"How about your posts getting eatten, or all the error messages when
flicking through posts?? Because they sure are annoying me."

Like I said, I'm being open-minded. I know there are lots of problems
going on right now, but I think it's mostly due to how they're
working on everything while the system is live, which is generally
ill-advised but I'm glad to put up with the occasional error instead
of being without for days on end. I refuse to make judgements until
the conversion is complete and we can get a real idea of how this
will work out.

How about your posts getting eatten, or all the error messages when
flicking through posts??
Because they sure are annoying me.

After my double post earlier, I tried posting again and it completely
died on me.
But I am curious about one thing.

In my double post the second one posted part way through me typing up
the post.
Which was pretty freaky in itself.
But what was even weirder (I don't think that's ann actual word) but
the post that was part way through, posted after the full post.

Yeah, I believe the club is gone for good (much to the chagrin of a
certain someone....you know who you are). I don't know if I really
miss the old club right now because I'm being open-minded about it,
but if Groups is still this much slower to load after all the Clubs
are gone, I'm not going to be happy. ;)

"What does everyone else think of this new setup?"

Well, as a member, it's different but I don't think it's really all
that much worse. But from a moderating point of view, Groups is
*soooooo* much better!!! So many options and control over things!!!

I have a question for people who are owners and moderators of their
own Groups: what do you do with the people who are bouncing??? Do you
just send them back into the population, wait on them awhile, or just
clean them all out??? I checked the bouncing list for SG1 Fans and
there are 34 IDs on the list (and not a one that I recognize). I'll
have to ask Kit before we do anything, but I was wondering if people
have opinions or suggestions in such regards.

I still can't get into the chat room (no surprises there), and every

Also wondering why the "New Year Eve, 1969" posts are dated "1970",
did they get promoted a day in the transistion? : )

I'll try to hold out some hope that I'll get used to groups one day.

Oh? As opposed to our puny little 2023 members and "still growing
daily"? ;) Also, I get the idea that this "Promoter friendly" thing
is, in effect, a license to spam, yes? How... distasteful.

Now, while I can overlook the mis-use of punctuation and spacing,
let's get a few things clear:

> The moderator wants people to post what there up too.

"they're" not "there"

> If your selling anything

"you're" not "your"

> Tell people what your selling,

Ditto

> This is what it say's on the home page for the group...

"says" not "say's"... it isn't posessive, after all. Don't think it
CAN be, unless it's a proper name.

> "CT_Goth_Punk_Industrial_fetish is an
> international list based from Connecticut,
> USA This is a place for the
> subcultures.Goth, Punk, Cyber Punk,
> Industrial, ocult. the array of fetishes,
> Vampires,Latex,BDSM ,computer geeks, and more...

My personal feeling is "eeewww" (to put it politely), but a more...
open-minded response would be to ask, "If this is what the group is
supposed to be about, don't you think you should spam- er, advertise
it THAT way instead of spam- er, promoting it as some kind of
universal spam- er, announcements list?"

> Also in the photo section of this group they
> have over 300 pic stored, Of everthing from goth
> girls,Vamps,PVC,Punks ,Betty Page to Coss play pics.
> You should check them out too.

Again, grinding my teeth in an attempt to ignore the cavalier
attitude toward proper spacing... and the capital letter(s) in the
middle of the sentence(s). Something tells me I REALLY wouldn't want
to see some of those pics. But like I said, that's a personal thing.

>You can allso add to that section if you like.

"also" only has one "l" in it.

> Or any were on the list,But no Prorn please

"porn" not "prorn" But that's probably a legitimate typo. *sigh* And
somehow, I'm not at all reassured by that little tag-on. ;)

> I just figured I would give you people a last heads up.

A LAST heads up??! Has there been MORE of this... ah... "stuff" and
I've missed to opportunity to mock it?? ;)

Incidentally, this all has WHAT to do with Stargate?

> take care of your self's Cats and Dogs

Hmm. Either this is some kind of weirdly worded PETA statement, or it
should read "take care of YOURSELVES". I'm kinda partial to the idea
of this being some huge PETA terrorism plot.

ANYWAY, sorry to be propagating this stuff, and my apologies to
anyone if the language lesson offended thee; I simply couldn't
resist. From the look of this post, I probably wasn't loved enough as
a child and resorted to books and the English language as a way of
seeking solace from a world too harsh for my poor, sensitive little
soul...

Or maybe I'm just really warped. ;)

is what you do....

1. have your yahoo on so you can see your buddy list
2. come to the club site click on chat
3. RIGHT click on any members name if they are online line
4. a menu will drop down click on go chat or what ever yours says
that indicates come to a chat. then click on the little ok
5. hold onto because your coming to the new big chat

"So...I couldn't find the club any longer...Is this working yet?"

While it seems that Groups is indeed working, there are currently
some serious problems with the messages system (as you can see by
just looking at them). As such, I think we should try to keep posting
at the club site for as long as humanly possible because I have
contacted Yahoo about it and they'll be fixing it in the next little
while (and I don't know if these posts will still be around when they
do it). I do know the club is still there because I just posted over
there, but you may need to try to load it more than once as the clubs
are becoming fewer and their server space less reliable.

Thank you for your co-operation in this time of transition.

Some friends and I are trying to put together SG costumes for
Dragon Con this year and the one thing we are having trouble locating
are the jackets they wear on the show. Does anybody know a place
that these jackets can be found? I found one site that sold WEPs
jackets, but they were not quite the same as on the show. They had a
Nylon shell and were pretty thick. Something you might wear in
winter, but not everyday mission kind of stuff. If anybody can point
me in the right direction, I would appreciate it.
