STRANGE PARADISE EPISODE 28

Tim and Holly walk down the staircase to the Great Hall as Jacques torments
Jean Paul. Jean Paul tells Jacques this cannot go on. Jacques tells him to turns
and greet his guests. Jean Paul walks past Tim and Holly to the staircase and to
his room. Tim uncovers the portrait as Holly sits as his model.
In the lab Dan looks through the books on the table as Alison walks in. Dan
asks if the purpose of the books is to bring back the dead. He tells Alison he
has feelings for her. They argue about Jean Paul keeping them on the Island with
Alison telling him she understands Jean Paul’s reason. Dan asks Alison if she
believes Erica can be brought back.
Jacques takes possession of Jean Paul and approaches Tim. Tim covers the
portrait. After Jean Paul (Jacques) walks away Holly reminds Tim of Jean Paul
disappearing from his room making Tim nervous.
Jean Paul (Jacques enters the mansion accompanied by Elizabeth and takes her
on a tour of his ancestors portraits. In front of Jacques portrait Elizabeth
remarks on his resemblance to the portrait. They join Tim and Jacques tries to
look at the portrait. Tim asks him not to. Jacques releases Jean Paul as Tim
apologizes and asks if he wants to look at the portrait. Jean Paul becomes upset
and asks him not to uncover it. As he walks away Elizabeth grabs his arm. Jean
Paul pulls away and tells her he has wants only one woman in his life. Elizabeth
blames Tim for Jean Paul’s behavior.
Dan tells Alison he is worried about Jean Paul but even he cannot break the
law. Alison tells him without the death certificate the Cryonics Society would
never have come to the Island.
Elizabeth demands to see the portrait. Holly tells her to leave Tim alone and
also Jean Paul. Tim tries to comfort Holly and tells her of his feelings for
her.
Dan makes a joke about poisoning himself. Alison gets upset and tells him she
is worried Jean Paul might try to kill himself. Elizabeth enters the lab and
looks around. When she asks Alison why Jean Paul would have a fully stocked lab
she tells her for her sister because of the pregnancy.
. Jean Paul enters the secret room and records a message to Erica. Holly and
Elizabeth argue over Jean Paul’s attention. Jacques tells him he is his to
control as Jean Paul records a message telling Erica he is only hers.

In the laboratory Alison asks Quito if he knows anything about the missing
cyanide. He tries to sign then finds Raxl to interpret. Quito tells Alison that
Jean Paul took it. Alison questions Quito asking if he could be mistaken. Alison
tells them if Jean Paul took it, it was to kill himself. Raxl claims it was
Jacques Eloi des Mondes that took it when he possessed Jean Paul. Alison asks
Raxl to search Jean Paul’s room when she tells her of Erica’s missing medical
records.
Raxl asks Quito to join her in the Temple to call the Conjure Woman.
Alison is looking for Raxl as Reverend Dawson joins her in the Great Hall. She
tells him about the missing cyanide.
In the Temple Raxl summons the Conjure Woman.
The Reverend questions Alison on who could have taken the poison and to what
purpose. They argue over Raxl’s belief that Jacques is the cause of all the evil
that is happening on the Island. Alison tells him to read his bible and he will
find the rites of exorcism against demons and devils. She then tells him about
the missing medical files.
The Reverend enters the crypt and walking to the entrance of the Temple he
pushes on the stones.
As Raxl calls out to her the Conjure woman materializes.

Holly claims that someone pushed her down the staircase. Jacques torments Jean
Paul telling him that the next time someone might go over the cliff.
Vangie warns Raxl that Jacques must be stopped or death will come to Maljardin
again.
Jean Paul accuses the Reverend of trying to harm Holly and warns him to stay
away from her.
Raxl calls to the Serpent God to lead her to the Conjure Doll and the pin.
Reverend Dawson tells Jean Paul that Jacques isn’t the only demon on the
Island then walks from the room. Jacques possesses Jean Paul then holds out his
hands to Holly. He puts his arm around her shoulder and tells her he will
protect her.
Vangie gives Raxl a potion to give to Jean Paul that will help free his mind.
She then lays on the altar and returns to the Mainland.
The Reverend enters the crypt. As the Temple door is opened Quito grabs him.
Raxl tells Quito to release him. The Reverend explains that he is looking for
the bottle of missing poison. He tells her of Holly’s accident and his fear that
Jean Paul will use the poison on everyone on the Island..
Raxl and Reverend Dawson enter the Great Hall. Jacques sits in a chair and
watches them. Raxl asks about Holly and if he suspects the Reverend.
Jacques informs Raxl that he is going to the Mainland. Reverend Dawson tells
Jean Paul (Jacques) that he is leaving with him. Jacques refuses to take him.
Jacques arrives on the Mainland with Elizabeth Marshal. Once seated he
questions her about Holly’s inheritance. Vangie stands at Jacques table and lays
down a tarot card that drives Jacques from Jean Paul’s body.
In the Great Hall the Reverend joins Holly and warns her about Jean Paul.
As Vangie reads Jean Paul’s fortune he asks her to contact Erica through
spiritualism.

