SFTV News and Info

Dead Zone Season Three Announced

USA Network has renewed The Dead Zone for a third season, committing to
thirteen more episodes. Production will resume this fall. The press
release didn't indicate when the new episodes would air.

SciFi Schedule Changes on Tap

Based on the latest update to SciFi's schedulebot, look for the following
changes in September and October.

Taken - SciFi will begin airing Taken on a weekly basis on Sunday nights
at 9 pm and 11 pm ET/PT starting Sunday, Sept 28th. Each episode will
also repeat the following Sunday at 7 pm ET/PT.

October Daytime marathons - SciFi has lots of daytime (8 am to 6 pm mostly)
marathons scheduled for weekdays in October. 1960's Outer Limits, Hercules,
Battlestar Galactica, Farscape, Forever Knight, and Incredible Hulk are
all currently scheduled plus a bunch of movies in the last week of October.

Tracker gets sidetracked once again. Tracker disappears from SciFi's
schedule in October, yet again frustrating fans trying to watch the
series. If the current September schedule holds up, SciFi will air
one episode (Fever Part 1) that they haven't show before it goes on hiatus.

Stargate SG-1 will start being stripped daily at 6 pm ET/PT on Sept 28th,
starting with the beginning of Season Four. There is also an extra
episode scheduled at 7 pm Fridays. No details yet on where it falls
in the series run. Time Cop will no longer be airing then.

Of course, this is all subject to change.

Justice League Season Two Announced

The Cartoon Network finally has announced their plans for the second season
of Justice League. It will air weekly on Saturday nights at 10 pm ET/PT,
running both parts of each two part episode, starting Oct 4th.

Stargate: Infinity Stripped

It appears that the weekly airings of Stargate: Infinity on the DIC syndicated
run has ended and a few stations are now running it daily, mostly in the
mornings. I'm not going to keep track of those airings, so check your local
listings to see if a station you can get is carrying it.

All three SFTV mailing lists are now at yahoogroups (who have

The SFTV Schedules list consists of the roughly bi-weekly
SFTV Schedules mailing. It is a moderated newsletter type
list. SFTV News is a news and info oriented mailing list
that can be posted to by any subscriber. Traffic is a
nywhere from five messages a day to zero, so it is not a
heavy traffic list. SFTV Talk is a discussion list, so
message traffic varies.
