Just wanted to say I think Scott really did a great job last night.
I voted the whole two hours.  Couldn't get through for the first half
hour, so I too it as a good sign.  I wish him all the luck on Wed.

yeahh I go to the fox forum for american idol also. my name there is
wiseguyCTU...lol ( I'ma 24 fan too)...I couldnt put a link in my
signature there but I refer people to my profile and favorites,

Todays the day we Scott fans do our thing.  The key is to vote the
entire 2 hours no matter what and don't forget right at 8 eastern 5
pacific to send a strong prayer up for Scott that God will just wrap
his arms around Scott and that Scott will just come out and BLAZE
through his performance!  Tonights the night we put Scott through to
the top 12 and take one more step closer to fulfilling his dream.

I'll be in and out of here for the rest of the evening so hope
someone will update us here on the westcoast.

Shaker native is 1 song away from American Idol' finals
Shaker Heights native Scott Savol is one performance away from
becoming an "American Idol" finalist. That performance is tonight.
It's very good. Just a wonderful feeling," Savol said by phone from
Hollywood, Calif., on Friday.

Savol, 28, survived two rounds of semifinal cuts to make the Sweet
16. Waiting for "American Idol" host Ryan Seacrest to proclaim if
you're in or out is excruciating, Savol said.

"It's all on the people now," said Savol, who graduated from Shaker
Heights High School in 1995. "I rely on God to let people hear what
he hears when I sing. That hasn't failed me yet."

He was unemployed when he decided to audition for "American Idol" in
Cleveland this summer. Savol previously had worked as a Cuyahoga
County corrections officer and security guard.

Savol's family hopes to join him in Hollywood if he makes the
finals. His parents, Catherine and Edward Savol of Shaker Heights,
say that his fan base is growing. His clan includes siblings Stacy,
Michael and Patricia and his son Brandon.

Savol sings in the men's portion of the competition at 8 tonight on
WJW Channel 8. The women compete at 8 p.m. Tuesday, and the results
show is 9 p.m. Wednesday.

Savol hinted that he'll sing an older, up-tempo song. He knows that
he must perform better than ever in order to make the finals. "You
gotta bring more every week. You never want to slip. You might not
be around the next week," he said.
