I think the first thing we need to do is get a head
writer/facilitator/producer/whatever you want to call it. Someone to
organize the writing team(s). Any volunteers?

I have asked about it before and I was told that it's not being done
even during the war time.

I just said that!

For me the best time is 6-10 PM EST and unfortunatelly that's the same
time when i work with my writing.

Can I cast myself, as a mysterious officer involved, I meant stranded
with McQueen on an alien planet with no hopes for rescue?
A while back there was a whole discussion about guest actors. My vote
Malcolm
McDowell ( I think that's how it's spelled) as McQueen's brother that
doesn't won't to reminded about being a Tank. and to spark attention in
Star Trek fans and Babylon 5 fans to bring up someone from that series
like Claudia Christian. I'm not familiar with ST to bring names.

I already have parts about Col. being at the hospital after getting
cybernetic leg (my timeline - from what happened on saratoga to
Thanksgiving 2064), getting therapy and leaving hospital.
> Thatwould help us out, because once we get the basic plot ironed out,

What I was planning to write:- McQueen is in charge of observing the
secret squadron that belong to Aero-Tech ( they test experimental
weapons for A-T), he has an experimental implant that allows him to fly,
but he's not aware of it, from that squadron only one person survives
and unwillingly joins the Wang's empty spot ( this is in my script)
- Wild Cards get a new commanding officer female major that doesn't give
a crab about them only is trying to advance in her carrier using famous
58th.
- Saratoga is a spaceship in the separate area, her objective finding a
mining source of Sewel Fuel.
- Wild Cards have to get back from the Chig's hands a hill/mountain, not
knowing that there is an entrance to the SF mine on the top. (based on
Vietnam War events)
- Wild cards have to defend a undefendable place, that is a secret
storage for SF, to avoid capture they have to let one of them be taken
prisoner. (loosely based on 1939 fights over Westerplatte peninsula)
- Saratoga needs to get to Moon base to get new guns, the old ones were
damaged in the fierce fight, Wild Cards get a free time, Cooper gets
invited to a Tank family, all Wild Cards go there to visit him and help
during the mountain rescue (OK, I know it's a stretch, but that line
follows the treads in my script, and it's something different, alittle
bit of human behavior)

This is the best book about script writing I have read so far, the least
confusing. I really recommend it. My copy is already falling apart.
That's how I started, my first script was a 2 parter for Babylon 5.

Welcome!!!! We can always use idea people and beta readers.
A virtual season is a season run totally on-line. Fans have been doing
that for years but Phoenix Virtual Television is the first on-line
"station" and they have accepted doing S:AAB as a series of movies.
Hopefully, we can work it into a regular series once again.
THE WILD HUNT is at:
http://www.sff.net/people/rayhne/personal/rayhne.htm
HEART AND SOUL is currently off line but may be returning soon.
Days to meet does mean on-line chatting.
Hi
My name is Angela Miles-Zaidi and I heard about this group through the
James Morrison Discussion Group.I would very much like to join. I have
to admit that I have no writing skills--the closet that I come is
helping to write the grade 7 play for Christmas--way back in the days
when Christmas was celibrated in schools and I was in grade 7 . Since
then the only writing I have done is the occational letter to my
Grandmother--. However I do love Space; Above and Beyond.
I have read the past 18 letters/posts and am very interested--but being
a non computer person can I ask some questions--such as what is a
vertual season
movie? Where can I find The wild hunt and Heart and Soul--they sound
very interesting and I would like to read them ? When people write
'Days what you might be able to meet " it this a chat line ..thing..?
What is <beg>?
I think that it is the good idea to follow what Margan and Wong wanted
for the second season; ( although I did enjoy Wang - I think that he
added a touch of comedy, and a very little bit of me wishes that
Windlow could be brought back , as I think that she added a bit of
....naughtyness...?) but I am certain that W & M know best. I also
think is would be a very good idea to write a time line--a type of
skeleton of what and why and where the writing would be going.