The cryonics equipment malfunctions as Dan is down in the crypt. He rushes to
the Great Hall calling for Alison. He finds her in the lab and they rush to the
crypt. As Alison works on the gauges Quito watches from across the room. Alison
worries about Jean Paul's reaction to the possible damage to the equipment and
Erica.
Dan warns Alison that they are all in danger. As they leave the crypt Quito
follows them.
Jean Paul tells Vangie his belief that he will be with Erica again through the
cryonics. Vangie remarks on his releasing evil from the past.
Raxl states that Jacques’s evil is growing more powerful and she and Quito
must find the doll and pin before Jacques controls all of them. Then warns Quito
that Jean Paul must be protected from the witch (Elizabeth).
Jean Paul asks Vangie to come to Maljardin to perform a seance. Elizabeth
overhears and questions Jean Paul about the seance.
Alison finds a notebook in some papers in the lab. They are notes from Doctor
Menkin’s experiments. As Alison looks through it Raxl enters the lab. Raxl
suggests that Dan may have tampered with the cryonics. Dan enters the lab and
Raxl walks from the room. Alison asks him not to make anymore trouble for them
on the Island. Dan angrily leaves the room..
In the crypt Raxl joins Quito and tells him they must search for the doll and
pin starting with Jacques casket.
. Elizabeth questions Vangie about Jean Paul and his behavior.
Dan returns to the lab and apologizes to Alison. Alison shows him the notebook
and explains that Doctor Menkin was experimenting with recreating the human
body, then tells him the six weeks before Erica’s death are missing from the
notes. She tells Dan she is going to stay on Maljardin until she finds the
answers about Erica’s death and also Doctor Menkins.
Alison and Dan enter the Great Hall. Alison wonders if Erica could have been
murdered then tells Dan of the caves beneath the cove. Dan worries it might be a
trap as they leave the mansion to look for the cyanide.
Jacques takes control of Jean Paul and mentions to Elizabeth that she would
inherit everything if something should happen to Holly.

Elizabeth becomes upset with Jean Paul(Jacques) insinuation that she would
harm Holly. She rushes from the table and Vangie blocks her exit as Jacques
joins them. Vangie cries out as she senses something is wrong with the cryonics
capsule. Regaining control of his body Jean Paul threatens death to the one that
tampered with Erica’s capsule.
Arriving back on Maljardin Jean Paul questions Raxl when he rushes to the
crypt. Raxl tells him that Dan was in the crypt searching for the missing
cyanide.
Elizabeth asks Vangie to read her fortune . Vangie refuses and tells Elizabeth
to leave Jean Paul alone.
Raxl asks Jean Paul about the doll and pin telling him Jacques evil is
poisoning the air.
In the great Hall Elizabeth and Vangie discuss Jean Paul’s change of moods and
the fear that he instills in his guests. The Reverend joins them and Elizabeth
asks him about Holly. After Elizabeth leaves the room the Reverend tells Vangie
about Holly being pushed down the stairs and Jean Paul blaming him.
Raxl warns Jean Paul they must watch over Erica more closely for her safety.
The Reverend tells Raxl he has searched but has found nothing. Raxl tells him
of the curse Jacques Eloi Des Mondes has brought to the Island. She informs Matt
the Conjure Woman has come to the Island and she may be the next to die.
In the crypt Jean Paul talks to Erica of not only having to fight the devil
but also his guests. Jacques calls out to Jean Paul and torments him then
reminds him of the pact that was made.
Vangie tells Raxl she must be near Erica before she can perform the seance.
Jean Paul catches her and Raxl in the crypt and tells her she must not disturb
Erica.
In the Great Hall Jacques torments Jean Paul about whom will be the next to
die.

Quito places flowers on Erica’s capsule then kneels next to it.
Holly argues with Tim about being pushed down the staircase as Tim works on
the portrait. Holly angrily rushes up the staircase as Tim runs after her. Quito
enters the Great Hall and seeing the portrait he collapses.
After coming back from the cove Dan and Alison enter the mansion and finds
Quito on the floor. Not finding a heartbeat Dan claims he is dead. Alison
realizes Quito is breathing then tells Dan he really is a zombie with no pulse
and no heartbeat. Holly and Tim join them and Dan tells them to stay with Quito
as he and Alison rush from the room. Holly notices the portrait and covers it.
Dan enters the crypt and searches around the capsule then Quito’s room.
Holly screams as Quito stands and approaches her. Dan, Tim and the Reverend
try to keep him away from Holly but are pushes away. As Quito reaches for Holly
Alison steps in front of him. Quito turns and uncovers the portrait. Alison
can’t decide if the portrait is of Erica or Holly.
The Reverend tells Holly that Quito meant her no harm, that he sees something
of Erica in her. Alison tries to comfort Holly. Dan questions if Quito sees
Erica in Holly what about Jean Paul.
Tim tells Holly he has feelings for her. Holly gets angry with him.
Dan and Matt discuss Jean Paul accusations against them. Dan tells Matt that
Jean Paul is on the edge and it will bring all their deaths. Dan tells Matt
about the seance
Quito sits in his room as Holly enters the crypt. He watches as Holly kneels
next to Erica’s capsule and tells her of her fears. Quito approaches Holly and
frightens her. Holly rushes up the stairs and discovers the portrait of Erica
slashed.

