Save Ruby & The Rockits
Ruby & The Rockits is an ABC
Family original series staring Alexa Vega and the Cassidy brothers. On
09/11/09, Alexa announced on her twitter that the show has not been
picked up for a second season: "Ruby didn't get picked up :( "
But this doesn't have to be the end! Save Disney Shows was founded by Kim Possible
fans that thought it was that wrong for a "soulless" company to
arbitrarily end the show at 65 episodes. We where able to brink KP back
by working together. And since then, Disney management has been much
more responsive to the wishes of fans, but it's only natural that
problems still arise.
The cancellation of Ruby & The Rockits has to be one
of the biggest blunders of the Iger-era at Disney! Any show that brings
together Alexa Vega and the Cassidy brothers has scores of untapped
potential! There is no justification that warrens ending the series
after showing just eight episodes!
Simply put, this cannot be allowed to stand. ABC Family can't just
produce ten episodes and just walk away, not only is it wrong to drop
the fans once they've started to get invested in the show, it doesn't
make any business sense. What does ABC Family do with 10 episodes? It's
a waste of money not to order a second season.
We don't know if there are enough fans to make a difference. ABC Family
didn't give the series much of a chance to acquire fans, but if every
fan joins our movement, and shows the show to their friends that number
will grow. And given the amazing success of the Save Kim Possible
Campaign has made, We firmly believe that there's nothing we can't
accomplish if we work together - starting right now!
This
past September, Disney hosted the "Ultimate Disney Fan Experience," the
D23 Expo, at the Anaheim convention center (across the street from
Disneyland). Fans in attendance had unprecedented access to Disney
employees and technology including keynote presentations from CEO
Robert Iger, Former Walt Disney Studios chairman Dick Cook, Walt Disney
Parks and Resorts chairman Jay Rasulo, and Animation Chief Creative
Officer John Lasseter. These executives presented a wide array of
exclusive previews of upcoming film and other projects.
For a fan like SDS Webmaster Greg that loves both the classics and the
new stuff, the Expo was like a dream come true. He saw a lot of cool
footage, everything from rare shorts from the archives (including a
never before shown Mickey mouse cartoon) to the newest unreleased
footage (like the first third of The Princess and the Frog).
Greg got to meet some DC stars including Debby Ryan of the Suite Life
on Deck, and Tiffany Thornton of Sonny With a Chance. And of course, he
let all the stars in attendance know of our movement should we ever be
needed to help save any of their shows. He even got to see Miley Cyrus
perform "The Climb" at Dick Cook's presentation!
Kim Possible got a couple mentions. The first was in the "world of
disney" video that showcased the scope of the company at the beginning
of CEO Robert Iger's presentation. All of the currently running DC
shows where mentioned, but KP and SWAC got slightly more prominent
mentions. This video introduction also prominently featured the music
of the High School Musical series. The other mention for KP was during
Jay Rasulo's presentation and was about the popular Epcot attraction.
Greg stood and clapped - and people around him looked at him like he
was nuts!
There where some problems, which was to be expected as Disney's never
done anything like this before, but all in all it was an awesome event.
Everyone should take a look at Greg's Expo Website. There's a lot of great information there about the event.
Dick Cook Resigns; Rich Ross Promoted!
Our very own Rich Ross has been selected as the new chairman of the Walt Disney Studios.
Ross
was the president of the Disney Channel, and has been our #1
recommended target for letters and emails ever since the founding of
SDS. But now that Ross is moving on to the film division, we need to
change our strategies.
We’ll be watching as Disney reshuffles it’s personnel, and we’ll keep you apprised on whom you need to write to.
Halloween
is by far the best recruiting day of the year. All year long we spend a
lot of time encouraging everyone to get out there and find more people
who don't yet know about our movement(s). This might be by posting
flyers around town, wearing SDS merchandise, and/or by posting about us online.
But
on Halloween, kids (and their parents) come right to your door. So put
a couple flyers on it. Or pass out handouts with the candy. It's a
great opportunity for near free promotion that should not be wasted.
Start printing your flyers and handouts now!
For your convenience, we've organized our available flyers and handouts on our Halloween Bash Website. Spread the Word!
Just for the Hannah Montana Fans...
If
you're not a fan of Miley Cyrus or Emily Osment, this section is
definitely not for you. For everyone else, Webmaster Greg was lucky
enough to see both Miley and Emily perform this past month! Miley is
currently on her second major concert tour, "Wonder World," and she
puts on quite a show! And we wanted to share some photos (see below)
and videos from Miley's concert.
A
few days after Miley, Greg was able to attend Emily's free concert in
the parking lot of the San Jacinto, CA Wal-Mart store, which also
featured Ashlyne Huff. He's posted the Videos of the Concert which include all six songs from Emily's upcoming EP “All the Right Wrongs.” And check out some of the photos from the event below.
Give a Day. Get a Disney Day
And
finally, before we end this edition of the newsletter, we wanted let
everyone know about a new program from the Disney parks that will let
you in the gates for free! (And we certainly hope everyone has or will
take advantage of their free birthday admission this year). What
follows is the un-edited announcement from Disney:
Birthdays. Anniversaries. Reunions and beyond. Life gives us so many feel-good reasons to celebrate!
Because
you’re a valued Passholder, we wanted you to know about a very special
program beginning in January 2010. One that gives us all one more
reason to celebrate–and that's the good things we do for each other.
Introducing the “Give a Day. Get a Disney Day.”
program*. It’s how we want to inspire one million people just like you
to volunteer a day of service to a participating organization in your
community. In turn, we’ll celebrate your efforts by giving you a free
one-day admission to Disneyland® Resort! As a Passholder, you may
choose from one of the following three options instead of receiving the
1-day, 1-Park ticket:
Disney Special FASTPASS® cards for certain attractions for you and up to
five additional members of your party†
A collectible Ear Hat figurine with exclusive trading pins‡
Donate your free ticket to a non-profit organization designated by Disney Parks.
In
the next few months, you’re going to be hearing more about all the ways
you can help. Whether it’s helping out with animals or environmental
programs, mentoring a child, or building a home for someone who doesn’t
have one, start thinking about what kind of volunteering you’d like to
do in your area. Visit disneyparks.com to learn about the "Give a Day. Get a Disney Day." program!

