Attention All Sections Moonbase Alpha!

It is with pleasure that we are officially announcing the 30th Anniversary
Celebration of "Space: 1999" in the USA! Called EARTHBOUND: 2005, it will
take place over the dates of July 22, 23 & 24, 2005 in beautiful, sunny
Tampa, Florida. This very special convention will be hosted and headed-up
by Ellen and Michael Lindow, with the assistance of Charlene Scott, Robert
Wood, Anthony Wynn, and others.

"Space: 1999" debuted on worldwide television in 1975. The first
"Space:1999" convention was held in Columbus, Ohio on the last weekend of
July in 1978; the first of 16 gatherings throughout the USA in the years
that followed. EARTHBOUND: 2005 will mark the 17th convention and the
30th anniversary of the classic British science fiction television series.

The main actors from both Series One and Two are being invited to
EARTHBOUND: 2005, and include: Martin Landau, Catherine Schell, Nick
Tate, Prentis Hancock, and Barbara Bain.

We are pleased to announce ZIENIA MERTON and BARRY MORSE as our first
confirmed guests! Zienia is pleased to be invited to this "Special
Milestone Celebration" and looks forward to seeing the American fans once
again. Barry will speak about and sign copies his new and long-awaited
autobiography "Pulling Faces, Making Noises: A Life on Stage, Screen &
Radio". This book has the distinction of being the first book of
reminiscience from any cast member of "Space: 1999" and includes a full
chapter devoted to the series. It will mark his only USA appearance to
promote the book.

EARTHBOUND: 2005 will take place at the Crowne Plaza at Sabal Park
(formerly the Radisson). Official con rates will be announced shortly.
Convention passes are now available for purchase and payment options
include Paypal (where you can use major credit cards) and via check or
money order through snail mail. Three day passes to the convention will
be available for $100 through December 31, 2004, then increase in price up
to the con date. We need to stress the importance of budgeting for and
purchasing your convention passes as early as possible. The number of
attendees will directly affect the number of guests that the convention
can afford to bring to Tampa.

So start making your vacation and convention plans today! Florida is one
of the top tourist destinations in the USA and contains many attractions
throughout the state. Tampa features the famous Busch Gardens wildlife
preserve and theme park, and located not far away are Disney World, Epcot
Center, Universal Studios, SeaWorld, Kennedy Space Center, and many other
attractions.
