If you notice you haven't had much email from the
groups check this out. Members should check it
out anyway, because the last couple of paragraphs
may apply to you...
I just learned in another group that Yahoo has
activated its "SpamGuard" to the Groups. It will
hold as pending all messages it can't decide are
spam or not (yippee). The moderators can change
the settings by going to "management", then on
that page, under "Group Settings" you'll see
"Messages". Click that, and scroll down to "Spam
Filtering" and turn it off if you want to. If a
group doesn't get much spam, might as well, or
you'll have to check for legit messages. The
so-called "spam folder" is just a link (that the
moderators can see) on the homepage which reads
"pending spam", or I believe you can have them
delivered to your inbox.
Also, Yahoo notified me that they were bouncing
my emails because there error message read that
my account didn't exist (which begs the question
why they emailed my EXISTING account to tell me
this and to re-activate it!!)
You are supposed to know if your bouncing by
going to your "My Groups" page, and there should
be an alert in red near the top. I didn't have
that! However on that page, if you click "My
email preferences" it will give you a list of one
or more and tell you if any are bouncing.
Good grief!
Linda