SaveKimPossible.com Comes Home
SDS
Webmaster Greg is delighted to announce that his first website,
SaveKimPossible.com, has finally come home. The domain was registered
when we first began the Save Kim Possible movement. But as many of you
know, due to financial issues we where forced to give it up and create
this site, SaveDisneyShows.org, instead.
Despite
several attempts over the years, we had no luck getting the domain
back. That is until now. With a little help from Phil, Greg once again
holds the domain, and this time we’re keeping it!
After
some debate over what to do with it, we decided that it was the best
place to put a history of the Save KP Movement. Sometimes the debacles
of the season five campaign seem to overshadow the amazing
accomplishment that was the renewal for season four. To this end,
SaveKimPossible.com tells the story of how we saved the show.

Article: ‘Hannah Montana’ to end next year
It sounds like season four is really only a half season of 12/13 episodes (depending on how you count the series finale). And that Miley was apparently the one that pushed for it. Maybe DC management isn’t doing as well as I thought…

Personally,
I think it's great that Disney has finally eliminated their aritrary
episode caps and are continuing to produce their highly rated shows.
While it would be nice to see more quality animation on the channel,
these renewals are a very good sign for the future of the channel.
Official Princess and the Frog Trailer
Well, the time has come. We have the first official trailer for The Princess and the Frog. Originally called The Frog Princess,
this film is the first Disney 2D animated feature film since Michael
Eisner announced the art form dead back in 2004. That move was a slap
in the face to the then soon to retire Roy Disney. Fortunately, Robert
Iger reversed Eisner’s decision when he became CEO, and this December The Princess and the Frog returns the company to it’s roots. Please click here to view the video on the SDS Blog.

