Let me get to that newspaper machine! I AM SO READY, AND  I wondered how they were going to make next season interesting, as if they had beat the 9/11 horse too much?  BUt lo and behold Leary comes up with a smashing idea of someone writing a book about 9-11. What could be more brilliant for lots of drama and situations!!!! Tick tock, I cannot wait!

I really enjoyed the show. Wish it had been 2 hours. The characters were
interesting as always. Tommy is funny and brash as ever.

I look forward to the next 21 episodes.

I thought Gina Gershon summed it up when she said, "this is boring, I'm going to take a shower"

I thought the episode was ridiculous unbelievable, they cant seem to recapture the magic of Season 1,2, and 3 season 4 was on a slow decline and this season looks like it has 'jumped the shark"

What a quiet bunch we are this year.  Last night was brilliant for all the actors, esp Sheila and Michael J Fox. and Tommy Gavin, why this guy does not have an Emmy yet I do not know.  Sheila's therapy monologue had me in tears.

Well Well, Tommy and his ex heated up the screen last night. Janet likes it
rough, huh? And Lou and Tommy, like and old married couple.
When they were swapping insults in the truck (The Lord of the Taint vs. The
Grand Sphincter) I thought I would pee my pants laughing so hard!

The dumb one that was married to Tommy's Sis. I really feel for him, he needs a
friend, with his Cancer. And the new Chief did not appreciate the Rumble at the
Firehouse. I dare say he will be in his Full Sphicter Regalia next week as well
to tame his frisky crew.

Stay tuned next week, did you see the previews? More of the Nasty Gavin Lovin.

Wow, Tommy really was put through the mill last night.  The robber that was supposed to be Conner in his hallucination was quite the dramatic twist.  Tommy is such a tortured soul.  Poor Dude,  then at the last he had to save Sheila's son anyway. All those idiots at the firehouse were poo pooing Tommy being worried about the ridealong.  Mikey is such a weak sister anyway. What I mean by that, he cannot say no to anyone.

What do you all think Tommy is having, Hallucinations, Blackouts, Mind Wandering????
He had 2 shots of Vodka, then the brown stuff, which I am assuming is Irish Whiskey.

Thank God for Lou.

Yes kind of a powerful episode. A bit predictable in the end though I guess with
Damien getting into some trouble. Still had me tense though.

There isn't as much commentary from this group as in past seasons. I hope the
show is not losing its appeal. I remain a devoted fan. It's the only drama show
I watch regularly.

I havent checked the Facebook fan group lately but in the past it seemed like
there was not too much chatter there about the show either. But then, sometimes
there is little commentary on a lot of Facebook groups.

Anyway, the episode at Katy's school had some laughs. When Tommy said the only
people who can afford to live in Manhattan are Eurotrash or gay people I burst
out laughing. I wonder how accurate the show was though. I'm sure there are a
lot of snobby people with kids attending private schools like that. But it's
hard to believe so many would be so rude and stuck up. Nowadays there probably
are some families of more modest means with kids in those schools. It might have
been a bit overdone for entertainment purposes. But that's what we expect from
this show. :)

Those schools must be really expensive too. Where is Janet getting the $$ for
that? Unless we are to assume Katy is on some kind of scholarship.

I can understand Katy was embarrassed and upset. But it seems to me when your
parents are paying the bill for your schooling, yelling at them and telling them
to stay out of you life probably is not the best thing to do.

I have wondered about that too. It's almost as if they forgot the child existed.
I thought I heard Dwight make some reference to "the little guy" a few episodes
back. I guess he is just not seen. Wasn't his name Wyatt?

I had forgotten Johnny was the father. Wasn't there some question that he might
be Tommy's though? With all that time between seasons I lose track of some of
the plots.

Not much chatter about this week's episode, or last week's....

I did not know that was Kathleen Chalfant as Garrity's mom. What a performance.
And that guy playing Terrence is hysterical. He resembles Sean a little and
could really be his brother.
