Just for shits and laughs and out of complete boredom, I just started
watching Season 2 again from start to finish for probably the 4th or 5th
time (not including the occasional random episode). Seasons 2 & 4 are
my favorite seasons if I had to choose.
Anyway, I just watched a scene from an early Season 2 episode where
Richie Aprile gets out of jail and is meeting Tony in a mall. Richie
mentions to Tony that he has saved Tony's ass many times in the past.
Confused, Tony then asks Richie when he has "ever stepped in" for Tony.
Richie replies by asking him if he remembers when Tony and his older
brother (Jackie) busted up Feech Lamana's card game. Richie tells Tony
that if it wasn't for him, Tony would have taken a beating, to say the
least.
I suddenly realized that he mentioned Feech Lamana, as they brought
Feech's character back much later (Season 5 I believe). I never noticed
that before after watching this season so many times and I thought that
in was an interesting little nugget.
I also wanted to mention that I absolutely hate watching the edited
versions of this great show on A&E and it should never have been
syndicated for cable TV. It completely destroys the greatness of "The
Sopranos". However, A&E has inspired me to pop the DVDs in a few times
here and there in order to watch the episode they are showing in full
detail.