New series J.O.N.A.S. Premieres May 2nd.
The
Jonas Brothers have a new series on the Disney Channel. The new comedy
has Kevin, Joe and Nick Jonas playing the fictional Lucas Brothers who
are rock and roll superstars trying to deal with the pressure of the
business. Unpredictable and often absurd situations are created as they
try to live ordinary lives, just like the real Jonas brothers. Kevin
says the crazy situations of the TV characters are not a part of the
life he leads. “We have an amazing team around us. We’re just like
normal guys. We like to hang out with friends. We go shopping. We go
see movies. But we just work a lot at the same time, but we love it.”
The
show combines the two main ingredients for Disney Channel show-- music
and comedy, not to mention great stars. “Our cast is incredible,” Kevin
says, giving credit to costars Chelsea Staub (Minutemen), Nicole
Anderson (Hannah Montana), John Ducey (Will and Grace), and Rebecca
Creskoff (Mad Men).
Gary
Marsh, president of entertainment for Disney Channel Worldwide says,
“The true test of artists is their willingness to stretch creatively,
to tackle new challenges. The Jonas Brothers, already established as
music superstars, have don just that with JONAS, by
stretching beyond their established comfort zone into the world of
television comedy. And what makes them great performers on the stage,
their talent for relating to and connecting with their audience, serves
them perfectly as comedic actors.”

The
pins are probably the coolest things in the store, just because I’ve
put together a good cross section of Disney Channel related items

for his help and hard work creating a German language version of Save
Disney Shows! As I'm sure most people know, German fans where a huge

DC shows in Germany, this seemed like a great way for the movement to
expand.

