Barbara stopped by Paul's office raving about how the wedding plans
were going so smoothly. He asked her if her brother, Frank, would be
attending since they've reconciled, and Barbara covered her lie and
said that Frank was so busy he wouldn't have time. He told her he
booked the honeymoon and was going to give her the life she's always
dreamed about.

Ian stopped in at Sutter's Mill to try and talk to Ashley about their
father, Dan, but she told him she is happy being Ashley Thompson and
wants nothing to do with the Levin family.

After hearing about Karen from Damien, Manny stopped by Angela's house
in Nyack to check on her. She told him it was Brian's job now to worry
about her. She went to shower when the phone rang and asked Manny to
answer it. He did, and it was Karen, who was sobbing and saying that
Angela would not have to worry about her again. She hung up on the
confused Manny, who told Angela it was a wrong number.

With Ian's New Year's plans canceled, Cyrus invited him over to this
place to ring in the New Year.

Manny arrived at Karen's apartment to see what was up with her, and
found the door unlocked. He looked around the apartment and finally
found her, collapse in the bedroom next to a bottle of pills.

Manny showed up at Caroline's office unannounced and Eve, still
working as her admin, refused to let him see her. He remembered her
from Thanksgiving, but she had forgotten him thanks to her heavy
drinking that day. Once she realized he was Dante's uncle, she asked
him his story, and he explained how he only learned Richard Ramos was
his father as an adult. Caroline showed up and Manny left to talk to
her, but Eve was curious to find out more about him.

Damien visited Karen and tried to get her to talk about Angela and
Brian, but she refused. She got Damien to admit that Brian had some
theories about her motives which infuriated her. She was so upset that
she kicked Damien out. After he was gone, she wondered if she had

Episode 46 - Thanksgiving in Rockland County

As Miranda helped prepare Thanksgiving dinner for the Ramos family,
Elijah sulked that the two of them always had to have Ramos leftovers
and he's tired of it. She told him to stop whining and then became
furious when he brought up her erratic behavior of late.

As Eve complained she was starving, she waited with Arden and Brian
for Angela to arrive. When Angela showed up, Eve's fist comments were
that she was black. Arden couldn't believe she said it and it wasn't
clear if Angela heard her or not.

At the main house, Manny and Caroline quesitoned Paul on his suprising
Thanksgiving invitation, and he told them that Dante insisted they be
there. Barbara offered everyone drinks, and Paul made a crack about
Manny's drinking, but Manny quietly declined. As everyone arrived,
Miranda declared that dinner was ready.

As family and friends gathered around the dining room table, Dante
made a Thanksgiving day speech about all he is thankful for this year.

working type either.

ROCKLAND, THE SOAP OPERA

The cast of Rockland County, a new soap opera, is a veritable "who's
who" of daytime TV. There's stunning Anne Sayre from As the World
Turns, naughty Nick Sullivan of All My Children, and others. However,
you'll never see these good-looking actors—playing the mysterious
Morgan family and wealthy Ramos clan—on your TV screen. Rockland
County, you see, is an Internet-based soap.

The show debuted in March 2005, and has been airing every week since
in 15-minute segments. Devotees either listen live (Wed. and Fri.,
9:45 a.m.; www.radiologer.com ), download episodes as MP3s from the
show's website ( www.rocklandcountysoap.com ), or subscribe to its
Podcast (using iTunes). Roger Newcomb, a 34-year-old Airmont resident,
masterminds the show, penning and producing each episode. "The key is
the writing," he says. "I want to return soaps to the dramatic
standard that shows like Guiding Lighthad on radio in the '30s."

In addition to being a first for Rockland, the show is also an
Internet pioneer. Though the networks have finally caught on—witness
Podcasts of Guiding Light— Rockland County already has 40-odd
episodes. With iPod sales still exploding, Newcomb's idea of a radio
soap renaissance might not be overly dramatic after all. —T.M.

Angela stopped by Sutter's Mill to see Damien and Caroline was there.
She told them about Karen's accusations against Brian, but she was
sure it had to be a misunderstanding. Manny showed up and Caroline
remembered him mentioning that he had seen Karen and Brian that night
at dinner, so Angela reluctantly asked her ex what he saw. He told her
that he didn't notice Brian flirting with Karen at all.

Brian arrived at the Psych Center as Karen was preparing to leave. He
told her he didn't understand how she could misinterpret anything he
did or said into the story she told Angela. She said that maybe it was
a misunderstanding. When she saw Cyrus walking out of the elevator,
she began yelling at Brian telling him to leave her alone. Cyrus
witnessed this and ran up to help her. Brian was confused and didn't
understand what she was trying to pull. He left to go call Angela and
Karen knew she had to reach her first.
