In the 31 Jan-6 Feb issue of the Radio Times 2004 is the result for
readers' votes for spookiest programmes ever. The Singing, Ringing
Tree came 20th. There are a few words about the film and a small
black-and-white picture.
Children of the Stones (another kids' show) came in 15th. The League
of Gentlemen Christmas special (Hello Dave!) came in 13th. The winner
was Stephen King's It. It featured Pennywise the evil thing in the
form of a clown.
