil money, has never
really worked in his life and came in 5th on Survivor. To give you an
idea what sort of specimen this dude is, at about 2 AM at a bowling
we were all drinking at he told a girl who he used to nail in school
how much he missed her, his life was empty without her, etc. That
girl is married now and her husband was right there. Check out
Burton's website, http://www.burtonroberts.com/
As my departed grandfather used to say, there's always one
motherfucker in the woodpile
Hey all!! On June 3, 2005----Burton and Jonny Fairplay hosted another radio show on Fishbowl, where they talk to Stephanie and Wanda from Surv. Palau. Burton says he quit his job in San. Fran. and has started a Adventure Travel Business in Los Angeles. It's a very interesting program and parts of it are quite funny. Just thought you'd like to know.

One question, is his voice as pleasant as it was on television and or radio?

I ran across a website that I can't quite figure out. Anyone interested in looking at it and giving me their feedback-----??? Type in www.imdb.com At the top of the page, click on BROWSE. When you come to the next page click on FILMS & MORE BY GENRE. On the next page, scroll down and type in ECO-CHALLENGE FIGI 2003, scroll to the action category. That will take you to the Eco challenge page where Burton is listed as one of the cast members. Apparently his name is John Burton Roberts III. He used the name John Burton in the Eco-challenge. Anyway, my confusion is that if you click around the site regarding this, I get the impression that this program might be available for sale, but cannot figure out how to buy and/or whom to buy it from. Does anyone have any idea if this is indeed for sale and if so, where can I buy it? I would love to see another program
with Burton in it.
I just double checked and it is www.burtonroberts.com click onto the Happy Holiday's link and he explains what he was doing during the holidays-----i.e. breaking his leg and then he shows the actual x-rays. This is his homepage and doesn't he look good with his donkey??? What am I saying??? Of course he looks good----with EVERYTHING! In case anyone doesn't know------------the most recent interview with Burton was on a site called the Fishbowl. If memory serves, I believe it took place in November 2004. That's where I found out that he no longer lives in San Fran. CA-----but now lives in Los Angeles. The picture on that site is gorgeous too!!!!!!!!!!!!! You can also buy a Survivor Pearl Island Drake Tribe Buff on that site, that has been signed by Burton---------------.

Hmm, how tall is he? I'm 5'11" and i know he was
taller than me, I'd say he was 6'1", 6'2" at the most
and his frame is not as large as it was on Survivor.
I will keep my eye out for him and forward you any
future sightings!
Peace

Thanks Pete, enjoyed your posting. I also have a hard time believing he is gay, but the rumors have really flown in that direction for him. I read an interview he gave on a site called Fishbowl and in that interview he said he had moved to L. A. Didn't say what he was doing for a living there though. Please Pete, I'm dying to know, HOW TALL IS BURTON REALLY?

You're right rhitter94!! And YES, he is one of the most gorgeous men that has ever been on Survivor and on TV. His webpage says that he would like to host a travel/adventure type show. Wouldn't it be great if someone would offer him a job to do that?? Have you seen his webpage?? It includes alot of pictures and information Survivor never mentioned, including the X-ray pictures of his broken leg.

I totally agree with rhitter94....keep your opinions to yourself..I
cannot help but wonder if you haven't been jilted in some way by
Burton...that will remain to be seen I guess, but you don't come to
the man's board and bash him!! I too have been a huge fan of the
show Survivor always, but when I saw Burton..WOW!! He has been the
hottest survivor ever ....he played his heart out to win that
challenge that got the 'outcasts' back in the game!! I was so proud
of him in that challenge and how he played the game....Lill is the
one who gave Burton the screws..have you been over to her board
bashing her!!??!!
As for the company he 'used' to work for...it wasn't run solely by
one man....there was a team of people so maybe Burton was the smart
one to get out before the company folded!!
I say kudos to the man...and no matter what you think I still love
him!! I keep track of him to this day and it is refreshing to hear
new things and see new photos of the man...I wish him the best of
luck in all he does as well...you go BOY!! : )
I too have met a wonderful friend off this board and I want to thank
Burton for bringing that 'special' person into my life....don't know
how I ever made it without them!!
Best of everything to you Burton...I'll be anxious to hear anything
new!! : )
One of your biggest fans!!
~Connie in Nebraska!! : )

You know.. ever since I saw this message, I keep wondering who the
dumbass really is.. and the more I think about.. you're the

Unless you have some specific reason for doing so, keep it to
yourself, if you don't mind. The rest of us will come to our own
conclusions when and if we meet him.
And in regards to the comment of being a homo in denial.. who
freaking cares? As long as he's happy, that is what matters. I
would not mind being his friend, but if I never get the chance to
know him, I wish him ALL the luck in the world, because for a brief
time, he made what was a dark time in my life more bearable. And
because of him, I've met and developed a wonderful friendship with

lose, THANK YOU.

P.S. Love ya!
Whatever could find that looked decent- I would save the pictures

looking fine that day- blue shirt- bandana on his head and a scowl-
have mercy. :)
Amd sheesh his fave author is Ayn Rand- my fave author as well-what's
not to lov?lol.