In the Temple Vangie prepares for the seance asking for guidance. She feels a
knife slashing her face as the portrait is slashed.
Holly tells Matt and her Mother that the person who slashed the portrait wants
her dead. She rushes off in fear. Elizabeth tells Matt she is afraid of Jean
Paul’s anger when he sees the portrait. Matt walks up to Holly and asks if she
has any idea who could have done it.
Vangie tells Raxl she doesn’t know who carried the knife but Jean Paul will
blame everyone.
Jacques calls to Jean Paul in the Great Hall and reminds him of his threat to
slash his portrait then tells him to be more cautious.
Holly tells the Reverend she is afraid wherever she goes on the Island and she
suspects everyone except Jean Paul. Matt reminds her they are all Jean Paul’s
prisoners. Holly tells him about her near drowning as a child as Elizabeth
listens from the staircase.
Matt and Elizabeth discuss the missing cyanide. Elizabeth claims that Holly
slashed the portrait.
Elizabeth approaches Vangie and tells her she thinks the Reverend slashed the
portrait. Vangie tells her they will find the answer at the seance.
Matt enters the crypt looking for Raxl and Quito grabs him. Raxl walks up to
them and tells Matt Quito is only following Jean Paul’s orders, that no one is
allowed in the crypt.
As Raxl and Quito search the Great Hall they discover a chest but when they
open it they find it is empty.
Reverend Dawson tells Holly that Dan and Alison believe Jean Paul is behind
all the incidents on the Island. That they all must work together to get off the
Island.
Raxl stands in front of Jacques portrait and wonders who will be the next to
die. Holly huddles in a chair in fear as she listens to Raxl.
Vangie and Raxl enter the Temple. In a trance Vangie tells Raxl there will be
sorrow if the seance takes place.

Hi Gang,
I just finished looking at the first half of the Desmond Hall episodes
and was quite intrigued by the character of Irene Hatter (played by
Pat Moffatt, one or two t's) Wouldn't it have been a blast if Irene
had been played by Joan Crawford (she probably could've used the work
but considering the mess she made on SECRET STORM when she took her
daughter's role for a period of time, perhaps it's just as well she
didn't). Then instead of drugging Holly's tea with her special "herbs
and spices"(nothing to do with the Colonel!), she would of drugged her
glass of PEPSI COLA! The heat makes me do strange things. Excited to
hear about the book coming out in 2008! Anyone still interested in
trying to organize a convention for 2009? Thanks for the plot
summaries each day! And giving me the opportunity to contribute!

Jean Paul enters the Great Hall and sees Reverend Dawson staring at Jacques
portrait. Matt tells Jean Paul a live person is doing the evil on the Island.
Raxl warns Jean Paul that Vangie will die on Maljardin. Approaching Vangie he
asks her if she is afraid. Raxl tells him the seance must not take place, that
the Spirits have warned them. Jean Paul tells them he is the only one on the
Island to give orders.
Alison asks Jean Paul if he is truly going to go through with the seance. Jean
Paul argues with the Reverend then tells him he is to attend the seance to prove
who is the stronger.. Vangie tells Jean Paul the members of the circle will be
chosen, but not by her.
Raxl asks Alison if she found the missing notes on Doctor Menkin’s
experiments. Alison asks Raxl how she knew about the notes.
Jean Paul questions Alison on why she and Dan went to the cove. Raxl accuses
them of trying to hide the cyanide and the notes.
. Vangie and Raxl enter the Temple and call upon the Serpent God to make the
decision of who will join the seance.
Entering the Great Hall Jean Paul approaches Jacques portrait. Jacques is
silent and Jean Paul asks if he is afraid of what may be learned at the seance.
Matt and Alison enter the Great Hall and Jean Paul asks if Vangie is ready to
start the seance. Alison questions Jean Paul about his order he gave of death to
anyone that enters the crypt. Matt argues with Jean Paul about the accusations
he has made and his actions.
The members for the seance are chosen and Vangie collapses.
Matt angrily warns Jean Paul that he will be judged. Jean Paul asks. “By whom
and how?”
Raxl fears that Vangie is dead.
Matt tells Jean Paul he will be judged by the consequences of his acts. Then
accuses him of being selfish and not caring about anyone else's suffering. As
they argue Quito carries Vangie into the Great Hall. Alison checks her over and
tells Jean Paul she will be all right. Vangie awakens and tells Jean Paul she
saw death then points at Jacques portrait.