Everyone remain calm, I'm here to help. My appearence may have
inspired irrational panic but I assure you, really, "George, just here
to help!" I definetly like the idea of a court trial. In the military
everything is by the book. If we deviate by letting the 58th
mysteriously slip by we would be breaking a universal law that governs
the character's reality. That does not mean that the trial itself will
be straight forward. I forsee the whole government\alien conspiracy
issue become even more prevalent and mysterious through the progress of
the trial. On top of it all there is no good reason that they will be
aquitted. If they are pronounced guilty the audience will be shocked
and outraged. It could be our hook. Then, because it is a time of war
the 58th's sentance could realistically be some kind of disciplinary
probation. Or you could strip them of their rank. Cooper's sentance to
the military will probably be extended. But the military would leave
them in a battle intensive position because it doesn't have the trained
personel to replace them. As a side note, They have probably gained
some big enemies and they will probably be ordered into some sticky
situations without being given thurough briefings.
As to meeting times- noon west coast time is the best time for me to
meet.

I know it, Rayhne, I was just pulling your leg. :)
You got to admit, though, you did sort of stick your ankle out there where I
could get hold of it easily. :)
Seriously, though, S:AAB was squeaky-clean compared to a lot of evening
programming. Adult themes were handled with a great deal of restraint, yet
without sugar-coating anything. When we did see violence on screen, it had
an impact because it wasn't over-used. The same thing was true of sexual
themes. Look at R&R. It wasn't necessary to show Paul and Vanessa's
rendezvous to get the point across. For that matter, Cooper and the lady of
the evening had their clothes on while the camera was pointed at them. I
don't think we should have any trouble staying within the TV-14 range. It
isn't a matter of what we present, but rather, how we present it.
As for the special effects -- heh. We don't have to worry a limited budget
for CGI or pyrotechnics. And we don't have to pay the guest stars, either!
:)
Which brings me to another idea I had. When developing guest parts, I think
we should give some thought to the actor we'd cast in the role. It plays
into the whole "TV script" feel that we're trying to create, and it will
give the writers a good starting point for the character.

I think some of those entries came from conversations Pat had with Morgan

already mentioned about following the plans that M&W had for the second

Most of this already exists at Mission Status. Do you know if Pat Moss is
still site admin there, or did he pass those duties to Kate and/or Jane as
well? Would it be possible to get permission to use that data at least as a
starting point so we don't have to completely reinvent the wheel?
As for the first season guide, a lot of the photoessays have been completed.
May I suggest that we write a short one or two paragraph description of each
episode, and link that page to the photoessay ring?

Actually, I think we want to do this as scripts...for now, movie
scripts. If it takes off, then we will ease it back into a series.

Maybe I shoulod introduce my credencails. I'm not a writor, I don't

that I write are movie scripts or episodic TV scripts. At the moment I
have for SAAB finished 2 hour TV special movie script.

Me. My thoughts: first episode (2 hour special) Vansen and Phousse
should return, court for West and Cooper, a little bit about McQueen on
Earth and just a mentioning about escalation of war with the

I think the first thing we need to do is establish where this second

Hi Rayhne and others!
I was sent here by RiverRat ::waves to Becky:: who says you could probably
put me to work someway, though I ahve to admit that I don't think I'll be
much use to you people as a writer since like you most of my ideas are
already claimed by the 2nd season of SAAB that I'm trying to write. In
fact, you have the first 4 eps of "Six Against The Dealer" on your SAAB
Creative Works Centre! But if you need help editing, reading, commenting,
etc... I'm more than willng Anything to keep SAAB alive! :)

Welcome!!! I am truly hoping that this Virtual Movie Season works out.
It could be alot of fun.
First off, I'd like to say that as much as I'd like to write a second
season, most of my plotlines are tied up in my series, THE WILD HUNT.
Those that aren't aren't are HEART AND SOUL, which, as many of you
probably know, is more of a science fantasy series, bringing in
sentient ships and other alien races. Which I think might be a bit much
for this virtual series. I am, however, available to work as webweaver,
beta reader, and general think tank/idea person.
I think we should start the virtual movies where the series actually
left off. However, we may want to first establish timelines,
characters, possible upcoming events, etc before the writing starts.
