Phil Cornwell was on RI:SE a couple of days ago, and here are the latest items of Stella news according to him:
- You probably already know, but Phil is reprising his role of Dave Clifton in the new series of I’m Alan Partridge on Monday nights at 2200 on BBC2. Sadly, the series is not a patch on the original one, but nevertheless worth a look.
- Phil Cornwell is also appearing in Dead Ringers, the TV version of the hit BBC Radio 4 comedy show, which starts on Monday at 2100, also on BBC2. The radio series used to be extremely funny, before it disappeared up its own arse, and the one-off TV special earlier this year was very funny too. Recommended.
- Phil has said that he and John Sessions are currently working on Stella Street: The Movie. Whether this is shot on film or video, and is for cinema or TV exhibition, is as yet unknown. I’ll try to keep this list as up-to-date as possible.
So it’s all happening in the land of Stella Street, after a lacklustre fourth series and an apparently pregnant pause.
Cheers
Steve