I would have loved to see the role of Court played by a young David Hemmings,
(Blow-up, King Alfred).

Hello Again!
The wheels in my head are turning.The following are my proposed
casting ideas for a remake (and I kind of wish it wouldn't be
attempted) of STRANGE PARADISE. For this post, I will use the
Maljardin characters.

STRANGE PARADISE EPISODE 36

Alison asks Jean Paul not to go ahead with the seance. Raxl begs him not to
risk his life after Vangie’s prediction of death. Jean Paul tells them he plans
to go ahead with the seance.
Holly and her Mother watch from the staircase as Jean Paul, Raxl and Quito
arrange chairs according to Vangie’s instructions.
Elizabeth joins Alison and Matt in the Great Hall. Vangie asks for candle
light only at the seance.
Holly approaches Jean Paul and Vangie asking if she is to attend the seance.
Vangie tells her no and informs Elizabeth that she will not be allowed to attend
either.
As the seance starts Jean Paul sits across from Vangie. Alison, Matt, Raxl and
Quito take their seats at the table. Vangie calls to Erica to speak to the one
that waits for her. As Jean Paul calls out to Erica, Jacques takes possession of
his body and Vangie cries out as she senses his evil. The Reverend notices the
chandelier swaying and calls out a warning. The chandelier falls and crashes
through the table striking Vangie.
Dan rushes down the staircase as Jacques tells Quito to check the fuse box as
the storm has knocked out the power. Holly and Elizabeth join them in the Great
Hall. Holly gets upset as she stands in darkness and sees Vangie . Jacques tells
her not to worry as Dan asks about Vangie. Jacques walks over to her and Vangie
stands and stares straight ahead in a trance. Matt asks what can be done for
her. Alison doesn’t know and worries that she might end up like Quito. She and
Raxl help Vangie to her room.
Matt, Dan and Holly join Jacques in the Dining room. Dan questions him about
the accident during the seance. Raxl warns him the Spirits were not willing.
When Dan and Matt refuse a drink Jacques carries two glasses of brandy to the
Great Hall and hands one to Elizabeth.
Matt tells Holly about the chandelier falling and Dan questions if it really
was an accident.
As Raxl walks down the staircase Jacques questions her about Vangie’s
injuries. She tells him that Vangie is still in a trance. Jacques orders her to
see to his guests.
Jean Paul regains control of his body and sees the destruction of the seance
table. Quito stands near a box of sand with a symbol drawn into it. Jean Paul
walks over to him as Raxl joins him. She glances at it in fear and informs Jean
Paul there will be more accidents and that the Spirits are angry with him.

STRANGE PARADISE EPISODE 37

Jean Paul states that if Vangie can manage there will be another seance. Raxl
warns him it means death. Dan asks him if it really was an accident when the
chandelier fell.
Raxl informs Quito that the message in the sand must be preserved for the
Conjure Woman to read.
Tim, Dan and Holly stand next to the shattered seance table and Dan tells them
the only accident was that no one was hurt. Tim reminds him about Vangie. Holly
tells them it was no accident when she was pushed down the staircase. Dan thinks
Jean Paul himself could be behind all the accidents on the Island. Tim asks Dan
why he was in the crypt. Dan reminds him of the missing cyanide and tells them
that Jean Paul is ready to punish and even kill anyone he thinks threatens him.
He then walks from the room and Tim tries to follow him. Holly stops him and
asks him not to leave her alone.
Entering his secret room Jean Paul records a message to Erica. He tells her he
will join her in death if he fails.
Tim wonders if someone is angry with him by slashing his painting of Erica..
Then questions if it could be Jean Paul.
As Jean Paul speaks to Erica, Jacques tries to take possession of his body..
Jean Paul resists but Jacques wins. Jacques watches the monitor in the crypt as
Raxl carries the box of sand and sets it down. Raxl tells Quito the message is
from the Conjure Man and tells where the Conjure Doll and pin are hidden.
Tim and Holly enter the mansion after hunting for a way off the Island. Holly
asks Tim why doesn’t he ask Jean Paul to help him. Tim reminds her that it is
Jean Paul who is keeping them there. Jean Paul (Jacques) calls to them from the
staircase. He takes Holly to the Dining Room and asks about what she and Tim
were discussing .
Quito keeps Tim from leaving the Great Hall to join Holly and Jean Paul as
Raxl calls out to him. Quito enters the crypt and Raxl tells him to guard the
box of sand with the message from the Conjure Man.
Holly tells Jacques that the Reverend mentioned secret passageways in the
crypt when he asks her how Tim was planning to leave the Island. Jacques asks
her to show him and walks through the Great Hall then stops next to Dan and Tim.
He tells them they are all free to leave the Island. He then walks with Holly to
the crypt. He sends Quito from the crypt then walks over to the box of sand and
touches it. Jean Paul gains possession and chases Holly out of the crypt. Tim
starts down the stairs to the crypt and Holly rushes to him for protection.
Raxl enters the crypt and opens the box before she takes it to the Temple. She
discovers it has been erased.