This month, KP and WITCH fans will have another opportunity to show their dedication and fight for their shows. For both shows, the battle is to keep them alive. The end of Toon Disney greatly threatens both shows - for KP it means the loss of one channel and relegation to the early morning hours on DC. For WITCH it means removal from the US airwaves Entirely! And even worse for WITCH fans, the comic series is now ending as well (more here). It's time for the fans to make their voices known. Please begin to prepare your paper letters now - they are the most important part of these events. Disney contact information can be found in the How to Help section of SDS.
Disney Channel Ratings down
We all knew it couldn't last forever; for the first time in ages Disney Channel suffered a ratings decrease.
Hannah Montanas ratings are down ever sense Mileys Vanity Fair photos. The original Suite Life series is ending. KP and ADJL are over. And the only new show getting any decent promotion is Phineas and Ferb. And I doubt few would disagree with the statement that Camp Rock was no High School Musical.
My hope is that now Disney realizes that they cannot endlessly manufacture hits. At some point the fans really will begin to walk away in noticeable amounts.
And for the Second Quarter of this year "April saw a decline with Kids 6-11 of roughly -08%." "In a year-to-year comparison, the Tweens 9-14 demographic dropped -11%." May went on to drop "another -08% (Total Program Day)." "June saw double-digit declines in every notable kids demographic." For kids 6-11 the decline was "-11% (TPD) and -15% (Primetime)" year-to-year.
"From a larger perspective, Disney Channel lost more viewers in Primetime than throughout the entire day of programming, in each demographic. The largest of such losses, in June 2008, were with Tweens. Tweens 9-14 viewership decreased -16% (TPD) and down another -21% (Primetime)."
Disney has been heavily targeting the Tweens, and that's where they had the largest drop! This they have to notice!
This is obviously most exciting for the Hannah Montana fans (BTW, you can preorder it on Amazon now for 30$ off) but it also signifies that disney is now willing to release Box Sets of current shows! It's time for fans of all DC shows to step up their calls for full season boxsets. I'm certainly going to make sure to mention the HM boxset in my KP Legacy Day letters.
The Suite Life Spin Off
Finally, I just wanted to give you all a reminder that The Suite Life spin off, The Suite Life On Deck, premieres later this month. And if you haven't heard the name Debby Ryan yet, you will soon enough.
Soon Toon Disney will be gone, and a new channel "Disney XD" will take it's place. This new channel is intended as a sort of Disney Channel for Boys.
Of course, this will have two major effects for existing DC fans. Animated shows that had a sanctuary on TD such as Kim Possible or American Dragon are in serious trouble. I've mentioned my theory that KP will soon be removed from DC - without TD it will likely be gone from the air entirely! And by making a DC for boys, it will also make the current Disney Channel push even further toward courting females exclusively. Disney is supposed to be family entertainment - programing for
EVERYONE. And further narrowing the demographic targets is not the
Disney way.
I am very deeply troubled by this development. Read more here: http://blog.savedisneyshows.org/2008/08/10/the-death-of-toon-disney/
The Walt Disney Studios unveiled a diverse and ambitious slate of 10 new animated feature films from Walt Disney and Pixar Animation Studios to be released through the year 2012 at a New York press conference held today by Dick Cook, chairman of The Walt Disney Studios, and John Lasseter, chief creative officer for Walt Disney and Pixar Animation Studios.
The line-up includes new films from Disney and Pixar's accomplished team of filmmakers, and features vocal performances by such top celebrity talents as John Travolta and Miley Cyrus ("Bolt"), Reese Witherspoon and Billy Connolly and Emma Thompson ("The Bear and the Bow"), Anika Noni Rose and John Goodman ("The Princess and the Frog"), as well as return engagements by Tom Hanks, Tim Allen and the rest of the "Toy Story" vocal ensemble ("Toy Story 3"). The roster of new animated features includes six new films from Pixar Animation Studios, four from Walt Disney Animation Studios, and the first four in a series of direct-to-DVD films featuring Disney Fairies from DisneyToon Studios. Starting later this year with the release of Disney's "Bolt," all Disney and Pixar animated features will be presented in state-of-the- art Disney Digital 3-D™. Additionally, newly converted 3-D versions of the beloved classics, "Toy Story" and "Toy Story 2," are set
to debut in 2009 and 2010 respectively.
Among the upcoming animated films on the 2008 release schedule are "WALL•E" (Pixar) from Academy Award®-winning director/writer Andrew Stanton ("Finding Nemo") opening nationwide June 27th; "Bolt" (Disney) from the talented new directing team of Chris Williams and Byron Howard, due in theatres on November 26th; and the Disney DVD and Blu-ray release of "Tinker Bell," the first in a new franchise of original entertainment set in the world of Fairies, on October 28th. The Studio's 2009 animated slate includes the summer release of Pixar's first 3-D feature, "Up," from director Pete Docter ("Monsters, Inc.") and co-director Bob Peterson, the Christmas Day release of Disney's original animated fairy tale "The Princess and the Frog" from acclaimed veteran Disney directors John Musker and Ron Clements ("The Little Mermaid," "Aladdin," "Hercules,") and the Disney DVD and Blu-ray release of "Tinker Bell North of Never Land" (working title). 2010
brings the highly anticipated return of Buzz and Woody in the Disney Digital™ 3D summer release of Pixar's "Toy Story 3" directed by Lee Unkrich ("Finding Nemo," "Monsters, Inc."); followed by the Christmas arrival of Disney's version of the classic fairy tale, "Rapunzel," featuring the directing debuts of animation legend Glen Keane and directing partner Dean Wellins, and the Disney DVD and Blu-ray release of "Tinker Bell A Midsummer Storm" (working title).
In the summer of 2011, Pixar's "newt" marks the directing debut of multiple Oscar® winning sound designer Gary Rydstrom. Christmas 2011 brings Pixar's first fairy tale, "The Bear and the Bow," from acclaimed filmmaker/writer Brenda Chapman ("The Prince of Egypt"). The Disney DVD and Blu-ray release of "Tinker Bell A Winter Story" (working title) also debuts in 2011. The year 2012 will mark the return of Lightning McQueen, Mater the tow truck, and an international cast of favorite and new car characters in Pixar's "Cars 2," directed by Brad Lewis (producer of "Ratatouille" ). Scheduled for Christmas 2012 from Walt Disney Animation Studios is "King of the Elves," an adaptation of a Philip K. Dick short story, directed by Aaron Blaise and Robert Walker ("Brother Bear").
Commenting on the announcement, Cook said, "We couldn't be more proud and excited about our upcoming line-up of feature projects. With so many great films literally on the drawing boards and computer screens, we felt that now was the perfect time to give moviegoers all over the world an update on the state of our art. In a year when our Studio is marking the 80th anniversary of Mickey Mouse, the character that started it all for us, it seems especially timely to share our plans for the future of animation. With John Lasseter and Ed Catmull guiding our creative efforts both at Emeryville and in Burbank, this is as exciting a time as any in our history."
Lasseter added, "This is an amazing time for animation at Disney and Pixar, and it's a thrill to be working on such a diverse and original group of films with such an all-star team of filmmakers. The thing I love best about my job is that I get to work at both Disney and Pixar with filmmakers who are passionate about their projects and who are the absolute best in the business. We're excited to be pushing the boundaries of 3-D and computer technology to tell our stories in the best possible way. At the same time, we're drawing on our past to emphasize memorable characters, original edge-of-your- seat stories, and believable worlds. Walt Disney and his creative team taught us how to blend comedy, powerful emotion, and action-filled excitement in our films, and this group of incredible filmmakers is bringing their own originality and sensibilities to the process."

