Actor Tom Konkle will be appearing in many of the
next seasons episodes playing a priest at a funeral, a
host of a parody of "Crossing Over," a husband who
surprises his wife on her anniversary, anger intervention
therapist, accident lawyer, yoga video director, lie
detector operator and many others, etc.<br><br>He is the
actor/sketch comedian (Lester McFwap) who played Revel the
fortune teller last season.
Looks like Spy TV will return in the Summer and
it will have a new host(Thank God for that!) Here's
the articles I just found...<br><br> Ali Landry
Tapped to Host 'Spy TV'<br>Tue, Feb 5, 2002 06:54 PM
PDT<br> <br><br>LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) - Ali Landry
will take over as host of "Spy TV" when the
hidden-camera show returns to NBC this summer.<br><br>The
actress, best known for a series of commercials for
Doritos, replaces Michael Ian Black, the "Ed" costar who
introduced "Spy TV's" gags during its initial run last
year.<br><br>An NBC spokeswoman tells Zap2it that Black chose to
focus on his work on "Ed" rather than return to "Spy
TV," in which a group of performers help people act
out elaborate revenge schemes and practical jokes
while the cameras roll.<br><br>All the gags for the
show's summer run have been shot; Landry will start
taping her segments next week.<br><br>In addition to the
Doritos ads, Landry's other credits include the upcoming
movie "Repli-Kate," a "Weird Science" update in which
she plays a scientist's ideal woman, and guest stints
on "Felicity" and "Pensacola: Wings of Gold."
Just to let any of you that are still coming in
here know that Spy TV is back in production on a brand
new season. I can not share with you any information
on the segments that we are producing or the
locations we are using (that'd give it all away wouldn't
it), but I can tell you that some of your (and our)
favorite faces will return. I can assure you, if you liked
us last season, you're going to love the stuff we're
doing now.<br><br>However, in the shadow of the
deplorable actions taken against us on 9-11, Spy TV was
forced to shut down operations temporarily. We just
couldn't see playing pranks on people in these days of
grief. I personally want to assure all the fans of the
show that the staff of Spy TV has been deeply affected
by these events. Some of us lost family and freinds.
Some of us had loved ones put in danger. But one of us
gave birth to a new baby the night before...life
springs eternal.<br><br>If there are any of you out there
who get pranked by us in the coming weeks/months, or
if you see the new episodes that will be broadcast
late this year or early 2002 and you feel that what we
are doing is in bad taste, given the cultural
climate, I ask you to please read this next paragraph
carefully:<br><br>We all need to laugh. The tension in this country
right now is so high, there needs to be some kind of
relief. We can not let terrorists stop us from enjoying
our life. Football and Baseball games may shut down,
but they'll be back. Broadway is up and running. Soon
the TV Networks will scale back their coverage and
your favorite shows will return,<br><br>And so will
SPY TV.<br><br>If any of you have lost a family
member or a loved one, my heart is with
you.<br><br>United we stand.
hey tom.<br>i was the one who had the water
bottle saying i had no idea it was a girl. they had used
me on a promo way back when the show first aired so
we thought the episode would air early in the
summer. <br>gmk
i happened upon this club. don't know if anyone
still is coming here. but, that promo did air a long
time ago. then they stopped running it for a long
time. well, i am the guy IN the promo! i never thought
the episode would run. we filmed back on may 1st. i
was anxious to see what actually made the final cut
and thought the final product was funny. i am
guessing the episode will rerun before the fall shows
begin. it is nice to see people were noticing the promo
and the show....george......
I saw it in a promo too. It is apparently a film
where the director gets this guy to make out with girl
then they switch. Thats all I know from www.mbci.com.
Maybe its soon.<br><br>Who knows it sounds like it
might be funny.
Does anyone know when the episode where the guy thinks he's kissing a girl but
finds out it's a guy will air...I saw a preview some time ago but haven't seen
the episode..??
It was funny and I liked that they didnt show
them telling them they were on Spy TV it seemed more
like a comedy thing or sketch show. I like revel. I
put Aug 3 but it aired Aug 2nd. Anyone know is there
is more revel stuff coming up><br><br>Me
Did anyone else like the part in tonights episode with Revel the bad fortune
teller? I thought that was genuinely funny and fast. Who was that actor if
anyone knows. Thanks.<br><br>T
Sorry a typo "sutting" should read "cutting." I
thought the revel the fortuneteller was a nice change in
tone for the show. A genuinely funny piece. Good
comebacks and reactions when he told the guy his girlfriend
was a man or that she should give up and has a short
life.<br><br>Tom in Indiana.
Who saw an enjoyed the revel fortune teller
segment along with me. I liked the funny quips and fast
sutting, I thought it worked and was a nice balance with
more than one person being tricked. I would like to
see the revel fortuneteller character again. He was
on the Thursday August 3rd episode and told people
horrible things would happen or gave bad news,<br><br>Did
anyone else like it?
Sorry, when I posted my reply to you I realized it sounded terse. Not intended.
Believe me, it would be hard to offend me considering the way the critics like
to rip on us.
I have a friend who I am very interested in setting up on Spy TV. I have looked
everywhere to find out how to contact them. Can anyone give me some help here?
This is the first time that I missed (had to work
late Tuesday night). Which "half-naked" clip was it? I
already saw the "photographer" episode (not bad, loved
seeing the reactions of the jealous wives)...was it the
"cardoor?" If so, was she the victim or was she the set-up?
When will it re-air?
Loved tonight's show, w/the interplay between Michael and the correspondent :).
Definitely a much better show this time around (and hey, finally the half-naked
girl clip).
Could anyone tell me from what video the
"international gas-passer" was from? He was on one of the
earlier episodes. <br><br>I remember seeing commercials
to buy the comedy video with him on it, but I don't
remember the name... <br><br>Thanks!
You sound lik you were upset by my comments...but you asked for feedback, and I
gave feedback. Sorry if you didn't like it, or it wasn't what you wanted to
hear - didn't mean to offend or anything.
First off, Michael Ian Black is playing a
character. Pure and simple. As a matter of fact, he's doing
it the way he wants to do it. It was his
idea.<br><br>As for the subtle humor, sarcasm, I thought that's
what he was doing (or did you not notice him touching
the guy driving the truck?)