STRANGE PARADISE EPISODE 38

As thunder and lightning crash outside the mansion Matt looks at the
destruction from the chandelier. Entering the Great Hall Jean Paul tells him
they are to have another seance. As they argue Jean Paul informs him he did not
cause the chandelier to crash into the table. Matt warns him that he is risking
all of their lives and Jean Paul reminds him death was only predicted for him.
Jean Paul enters the crypt and is almost attacked by Quito. Jean Paul orders
him to repair the chandelier and the seance table. Then he walks over to Erica’s
capsule and asks if he is doing the right thing.
Alison searches the lab in frustration looking for the missing notes as Matt
enters. When Alison speaks about the evil on the Island Matt tells her he
suspects it is man made and not the devil as Raxl claims. Alison tells him if
she had the missing notes it is possible that Erica can live again. Matt tells
Alison about his feelings for Holly. Alison tells him she must check on Vangie.
Vangie still in a trance walks down the staircase. Alison sees her and guides
her to the bottom of the stars. Matt and Alison help Vangie to lie down. Matt
angrily blames Jean Paul for everything that has happened and threatens violence
against him. As he rushes towards the crypt Quito stops him. Alison begs him to
stop. Matt rushes from the room angrily. Alison asks Quito to stay with Vangie
as she follows Matt.
As Quito watches Vangie he becomes upset and walks back to the crypt where he
works on a potion.
Alison rushes into the lab and finds the Reverend with a knife in his hand.
After she asks him to calm down she gives him a couple of tranquilizers.
In the Great Hall Jean Paul confronts Jacques stating he was the disturbing
influence during the seance. Jacques gains control of Jean Paul’s body and
stumbles to the couch where Vangie lays. Vangie sits up and calls out “Lucifer”
Then tells him he must be driven away. Jacques reminds her that she is losing
the battle and asks her who put her in the state she is in. Vangie lays back and
Jacques starts to shake her as Matt and Alison enters the room. Alison rushes
over to Jean Paul and tells him Vangie needs medical help and must be taken to
the Mainland. Jean Paul (Jacques ) refuses as Quito brings the potion to Vangie.
After she drinks it Vangie awakens from the trance. When Vangie asks what
happened Matt explains about the chandelier. Vangie says they must try again for
Jean Paul’s sake.
Jacques enters the lab through a secret doorway and in his hand are papers. He
lays them on the counter as Alison enters the lab. He walks past Alison leaving
the lab as Alison discovers the notes.
As Jacques enters the Great Hall Jean Paul fights to gain control over his
body and wins forcing Jacques back to the portrait. Jean Paul rushes to the
crypt and tells Erica that when they are reunited together they will drive
Jacques back to hell.

The storm rages outdoors as Quito carries a barrel into the mansion. Matt
watches him then checks the spill on the floor. He wonders what they could be
doing with the sand that Quito has carried to the crypt.
Raxl warns Quito that the price of death will come to anyone who disturbs the
capsule. As Raxl and Vangie enter the Great Hall she tells Vangie that Jean Paul
has ordered anther seance. The Reverend overhears and angrily tells them that
next time some or all might die. Holly joins them as the argument continues.
Reverend Dawson tells Vangie she was speaking to Jean Paul as if he were the man
in the portrait. Vangie tells him she doesn’t remember. Raxl wonders if it was
Jean Paul or the devil that was speaking to Vangie.
Matt tells Holly they must work together to find a way to escape. Holly
reminds him that Jean Paul gave them permission to leave the Island. Matt tells
her that he has changed his mind.
Raxl tells Vangie they must find a way to make the next seance safe. Vangie
says the only way is to find the doll and pin.
Matt and Holly join Vangie at the dining table and Holly complains that she
can’t eat. Matt asks Raxl not to allow Vangie to conduct another seance because
somebody on the Island wants to kill them. Becoming upset Holly leaves the room.
Raxl tells Vangie they must follow Jean Paul’s orders and conduct another
seance. Vangie wonders if the devil is working through everyone on the Island.
Vangie and Raxl enter the crypt and Raxl tells Vangie about the drawing in the
sand showing the hiding place of the doll and pin. Raxl tries to draw it from
memory. Vangie wonders if they are being deceived.
Matt tells Holly the hidden chamber in the crypt will not show a way off the
Island but more imprisonment.
Raxl and Vangie walk out of the mansion and Holly tells Matt to follow them.
As Matt walks outside Holly rushes to the crypt. Quito tries to get her to leave
the crypt.
Raxl confesses to Vangie that the symbol they drew was not the one left by the
Conjure Man. As Matt stands behind her Raxl sobs that the only thing ahead for
them all is more horror.