Since Kim had a baby or is having a baby maybe she didn't want to do another show right now.It also could be that disney didn't want her back.Phil Lewis[Moseby] is on deck to take care of them.

Yeah that Selena girl has been kicked around a bit with Disney trying to find a place for her and that was as you mentioned Greg years ago. Also a long time ago was that Aly and AJ series that was axed. I would like to know why Kim was not mentioned? Who is going to be responsible for the boys? And why cant she sing on the ship? Oh well anyways Ashley has more of a future in movies then on DC series. We all know that TV shows are the stepping stones for movies/films as that is where more money is at and fame. But of course Ashley is not a person who is greedy and wants more and is not happy with what she has. I too was disappointed in not seeing her in S3 and I thought it was selfish for her not to appear more like she was in S1 and 2 or else cut her name on the opening title.
Maddie wasn't in the last season of TSL, so I didn't expect to see the character on any type of spin off. I started watching the show beacuse of Ashley Tisdale, but it is time for her to move on.
I also found it strange that Kim Rhodes wasn't mentioned. I would think she's go with the boys, but I don't know. It seems strange they'd want to lose the mom character.
Someone else mentioned the Arwin spin-off. That show is not happening. They shot a few episodes with the girl from Wizards of Waverly Place (Selena Gomez) more than a year ago and the execs decided not to pick it up.
Hey thanks for posting this Greg. It sure looks as if Disney Channel is moving into the 'spin-offs' for Raven and now Suite Life. I do like how it was said the show was going to be a multicamera shot show in front of an studio audience. I know for you Greg not having Ashley on is heart breaking but ya can be guaranteed that she will show up as Maddie when called upon. Something of note is no mention of Kim Rhodes. Whats up with her? Will she be back? Anywho this has to be looked on as a great moving step forward for Suite Life fans.

It's all aboard for Zack and Cody. Disney Channel is spinning off its live-action comedy "The Suite Life of Zack & Cody," giving the hotel-set series a nautical twist. Series stars Cole and Dylan Sprouse, Brenda Song and Phill Lewis are set to reprise their roles for the spin-off, titled "The Suite Life on Deck."
The new series follows twin brothers Zack and Cody Martin (the Sprouses) and hotel heiress London Tipton (Song) after they enroll in a semester-at-sea program aboard the SS Tipton. To his chagrin, dutiful hotel manager Mr. Moseby (Lewis) also must go aboard, assuming responsibility for all three.
"Our audience has shown us that after 88 episodes, 'The Suite Life of Zack & Cody' remains one of their favorite sitcoms ever," said Gary Marsh, president of entertainment at Disney Channels Worldwide. "We decided to find a new way for Zack, Cody, London and Mr. Moseby to live 'The Suite Life' in a whole new setting -- this time aboard a luxury cruise liner."
The channel is now casting for other roles, including London's roommate, Bailey, a Southern girl described as the complete opposite of the hotel heiress. Not returning as a regular in the spin-off will be "Suite Life" and "High School Musical" co-star Ashley Tisdale, who is turning her focus to her film career. But Tisdale might return to the show as a recurring character, Disney Channel senior vice president original programming Adam Bonnett said.
Bonnett added that some scripts were completed before the writers' strike; he hopes to quickly put the show into production once the walkout ends. Like "Suite Life," the spin-off will be a multicamera show shot in front of an audience.
Noting Disney Channel's presence in countries around the world, Bonnett added that the cruise ship setting gives the writers and producers a chance to "go global with the concept" and offers other opportunities as well.
"This is a premise that can travel and go to different locales and ports of call so that we're not doing a show set just in the U.S.," he said. "(In addition), it's an organic setting to bring in unique musical numbers and performances. Like a real cruise ship, we can have a theater where we can create original production numbers."
The Emmy-nominated "Suite Life" was last year's No. 2 scripted series in the demographic categories of kids 6-11 and tweens 9-14, behind only Disney's "Hannah Montana."

