Thanks for the reminder Steve.   Looking forward to watching it tonight.

You can WIN the CD.  Competition today in the ABC magazine with IoS (p27)

From the magazine - "Ah, Stella Street.  A parallel universe in which Keith Richards and Mick Jagger have set up shop and spend their days bickering and playing cricket with Joe Pesci.  Phil Cornwell, John Sessions and Ronni Ancona (sic) assume their multiple roles once again in this feature film, inspired by the tv series, and we have 10 copies for you to play for, courtesy of Columbia Tri-Star.  To compete for one, just answer tis, like y'know, really testing question and send it off to us.

Mick and Keith run a shop on Stella Street.  Is it a) a record shop    b) a corner shop   or c) a knocking shop?

Send us your answers and details, including telephone number, on a postcard or email to -

Subject: [stellastreet] UK premiere of the movie

This is a reminder that Stella Street: The Movie will be shown on BBC2 tonight at 22:40. It's a choice programme in the Radio Times.

If you like what you see (and as I've said in my review, I think you will), you'll be very pleased to know that the DVD is available to order online ( http://www.blackstar.co.uk/scp/id/silentfilm/video/item/7000000087409 ), and will be in the shops from Monday.

It looks like this will conclude the saga of Stella Street that began in 1997. Or will it? It's unlikely any more episodes will be made, but the film is getting a cinema release in America, so perhaps this could be the birth of a new US cult as people discover the first three series. John Goldstone (the film's exec producer) is confident the film will do well in America.

When you've seen the film, please let me know what you thought of it. Write a review on IMDB is you like (there's a link from my News page).

See you on the other side, you god damn cracker asses.

Steve