Vangie explains to Matt that Raxl recognized the symbol for the doll and pin
in the drawing in the sand. She tells him the Great Serpent chose him to attend
the seance then adds that he is a disruptive influence because of his disbelief.
Tim joins the Reverend and asks about Holly. Matt becomes worried that Holly
may have gone to the crypt to look for a secret passage to get off the Island.
In his secret room Jean Paul sees Holly in then crypt as he watches the
monitor.
Holly pleads with Quito to help her. Quito again tries to get her to leave the
crypt. Matt and Tim rush to the doorway of the crypt as Jean Paul shouts at them
from the staircase to stop.
Holly asks Quito to show her the entrance to the secret passage. When he
refuses she asks for his help to get off the Island.
Jean Paul shouts for everyone to come to the Great Hall. When they are seated
Jean Paul stands angrily in front of them. Matt stands and faces him demanding
that Jean Paul take responsibility for his guests on the Island, reminding him
of the incidents that have taken place. Jean Paul tells him that no one is
allowed to interfere with Erica and the cryonics capsule.
Holly huddles on the stairs in fear as she listens to Jean Paul’s threats.
Alison informs Jean Paul she is going back to the lab. After she leaves the
room Jean Paul says she will regret not staying then mentions that Dan had not
even come to the Great Hall. He tells them an evil influence had stopped the
seance then asks Matt if the devil was working through him. Matt angrily turns
away. Jean Paul tells them there will be another seance when Vangie regains her
strength, then threatens to punish Holly for being in the crypt. Tim and Matt
grab Jean Paul as he steps towards the door of the crypt. Jean Paul asks
Elizabeth if she has anything to say in Holly’s defense then enters the crypt.
He orders Quito to guard her as he checks the capsule and gauges. Walking over
to Holly he asks her why she was in the crypt. Holly says she is looking for a
way out.
In the Great Hall Alison holds the missing notes of Doctor Menkin’s
experiments. When she is told Jean Paul is in the crypt she rushes down the
stairs. She asks Jean Paul where he had found the missing notes. Jean Paul tells
her he knows who can answer her question then rushes from the crypt.

Just a little note to let you know that I will be off-line for about five days.

Dan has been searching for a way off the Island. He enters the mansion and Tim
informs him that Holly is in the crypt and Jean Paul went after her in a rage.
As Dan rushes towards the doorway of the crypt Vangie tells him that Alison also
went down.
Jean Paul rushes to the Great Hall as Holly and Alison follow him from the
crypt. Jean Paul walks towards Jacques’ portrait. Jacques asks who is the Master
on the Island now. Jean Paul turns and faces the others as they stare at him. He
walks towards them and reminds them no one is allowed in the crypt then walks
from the room.
Alison shows Dan the missing notes she found in the lab. Dan asks if she is
going to continue Doctor Menkin’s experiments. Alison informs him that there are
still five weeks of notes missing.
Vangie sits at the table with the tarot cards and crushes one in her hand.
Alison becomes worried that Vangie is slipping in and out of trances.
Holly gets upset and rushes out of the room. Alison enters Holly’s room and
asks if Holly believed Jean Paul was going to harm her in the crypt. She shows
Holly the missing notes and wonders if Jean Paul has the rest of the notes.

In the crypt Jean Paul talks to Erica telling her he will not allow Jacques
interference with another seance.
Elizabeth asks Vangie if she can attend the next seance as Matt joins them. He
talks about his fears for another seance and tells Vangie he will not attend.
Vangie tells him the cards say he will.
Holly tells Alison she was afraid of Jean Paul at first as he came into the
crypt but then she reminded him that he brought her down the first time but he
didn’t remember doing it.
As Vangie holds her tarot cards Alison joins her as she goes into another
trance. Vangie cries out that the Spirits are angry and warns of the evil on the
Island.
Alison enters the crypt and Jean Paul confronts her about his order of no one
being allowed in the crypt. Alison reminds him that Erica is her sister then
asks about the rest of the missing notes on Doctor Menkin’s experiments.