i was surprised by this too. and especially since she is an
entertainer you think they would have her character get a job a board
the ship as a singer and taking the boys with. though the semester a
board sounds good too. has anyone mentioned anything about a spin off
about arwin moving in with his sister? i read it on tv.com a while
ago and havent heard anything since.

New SDS screencaps section!
Webmaster Greg has been hard at work caping making, sorting, processing, and uploading tens of thousands of screencaps over the last couple months for his new Disney Channel Fans site. One of the great by products of this effort is it allows us to set up a SDS branded/themed screencap gallery as well! Just click here to see it, or you can get to it by clicking the "Screencaps" button on the SDS main page.
The Save Jake Long
Movement
Over the past few weeks there has been a lot of turbulence in the ADJL community, especially as it relates to the efforts of Kim Possible fans. At SDS, we believe it's time to get back to the basics and let the other issues work themselves out. With that in mind, we have a Save Jake event scheduled for this weekend, and we really, really, need everyone to participate. There’s not a lot of time left, so we need every one who can to send their paper letters as soon as possible. If you don't know what to say, you can print one of our flyers sign your name to it and mail it to Disney. The fact that you send something, anything, is much better than having sent nothing at all. For more on Save Jake Day, including
letter writing ideas, web-faxing information, and phone numbers, please refer to SaveJakeLong.com/day.php.
More Upcoming Events
Save Phil of the Future Day
We still want Phil in our Future, and we can still get a proper ending to this series. We're only a few days away from the next Save Phil Day on January 21st, so be ready!
Kim Possible Legacy Day is February 10th, First anniversary of Season 4! We have to fight for boxsets so that we can preserve Kim's legacy. If you also want to push for a fifth season, this is the time as well.
There are rumors that Disney realizes that this franchise's overseas popularity is worth the effort to continue production. If we can show decent USA and international support on February 14th, it could be enough to put us "over the top."
If you're a fan of the new DC series, The Wizards of Waverly Place read on! [If you're not, read anyway :) ] First of all, we've set up a nifty little site for Wizards with some basic information on the show, so that should
this show ever meet a fate similar to Phil we'll be ready! The informational site is WizardsOfWaverlyPlace.info. Please, even if you aren't a fan, do what you can to spread the link online so that if/when the time comes Wizards fans can find us!
But it get better, not only do we have that informational site, but Webmaster Greg created a whole brand new forum just for Wizards fans! You can find the forums at wowpfans.com. This is a NEW forum that is independent of any external rules, relationships, etc. This forum will be shaped solely by the people who join it - much like the W.I.T.C.H. Forum.
Finally yet importantly, we wanted to remind you that we have caps of every aired episode of Wizards up right now on DC Fans. Just click here.
NEW YORK (AP) — It was ever so brief, but the use of a body double by Miley Cyrus on her best-selling “Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus ‘Best of Both Worlds’ ” tour is creating plenty of buzz.
A video posted on YouTube shows the 15-year-old entertainer as “Hannah” dancing onstage with a
group of dancers and the Jonas Brothers, also on the tour. During the song, someone ushers her offstage via a trap door. Immediately, another girl dressed like the character “Hannah” in the same pink trench coat with blonde hair covering her faces dances around, runs up the stage set, and then quickly leaves.
While the double is holding a microphone for her less than a minute, the girl motions like she is singing. However, a rep for Miley said the switch was only for costume purposes.
“To help speed the transition from Hannah to Miley, there is a
production element during the performance of ‘We Got the Party’ incorporating a body double for Miley,” according to statement Friday from the public relations firm PMK.
“After Hannah has completed the featured verse on the duet with the Jonas Brothers, a body double appears approximately one to two minutes prior to the end of the song in order to allow Miley to remove the Hannah wig and costume and transform into Miley for her solo set. Other than during this very brief transitional moment in the show, Miley performs live during the entirety of both the Hannah and Miley segments of the concert.”
Miley’s “Hannah Montana” tour is one of the nation’s hottest tours, selling out within minutes when tickets went on sale last fall. Some people have been reselling tickets for thousands of dollars. Miley has released two albums under the “Hannah Montana” brand, both of which have sold more than two million copies.
The “Hannah Montana” is an offshoot of the Walt Disney Co. TV show.
Email and Paper Petitions
Just a reminder, if
you haven't already, please sign the Save KP, Save Jake, and Save Phil email petitions. And after you've done that, please get started on the paper petitions. The usage of the paper petitions has dropped of very drastically over the past few months.
This concludes this edition of the SDS newsletter(s). Thanks for reading from all of us at Save Disney Shows.
That sounds like your taking a shot at NS Greg? Ah it's ok, some like different shows then others. Just like me and never watching an episode of heroes despite people saying it is good. Well if you have any NS caps or episodes or sound bites or anything from the show would you mind passing them along to me.
Wow Greg that fix site is great. Did not know about it. And the Naturally Sadie group I see I will have to join although the program is no longer on DC but is still shown on Family out of Canada.