Jean Paul faces Jacques portrait as Jacques torments him. Jean Paul orders
Jacques to keep away from the seance. Jacques demands that Jean Paul stop
resisting him then orders him to bed.
Alison has fallen asleep in the lab as Jean Paul enters and awakens her.
Alison complains of being kept a prisoner before she leaves the lab and tells
Jean Paul not to disturb anything
Quito enters the mansion carrying a black rabbit. Holly rushes to Quito and
pets the rabbit asking Quito what he is going to do with it. Quito offers it to
her and agrees to make a cage for it.
Quito carries the rabbit to the crypt where he finds a large basket to place
it in.
The next day Alison enters the lab to find Jean Paul still there reading the
notes written by Doctor Menkin.
Alison and Jean Paul join Holly for breakfast, Holly informs Jean Paul she
does not want to attend the next seance. Raxl tells Holly the Spirits and the
Conjure Woman will decide. Alison worries about Jean Paul’s health and mind and
asks Raxl if she can talk to him. Jean Paul angrily leaves the table. Holly
tells Alison about the rabbit
As Jean Paul enters the Great Hall Jacques calls to him and threatens to stop
the seance. Jean Paul turns angrily away as Alison walks up behind him. Worried
about his behavior she again asks him not to go through with the seance. Holly
joins them as Jean Paul asks Alison if she needs animals for her experiments. He
will send Quito to bring them from the Mainland.
Quito carries the basket to the Great hall and hands the rabbit to Holly. Jean
Paul asks Holly about the rabbit as Raxl calls upon the Great Serpent and claims
it is evil. Holly and Alison suggest that it had come over on the boat from the
Mainland. Raxl orders Quito to take the rabbit and destroy it. Holly begs Jean
Paul to stop them as he walks to Jacques portrait where Jacques torments him and
demands his cooperation.

Jean Paul enters the Great Hall and asks Raxl about Vangie. She tells him
Vangie is resting then reminds him of the accident during the first seance. She
warns him that the black rabbit is evil and will only bring more horror.
Quito follows Raxl to the crypt carrying the rabbit. She speaks to Erica of
her fear that the rabbit was sent by Jacques Eloi Des Mondes.
In the Great Hall Jacques torments Jean Paul over the rabbit. Jean Paul asks
him about Doctor Menkin’s notes then tells Jacques to stay away from the next
seance. Jacques questions if Erica would be happier in a grave. Jean Paul
reminds him of the pact they had made.
Reverend Dawson joins Jean Paul and warns him that they will find a way off
the Island. Then explains that it was his destiny to come to the Island to fight
the evil on the Island.
Raxl and Quito take the rabbit to the Temple and Raxl calls upon the Great
Serpent for guidance.
In the secret room Jean Paul watches the crypt and tells Erica he will allow
no one to stop the next seance.
In the Great Hall Holly paces near the entrance to the crypt worried about her
rabbit. As she walks to the doorway Matt stops her from entering and reminds her
of Jean Paul’s threat.
As Quito holds the rabbit Raxl glances at it and sees a locket around its
neck.
Holly and Matt enter the crypt, Quito sees them and chases them out. Raxl
rushes into the Great Hall and informs them that the rabbit escaped. As they
search Raxl warns them that the evil on the Island grows stronger. Holly accuses
her of killing the rabbit. Matt finds the rabbit and Holly picks it up. Matt and
Raxl struggle as Raxl tries to take the rabbit from Holly. Jean Paul shouts at
them to stop. He takes the rabbit from Holly and the necklace falls to the
floor. Picking it up he tells them it was Erica’s locket. Matt questions Holly
about the necklace. Raxl tells them it just materialized. Holly and Matt accuse
Raxl of putting it there herself. Jean Paul tells them it was sealed in the
cryonics capsule with Erica.

Vangie joins Holly, Matt and Elizabeth in the Great Hall as they discuss the
locket. Vangie informs them the seance will take place soon and they will have
the answer then. Dan rushes into the room and asks about Jean Paul. Matt tells
him Alison is with him. Dan wonders if someone opened the capsule and took the
locket from Erica’s neck. Or was Erica murdered before being put in the capsule.
He informs the others he is getting off the island and bringing the police.
Vangie orders everyone to take a seat at the seance table as she senses a
presence. Dan asks Matt why he is joining the madness. Vangie orders him from
the room.
As Vangie calls upon her father for guidance she enters a trance and shouts
“Out, out let me out!” Holly becomes frightened and rushes from the room.
Vangie faces Jacques portrait and asks if he is the evil force she senses.
Elizabeth carries a glass of wine in the room for Vangie. Vangie refuses it and
Elizabeth sets it on a table. Vangie lifts the locket and wonders if the answer
if in the locket or the blood.
Holly lays on her bed as Elizabeth enters the room. Her Mother tells her she
doesn’t trust anyone on the Island, and that they must find a way off the
Island.
Matt asks Vangie if she knows what is happening. Vangie wonders why the others
haven’t joined them, then warns that Dan is becoming violent and Jean Paul’s
soul hangs in the balance. Matt tells her he thinks it is someone on the island
posing as the devil and Dan only wants to help.
Elizabeth and Holly discuss Erica’s possible return. Elizabeth tells Holly Dan
will find a way from the Island but she wants Holly to attend the seance to
watch Jean Paul.
Dan informs Matt he is going to the boathouse to get a boat to cross the
channel. Matt warns him about Quito.
Dan sits and asks Vangie if Jean Paul speaks to Erica will it make things
better. Holly joins them and again Vangie orders Dan from the table because of
his anger. Vangie again enters a trance and shouts the words “Out, out let me
out!” Holly stands and also starts repeating the words. She becomes hysterical
as Dan and Matt struggle with her. Dan grabs the glass of wine and gets Holly to
drink it. Holly clutches her throat and collapses. Dan picks up the glass and
smells the wine. He wonders if the missing cyanide could be in the glass then
glances at Holly stating she could be dead.