well then if we do a paper petition what address are we soppose to send it to. And what am I soppos eto call the petition SAVE_THE_SUITE_LIFE? And can we do one for Hannah Montana?
A traditional online
petition, like petitionspot. com for example, is generally a waste of time. Everyone (including disney) knows that people can and do sign them multiple times so no one really takes them seriously.
We've set up old fashioned paper petitions for some of the other shows we've been involved with (See:
http://savedisneysh ows.org/petition / ) but for whatever reason a lot of people don't want to take the time to actually use that.
The third option, which was an original idea created at SDS, is what we call an "email petition." However, I seem to be the only one who knows how to properly do the labor on the back end to make this work, and I'm already committed to running three of these. I don't think I can handle doing another one.
Therefore, I would say that the paper petition
is the only viable option at this point. If at least a few people are interested in that, I can get it set up in a day or two.
But one way or another, I hope that people who care about the future of this show use the tools and resources on http://help. savedisneyshows. org/ to contact Disney.
It makes a starting point. Zach is Zack. But also consider if the cast and/or writing/creative crew decide to end/leave then the shows' fans would need to address them and not the production company. I think we need to know if Cole and Dylan and Ashley and Brenda and Phill and Kim want to stop and move on or wanted to continue. Then maybe we should wait till the finale airs so we can see if it was meant to be the last ep or not; kinda like how Grad. was for KP. I am looking forward to next weekend on DC as it will be all SL. But please keep in mind that Disney is working on another live-action series starring the Jonas Brothers so the cxl of SL may be due to reassign budget for new series. But overall I like your initiative and will support a SL movie, that would be cool and some more eps if cast and crew are on board, I can suspend my disbelief a little more.
I thought it would be good to get everyone's input on this before
making it official. What follows is my draft of the petition
statement. This is the actual statement people are saying they support
by signing the petition, and I want to make sure it makes sense. :)
To: The Walt Disney Company
We, The Undersigned, believe that your company's decision to stop
production of the popular show The Suite Life of Zach and Cody is a
mistake. The goal of any media company is to get people to watch their
programming, so shows that have high ratings should be kept in
production until the people decide they have had enough, at which
point the ratings will decline which has not happened. That's So Raven
has shown that that it is good business practice to make four or more
seasons of a show, and with its large ensemble cast, The Suite Life
has a lot of potential left. We present you this petition in the hope
of convincing the company to continue The Suite Life related projects;
be they another season, a spin off, a movie, or something else.
Thank you,
The Undersigned

The Naturally Sadie group was Wayne's idea. I've never watched the show.