Matt and Vangie discuss who could have poisoned Holly. Elizabeth enters the
Great Hall and tells them that Holly is alive.
Raxl enters Jean Paul’s room with a tea set and tells Jean Paul the rabbit is
evil and he is in danger because of it.
Elizabeth accuses Raxl of being the angry Spirit and Raxl overhears from the
staircase. Walking up to them she tells Vangie Jean Paul wants to see her and to
bring the locket to him.
In the crypt Raxl tells Quito the answer is with Erica Desmond.
Jean Paul questions if the locket is real and could it have come from Erica’s
neck after the capsule was sealed. Vangie enter Jean Paul’s room and they argue
about another seance with Vangie refusing to perform another one.
Jean Paul picks up the rabbit and wonders if it is evil as Raxl claims and
should he open the capsule to find the answer.
Matt enters Jean Paul’s room and shows fear of the rabbit. Jean Paul asks if
everyone fears him and could he be responsible for the events on the Island.
Then accuses everyone of being in a plot against him to drive him out of his
mind. He claims the only danger on the Island is to himself.
Raxl and Quito begin the search for the doll and pin starting in the crypt.
As Matt joins Elizabeth and Vangie he tells them of Jean Paul’s accusations.
Vangie approaches Jacques portrait and asks what is the truth. Matt tells
Elizabeth Jean Paul is wondering if he killed Erica and is thinking of opening
the cryonic capsule.
Raxl and Quito enter the Temple and Raxl calls to the Serpent God for the
answer of the doll and pin. Then claims that Holly Marshal must die to stop the
evil.
In the Great Hall Jacques tells Jean Paul not to open the capsule. Opening it
would not tell him anything, but it would doom Erica forever.
Jean Paul enters the crypt and Raxl warns him he will bring death to Erica if
he opens the capsule.

Jean Paul questions Raxl on the discovery of the skull. He then wonders if it
is a victim of Jacques. He asks if this could be the angry spirit that Vangie
sensed. Raxl warns him of having another seance, that the evil grows stronger.
Jean Paul takes the skull down and speaks to Jacques.
Alison enters Holly’s room and tells her not to sleep. Holly asks if she knows
who put the poison in the wine.
In the Sacred temple as Raxl calls for guidance.
As Jean Paul carries the skull Jacques takes control of him. Vangie sees the
skull in Jacques hand and cries out. Matt and Alison join Vangie on the
staircase as Jacques tells them the story of how Jacques Eloi Des Mondes
tortured his guest/prisoner.
Raxl brings Holly a cup of tea. Holly refuses it as Alison walks into her
room.
Jacques frightens Quito with the skull as he leaves it for Raxl. As he enters
the Great Hall Matt walks past him. Jacques calls to him and apologizes for his
earlier behavior. Then asks for his help but then tells him “Remember you are on
Maljardin and you are nothing except by the will of the Master” Matt turns and
walks up the staircase.
Alison tells Holly the poison is from the vegetation on the Island.
Raxl enters the crypt and discovers Quito sitting behind the skull She
questions him on who brought it to the crypt.
In her lab Matt and Alison discuss Jean Paul’s behavior in the Great Hall.
Matt wonders if Jean Paul was telling a story or stating a threat.
Raxl takes the skull to the Temple and asks for the answer to the evil on the
Island and the locket.
When Vangie visits Holly she speaks about the contact with the angry spirit
before Holly drank the poisoned wine. She tells Holly she must attend the next
seance to provide the contact with Erica.
Jacques sits on the couch as Matt tries to walk past him. He calls to Matt and
tells him he needs help. Matt joins him telling Jacques it is his belief that
that is the reason he is on the Island. They discuss Holly’s recovery then
Jacques pours a drink then speaks of a Master being in control on the Island
that will not allow any interference in his affairs. He offers the drink to Matt
who takes it with uncertainty. Jean Paul fights for control and orders Matt to
leave him. Gaining control Jean Paul collapses in a chair. Jacques threatens
that next time Jean Paul might not be able to get back.
